Hey guys! So my camera unfortunately had a small issue focusing in this video. I hope the picture quality doesn't detract from the video too much. Hope you enjoy!
I think the combo you showcased is a very good argument for playing the lady at 3. She's never bad to draw, even drawing multiples is not the worst thing
The problem with running 3 is that it ups the chances of getting it than if you ran 2, and it takes 1 more spot on your deck (which is huge in scenarios where you would want a specific card but accidentally drew her instead because you decided to triple her instead of putting a life saving card in her place). Of course drawing is all about luck but the quantity of your cards also play a role in whether or not your next card could be useful or straight up get you sent to the shadow realm.
@@razo5567trap decks running 40+ cards is not an issue, people played 60 card eldlich lair labyrinths before, if the problem is getting spell and trap negates you can simply run more, or side them in
I usually never comment on youtube videos, but here I am. So, I've been watching your channel ever since I first saw you pop up on TeamAPS's channel back in the early 2010's when you were playing Treeborn Monarchs. I remember another player named Dimitri were in your videos too and it seemed like you guys got along really well, hope he's doing good. Anyways, I just wanted to say I just got back into playing the game again when Tactical Masters came out and Labrynth is the deck I picked up. So to see you play the deck and win with it is just amazing. I'll definitely be trying out this build at my locals.
Not bad. I feel like Archfiend's Ghastly Glitch is way better than some of the traps you put in there, as well as Fiend Griefing (in the side) in the current format. Back Jack is still one of the best support cards for trap decks, and especially with the field spell you can set-up some nasty floodgates (like End of Anubis/Chaos Hunter/Dark Barrier Statue (in side)) with Glitch/Griefing anyways
Yeah, I couldn't agree more, but it makes sense in his version that he doesn't play Back Jack because he plays so many non normal trap cards. Well Rivalry is a good Floodgate vs Tearlaments, but I wouldn't main it. I also main Back Jack and Ghastly Glitch and swap the Ghastly Glitch for Friend Griefing vs Tearlaments. Not sure why he isn't playing Eradicator and Dimensional Barrier even at 1 copy. They are way better than Rivalry vs Tearlaments.
@@ParadoX-os I maindeck one copy of dbarrier and one copy of EEV just in case. I also don't run Gozen or Rivalry. What are your thoughts on 1 copy of set-up and 1 of farewelcome (will be big welcome when it gets released) for the grind game?

I like end of anubis, however, only if you are playing ghastly glitch, because then anubis has insane synergy with the field spell. If fenrir is not an option you could play bystials, maybe lava golems, or just more good trap cards like compuls.
If you go second and open Chandelier and Backjack you can set a Welcome Labyrinth and potentially a trap that is activatable during you opponents turn. Why not maximize on that?
The D/D/D comco is really solid, I play d/d/d myself and I am hoping to see some more great support for the archtype, it is almost amazing and tournament stable, at this moment it is not. So I am thinking about labyrinth, but the cost is always the issue for me in YGO xD.
I wish we could have seen the Labrynth deck in action prior to POTE's release. Could have been a nice rogue deck in a more diverse, lower power level format.
Yea, she isn't mandatory by any means. I have had her come up a few time to special off welcome in the grind. You don't have to play her if you are trying to make space for other cards.
Ariane will be better once we get Big Welcome Labrynth, but yeah for now you can cut her, but if you do, then you are probably gonna also cut the D/D/D package because realistically you won't get 2 Arianna on the field that often.
I'm going to be honest, ledger is a terrible idea. I thought about it before but the downsides outweigh the benefits. Downsides being it only temporary removes the 2 monsters, your opponent gains life points which put you behind & if you can't get rid of the monsters on your turn then you wasted time & slots in your deck.
