I think it got second place in the ocg. I love control I don't like combo I just can't remember all the steps in order to get like those big boss monsters out I've always liked countering everything my opponent does rather than like putting up unbeatable monsters
The flexibility Labrynth has in a bo3 format is just insane, i don't think the deck is powerful enough to win a big event but i'm pretty sure it'll see many many tops. Really hope to see more support for this deck (as it is ''teased'' in big welcome labrynth's artwork).
Interesting list, my list is a little bit different, because I have a different take on it. I have a few small pointers 1) Cut Dogmatika Punishment, in a Kashtira format play the ED of whatever deck that doesn't rely on traps, and your Kashtira matchup becomes infinitly easier. You don't need the ED in Labrynth. 2) With the shufflers/bystials on low profile, I think 2 or 3 cooclock, and 1 stovie/1 chandra might be the way to go forward. It enables stronger turn 1 plays, and cooclock no longer is a brick, it's an insane enabler and a recurring resource that also allows you to adapt on the fly, you don't need temple of the kings when cooclock does it's job for you. 3) I'd maindeck 1 Eradicator Virus. It's still good vs many decks in the format.
As much as I'm gushing to try out a new Trap toolbox card based archetype for this format... (I really want to know where you got your playmat, it's genuinely gorgeous)
So glad I scooped up my welcome, Arianna, and lady lab play sets a couple months ago. Welcome going for $40 now is insane, and I thought $25 was a big ask.
Like the profile going to have to try this! Have been playing a heavy floodgate version and have enjoyed it as well. Skill drain has been a double edge sword some game 😅
Nice deck profile! I'm having great success with the furniture package (2 of each) since a furniture + clock rips 2 cards from the opponent's hand and 3 if you have Lady in hand as well (main decking appointer lol). Also love the recycling effects of the furniture with Big Welcome Lab, allowing for some cheeky combos.
@@drgreenthumb3012 sure, I'll add my build later. The combo is: - Use Clock Eff (send from hand to grave) - Use Stovie or Chandra eff to set Big Welcome - this triggers Clock grave eff. SS it - Activate Big Welcome: SS Lovely and add clock to hand ** If you have Lady in hand you can SS it before you activate the trap, then cain to Big Welcome to set a new card (ie. D. @@erk8520 you need to control a Labrynth monster to activate his effect. So you would have to have a Labrynth monster on the field to even start to do that combo. Great profile! Been playing a similar version to your list and have been having a lot of success post banlist. I think Labrynth is a good contender for top decks this format. Currently I'm running heavenly prison instead of solemn strike but I'll have to try strikes after watching this.
Your profiles are always interesting and informative. What is your opinion on Marincess in this format and is there any chance for an updated profile on that deck?
What are your thoughts on running the d/d/d package in the extra deck? Have you tested it at all and if so how was it compared to the current extra deck?
Duality is an odd choice. It conflicts with your main engine piece Lady. I have never seen Duality ran in Labrynth even in the OCG. Almost all winning Labrynth decks Ive seen almost always play triple Skill Drain. You may not like it, but this deck benefits so much from floodgates. Skill Drain synergies with Big Welcome to allow you to activate Lady to set a trap, bounce with the in-grave effect of Big Welcome and resolve Lady when she bounces back to hand. Also some of the rank 8 xyz, like Zombiestein, are huge 4500 beaters. You should also consider some rank 8s and the D/D/D ones. I think this deck has huge potential to top a YCS.
I agree about Duality, but I don't understand your explanation of Skill Drain synergizing with Big Welcome Labrynth. Skill Drain is active, you have Lady on the field, you activate Big Welcome, you special summon a Labrynth monster and immediately bounce one back to your hand. And then what? I don't see the synergy you are talking about.
@@ParadoX-os Sorry if I was confusing. The "synergy"is while both Skill Drain and Lady are on the field: You activate a normal trap, chain Lady Labrynth to set a new trap from deck, then you chain the in-grave effect of Big Welcome to bounce a fiend monster you control (in this case, target Lady). Chain resolves: Big Welcome bounces Lady back to your own hand, you get to set that new trap to your field because Lady is no longer on the field to be negated by Skill Drain, and then that first trap you activated will resolve. Not the best synergy, but Skill Drain shuts down so many decks, so it's worth it :)
@@SimplyXera Thanks for explaining what you meant, now I understand. Yeah, what you said could come up in niche situations. I don't know how worth it will be to execute, but it's nice to know we can do it.
Like I said in the profile... if you wish to run a lot of floodgates that's fine. I, however, do not. Floodgates sometimes can feel very bad as they do not work with your engine which is what i was focusing on in this list. Also, duality has been testing great for me so far. But it's not a must run. I give my explanation in the profile, but feel free to add floodgates over it
@@peadarmckinney3954 he's right. Lovely specifically says they cannot respond to the activation of a normal trap card, not the activation of the eff. Big welcome's grave eff activates but it is not considered activating a trap card, like on the field.

I play Phoenix wing wind blast to circumvent cooclock being a brick. Because it can add itself back if you ditch him or use his effect ditch a lovely if you have the field spell up.. get cooclock back, then you have cooclock for follow turns.
Imo, i dont think running gozen in the main deck is a good idea because we have some matchups that it is completely useless, thats why I mainly side them, also what are your opinions on lord of heavenly? Btw, great flex on the starlights
Gozen ruins kashtira and spright effectively, but you're right it's a nice side deck tech. My preference is to side in more of trap cards to punish my opponent (like booboo game and Waking the Dragon) then hoping of drawing the lord.

Also the ddd package is fine, but ever since I took out the red level 4 it doesn't come up as often as it used to.
If a card or effect can be activated when another card(s) leaves the field, it can be activated even if the card that left the field is shuffled into the Main Deck or returned to the Extra Deck.
It should still trigger lab effects since they are still on field. I believe the ruling you're thinking of involve cards like quasar. The reason why quasar wouldn't trigger to special a shooting star if it got compulsed is because monsters do not ha e effects when face down in the main/extra deck, so they can't trigger if they get shuffled.