I think you messed up the ruling on cooclock at the start of your combo part of the video. You have to set the trap you want to use first because cooclock says that "was" set this turn
Hey, how good do you think this deck will be with ishizu tear and stuff? Post mama I'm considering it since every single deck I want to play is going to be pepega in that format
I think that labrynth having its own in engine temple in cooclock is enough in my mind. Every time I have tested the card (in traptrix in particular) I have never liked it, however, it has great synergy with lady. I'm just not sure it is needed when cooclock exists.
I am super excited for that card to release as it is a super solid addition to the deck. I will definitely have an updated profile when that card releases in what might be a completely different format.
Just a question. I see you're not running Back jack, imperm, nor ghastly glitch. And even though it doesn't solve the problem of ash but helps, called by the grave. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on these?
Awesome deck profile! I recently got 1st at my locals with a similar list. I understand the Prosperity argument, but I disagree and believe that Extrav and Prosperity have equally valid reasons to play either or. Have you thought about running Back Jack? Opening Torbie/Chandraglier + Back Jack allows you to set up and interrupt your opponent's plays after losing the die roll. Really helpful especially going into games 2 & 3 after siding in Eradicator/DDG/D Barrier. Also, how did Strike perform against Tear? I've decided against running it because it triggers their 2nd effects.
You would normally want to strike tear grave effects and not their on field effects. Strike has performed great for me. Its not particularly amazing in the tear matchup, but it's not super bad either. I think prosperity and extravagance are equal in game 1. But once the side deck is involved I think prosperity wins by a mile... maybe 2 miles.
@@TopTierGamingYGO Glad Strike did well on you! I'll think about its inclusion in my list. Also, I'd argue you don't need Prosperity depending on your decklist and sideboard. I'm running 3 Eradicator, 3 Judgment, 1 Waking in side. So probability-wise I'd have a 63.75% chance to open any of those, as well as the 20-30% chance of opening the 3-card combo; more than enough to justify running Extrav over Prosperity.
Great profile! But I have been playing labrynth for weeks and I cannot understand why you run lady at 2. Silver castle is great, lady is kinda meh most of the time for me. She does nothing on the opponent's turn that provides an interruption in that turn, so she feels like playing with one less card. Also, 3 back jack with 3 ghastly glitch have been working so well for me. Why did you choose to cut these amazing cards? I also like compulse at 3 because it is a very good removal that triggers labrynths and you can also compulse your arianna to trigger your labrynths and summon arianna to trigger her again. Would love to hear your reasoning. Great video anyways!
Backjack was a card I think was great in the original iteration of this deck before lady. Now I feel like the deck has been upgraded to a point after darkwing blast where blackjack is not needed and might just create hands with too many normal summons.
@@TopTierGamingYGO what about after the ishizu cards come out, and they can mill the card from ur deck? Or is that too niche of a situation to plan for?
@@tankmonx4447 I think he is worth playing as long as you run more normal trap cards. It just depends on the version you want to play. I've had hands where I opened Back Jack and 4 traps. I just set the 4 traps, normal summoned Back Jack, went into Linkuriboh, stacked the top 3 cards of my deck, which gave me valuable information on how to play moving forward. Even Back Jack doesn't reveal a trap it's fine. I've had times where I saw Pot of Extravagance + 2 other cards in those 3 revealed cards, stacked Pot on the top of my deck and on my upcoming turn I drew Pot and with pot the other 2 cards I saw. It can really be insane. I personally play 2 Ghastly Glitch, but I do have 2 Fiend Griefing in the side deck for when playing vs Tears.
I would side End of Anubis, but I am not a huge fan of it, since it conflicts with a lot of your cards. You can just dump it to the GY, hoping you will get to revive it with your Field Spell and your opponent just banishes it with their Bystials. Also weird how nobody talks about Invader of Darkness that counters Runick so well and doesn't hurt you like End of Anubis does.
@@ParadoX-os totally agree just thinking the current format with tear + bystial running around think maining isn’t awful 😅 But you’re definitely right with siding it
@@leehuntingdon3348 It's definitely not awful I just don't like it because it messes with Back Jack, Stovie and Chand in the GY. Sure it hurts them more than it hurts you, but vs decks that aren't Tearlaments, the advantage he gives isn't as big. Plus I do think cards like Fiend Griefing, Karma Cut, Compulsory, Ice Dragon's Prison are more than enough to deal with Tearlaments and they don't hurt your own strategy. I think Labrynth has one of the most flexible side decks ever. You can be prepared for almost anything you will face vs the meta.
@@lz9275 Yeah, I think they are ok in the side. Just don't expect it to perform too much with Bystials in the meta. They can banish it before you even revive it.
@@TopTierGamingYGO Would you mind linking me to where you got it? I can only find it with zones on it. I want one like what you have without any zones.
very good decklist, just one thing, at minute 21 of the combo you say that if they don't have an answer you can activate lady. Lady is actually a trigger effect, so being a player turn you can do chain blocking, with welcome cl1 and lady cl2
I hate to inform you but that is unfortunately incorrect. It works like a paleozoic. "When you can" is optional and must directly respond to what it says it must respond to. If you are the one who activates a normal trap, your opponent then gets the next chance to respond, and if they have a response that is not a normal trap you cannot proc lady. However, if it is your opponents normal trap being activated, you get the first response and then you can instantly chain her. It's unfortunate but think of her effect like a paleozoic monster
The biggest thing turning me off from this deck is the fact that none of it is solved. Literally no two deck profiles are the same. The ratios of everything change wildly on a week-to-week basis. We can't know how good Lab truly is in the meta when we can't agree on whether cards are viable or not.
Personally I think that's the best thing about the deck. It's fun to build with tons of innovation because there is no "best build" That being said "solved decks" in a living format also just don't exist. Almost no two topping tear decks are the same. The variation for tear lists is quite ridiculous as well. I think decks can only be solved in retrospect. Decks in goat format and edison format are still evolving haha
Extravagance CAN be better in control decks like Labrynth and Eldlich. Prosperity is better in decks that need to see their 1 card starter as fast as possible. Labrynth doesn't have that issue. So it has nothing to do with coping. I understand your logic of wanting to find the anti backrow hate card in your deck, but that is such a lousy reasoning for running Prosperity and ignoring the benefits of Extravagance. Starlight Road is searchable through Lady and with 3 Solemn Judgements in the side deck, it should be more than enough to see one of those cards. Ichiroku is a nice tech card, but I feel like Karma Cut is just overall the way better normal trap that banishes your opponent's monsters, since it gets rid of the monster/s for good and can destroy Tearlaments way more, while Ichiroku can even help your opponent win in time in certain scenarios. Karma Cannon is just insane vs any deck that makes links a lot. Not the best vs Tears, but great vs everything else. No Shade Brigandine is insane to me, especially when you made that huge argument about running Prosperity over Extravagance. Arianna + Brigandine = Abyss Dweller + Eradicator on your opponent's turn. That's GG go next, they are not playing through that. I do like the D/D/D package in the Extra Deck and I do also ran that, but that's why I could argue that Arianne is worth playing at 2 even. Well maybe not yet, but for sure in the future when we get Big Welcome Labrynth. Side note: That mat is so good. I need it lol
Relying on extravagance when you want consistency is not a safe bet. Prosperity is the better pot card, especially after game 1. High rolling with extravagance can feel nice if you are lucky, but it's not a bet I'm willing to take. I side out the ledger books near time like I said in the profile, however, I think karma cut is a good option as well. It also has synergy with cooclock which I like. My only problem are the situations when I don't really have a great discard, as I am already discarding for engine cards. Brigandine is a card that has some decent first turn combos, however if you draw it without arianna it's extremely bad, and it doesn't have very much power in the grind either once you have traps in grave. honestly I just can't see squeezing it in to a 40 card list. Idek what I would attempt to take out for it. Every other card in the list is much better than brigandine 1 karma cannon is mandatory imo for the unoutable towers cards or huge threats like avramax. With lovely it's an absolute blowout as well. If you don't want to run more than 1, that's fine, but 1 is mandatory. Thanks for the feedback!
@@TopTierGamingYGO I just think you make backrow hate a bigger issue than it really is. People don't main a lot of it, so in game game 2 or 3 if you are going second I feel like 3 Judgment and 1-2 Starlight Road is more than enough. For Karma Cut you can play 2 of them, instead of 3. Most of the time I think you have the discard fodder, but I get what you mean. I think Karma Cut is better for me because I also play King Back Jack. Brigandine is good even if you don't draw it with Arianna. It's also great if you draw it with Lady. Personally I also play Lady at 3 because she never feels like a brick. Arianne + Brigrandine can also be Abyss Dweller + Lady on the field, just no Eradicator. I do agree that Karma Cannon is mandatory at 1, but so is 1 Eradicator and 1 Dimensional Barrier imo.
Now i sit and patiently wait for the post MAMA Witchcrafter deck profile (and then get reminded how pepega the deck still is) Well at least cards like Cartesia help get Vice-Madame out easier.
Better to play against this with interaction traps, than a trap deck like eldlich with 12+ floodgates hahaha Backrow destruction works really well against it if you are struggling though.
@@TopTierGamingYGO ive only faced against it using lair of darkness in tournaments and if i lose the dice roll its an instaloss. My dragonmaids have a fair matchup.
@@TopTierGamingYGO I would side 3 Solemn Judgements for when knowing you are going first and people will side in backrow hate or maybe 2-3 Starlight Roads, since they can also be set by Lady. That should be enough, but probably Solemn Judgment over Starlight Road because Judgement stops Evenly. Starlight Road doesn't.
I'm not hating on this deck (I like it a bit and play it digitally) - just making that clear before I get massacred. Now... onto my death sentence... I find this deck extremely boring and pretty braindead. To me, it feels like Eldlich 2.0, just a LITTLE BIT less braindead and a bit more fun. 😅 Of course, I'm not an expert on this deck, so I could be wrong of course- maybe it DOES take some more skill, but if someone cares to argue why it's so good (when I literally never said it wasn't good), feel free to pop off, I guess. 😐👍
I have both Prosperity and Extravagance and after testing online at least, I actually like Prosperity more, especially since I am running solemn judgment.
Played backjack in the past. He was great before lady, but after lady he isn't needed imo. However, post mavens, he could find his way back in since the opponent will be milling cards for you

I think that labrynth having its own in engine temple in cooclock is enough in my mind. Every time I have tested the card (in traptrix in particular) I have never liked it, however, it has great synergy with lady.
I'm just not sure it is needed when cooclock exists.
link for the playmat or the artework on hd?
Where did you get that awesome looking playmat?
Great profile! Any thoughts on what you would change once Big Welcome gets released? Or saving that for another vid when the day comes? ;D
I am super excited for that card to release as it is a super solid addition to the deck.
I will definitely have an updated profile when that card releases in what might be a completely different format.
Does someone have a link for the full decklist ?
Just a question. I see you're not running Back jack, imperm, nor ghastly glitch. And even though it doesn't solve the problem of ash but helps, called by the grave. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on these?
ok but like whered you get the playmat from
What's your thought on the new trap coming out for photon hypernova?
Can I buy that playmat somewhere??
Where'd you get the mat from?
I wonder if throwing in a small Dinomorhia package will be decent or if it's just not worth it.
I do play dinomorphia and I'm also planning on making dinomorphia/labrynth 😅
What do you normally banish off prosperity?
Where did you get that mat? I love it!
Good ol solid ebay hahah
@@TopTierGamingYGO can you give us the link ?
Again I ask, what field of work are you in, Aaron?
Thx bro🎉
Posso usar lava golem?
is this available in masterduel?
Agreed with basically everything you said.
What about adding Absolute Jack to the deck to search and set trap cards? And as discard fodder?
Backjack was a card I think was great in the original iteration of this deck before lady.
Now I feel like the deck has been upgraded to a point after darkwing blast where blackjack is not needed and might just create hands with too many normal summons.
@@TopTierGamingYGO what about after the ishizu cards come out, and they can mill the card from ur deck? Or is that too niche of a situation to plan for?
Also no Ultimate Falcon as Waking Dragon Target?
I personally play 2 Ghastly Glitch, but I do have 2 Fiend Griefing in the side deck for when playing vs Tears.
great profile where did you get the mat? thx
Ebay
Would you play compulsory evacuation device?
I took it out for ichirokus ledger book. Compulsory is still a good option though.
Think absolute king black jack is essential in this deck
Also main/ side fiendish griefing with end of Anubis is kinda busted
I would side End of Anubis, but I am not a huge fan of it, since it conflicts with a lot of your cards. You can just dump it to the GY, hoping you will get to revive it with your Field Spell and your opponent just banishes it with their Bystials. Also weird how nobody talks about Invader of Darkness that counters Runick so well and doesn't hurt you like End of Anubis does.
@@ParadoX-os totally agree just thinking the current format with tear + bystial running around think maining isn’t awful 😅
But you’re definitely right with siding it
@@leehuntingdon3348 It's definitely not awful I just don't like it because it messes with Back Jack, Stovie and Chand in the GY.
@@ParadoX-os like to side Anubis for tear and other grave related decks and invader of Darkness when it comes to runick or strikers
@@lz9275 Yeah, I think they are ok in the side. Just don't expect it to perform too much with Bystials in the meta. They can banish it before you even revive it.
Where can i get the Playmat?😅
Ebay
@@TopTierGamingYGO
Would you mind linking me to where you got it? I can only find it with zones on it. I want one like what you have without any zones.
I want ur playmat
Ya mismo me lo armo (?
I can't even understand it, I'm too distracted.
Common cooclock W
I mean yeah, it's objectively wrong not to play it.
very good decklist, just one thing, at minute 21 of the combo you say that if they don't have an answer you can activate lady.
Yess 1st
Expensive blood pulling or buying 2 starlights🥴🥴 good shit man
Unfortunately I was not lucky enough to pull them haha
The biggest thing turning me off from this deck is the fact that none of it is solved. Literally no two deck profiles are the same. The ratios of everything change wildly on a week-to-week basis. We can't know how good Lab truly is in the meta when we can't agree on whether cards are viable or not.
Personally I think that's the best thing about the deck. It's fun to build with tons of innovation because there is no "best build"
That being said "solved decks" in a living format also just don't exist.
Every other card in the list is much better than brigandine
1 karma cannon is mandatory imo for the unoutable towers cards or huge threats like avramax.
I don't care if it's meta or not, the girls are cute, I'm playing it.
Now i sit and patiently wait for the post MAMA Witchcrafter deck profile (and then get reminded how pepega the deck still is)
Well at least cards like Cartesia help get Vice-Madame out easier.
I am waiting for MAMA to get myself a playset of Evenly Matched. Card should go down in price, since it's getting reprinted again.
Can't set welcome the turn it was sent to the grave
This deck is so annoying to play against😭😭
Better to play against this with interaction traps, than a trap deck like eldlich with 12+ floodgates hahaha
Backrow destruction works really well against it if you are struggling though.
Ichiroku seems absolute ass in tournaments, literally asking to lose to time, especially since this deck has trouble putting damage
thanks for telling ppl who dont have prosperity to stop coping with extrav.
I also say extravagance is a fantastic replacement if you don't have prosperity.
That was an argument i gave specifically if you have access to both.
I have both Prosperity and Extravagance and after testing online at least, I actually like Prosperity more, especially since I am running solemn judgment.
Play back Jack thank me later
Played backjack in the past. He was great before lady, but after lady he isn't needed imo.
However, post mavens, he could find his way back in since the opponent will be milling cards for you
That is a VERY distracting Playmat
