reishi has made my life so so so much better i totally agree with you Caitlin! As a college student im pretty much stressed 24/7 and reishi has reduced that stress ENORMOUSLY
It's so hard to cook when you are stresssed, you did so well with the dinner! Thanks for keeping it real, it helps me feel like I'm not the only one getting anxious about things I have to do. Good luck with the move :)
Can you make more breakfast chats? I know people were freaking out about the eating sounds but I find it very relaxing and I know other people do as well. If you put mukbang in the title maybe people won’t freak out about it? I love you videos and I make recipes from your blog and ebook all the time ❤️
Such a great video showing healthier alternatives to typical stress ‘snack’ foods! I am super bad for eating unhealthy when I’m stressed! Chocolate is my weakness haha 😭❤️
This was actually such a great time to post this, I’ve been so stressed lately too!! Just know you’ll get through it and you’ll feel better after relaxing and taking time to take care of yourself ❤️❤️
this video couldn't have come at a more perfect time. i've been under tons of stress and haven't been able to eat, especially since nothing sounds good. i'm gonna try a few of these. thank you lovely 💕
I tend to undereat and drink WAY too much tea on days where I’m stressed out! Yes, it’s not a good thing, but my appetite is almost nonexistent when I’m restless. However, I do incorporate a lot of antioxidant-rich foods into my diet overall, so I feel better quickly!
I am going through the exact same thing in terms of moving and trying to deal with the fact that I’ve been a food hoarder the past four years. It’s kind of a fun challenge to try and only eat what I already have. Loved this video and I do like the more casual, realistic type ones!
Aaah haha I feel you so hard on the food hoarder thing!! I'm going abroad in two months and my pantry is just STUFFED because I always get so excited about trying out new food and end up buying way more than I can reasonably eat so I'm also trying to finish things 😂
I quickly had to pause after you said 'when you're stressed you should only fuel your body with the most nourishing thing', because the way you said it reminded me of the way my aunt tried to explain to me why she kept 5 huge containers of tomatoes in her fridge (which still doesn't make any sense to me) :'D So funny! Anyways, I totally agree with you. People shouldn't use food as a coping mechanism for anything. & I'm currently also obsessed with yogurt bowls xD
Literally *perfect* timing! I'm feeling stressed with work, school, and to top it all off, my family is traveling so I have to take care of the animals on my own.
how fitting for this time 😂 this makes me want to go out and buy bagels now I used to eat everything bagel and blueberry bagels all da time tooooooo so gud
such a good video, I always used to turn to eating large amounts of junk food when stressed but it always made me feel worse in the long run! As much as we feel like doing this it's so important to not over do it. I always bake cookies when I need to step away from work - a sweet treat but without anything nasty added to them!
Last week i toasted an everything bagel, put guac on one size, a slice of spicy vegan cheese on the other side, and in the middle was spinach and cauliflower that had been roasted in hot sauce. Is was AMAZING. My sister got jelly and decided to have the same thing and so did my niece. LOVE T~Swift's new album
I agree with you as in it's totally fine to treat yourself, but junk food shouldn't be used as an emotional crutch. And your foods are such nice options for the usual "stress foods" that people tend to eat :) I also like to add some really dark chocolate or cacao nibs when I'm stressed. They help a lot!
Hi, Caitlin! Can you/have you shared your recipe for pickled red onions? I looooove them but every time I try to make my own they never come out that great lol
I just followed the first one that popped up on google and used coconut sugar instead of regular because i didnt have any :) I believe it was by Budget Bytes!
Not sure how anyone can tolerate greens powder mixed with water. I bought the Amazing Grass greens powder cause you recommended it in past videos. It actually tastes like drinking dirt and a swamp. Every sip I took I gagged. I just can't do it lol
Add 1-2 tablespoons (not heaped) into a smoothie of any kind but make sure the smoothie already has a strong flavour with berries or other fruit/veggies to hide the taste of the green powder.
Hey caitlin I'm new here and I notice that your t-shirt NAMASTE looks like Greek!! This mean "εδώ είμαστε" "Here we are"❤ So here I am with this t-shirt to welcome me in my language!
Such a good video! I'm moving next month myself and this spoke right to me regarding using up food staples...and being a secret food hoarder lol. I'm feeling your inspiration :)!
Love your videos, i'm not vegan but it does inspire me to try things especially your non-traditional thai curry because I too am a food hoarder and i am trying to get better about that. Also thanks for sharing your stress with us! and Ditto to the Taylor Swift album lol
Great video. I have done your black beans chilli recipe but I do mean to make other recipes I am a horticulturist student so have to allocate time to study. Do you have any recipes for less than 15-20 minutes?
I am stressed because I have an exam coming up on the 16th May. Hopefully I pass it so I get my HNC Horticulture qualification I need it to get work. But I try to be calm because I fail tests and exams when I don't.
when u were talking about the stresseating junkfood i was literally stuffin my face with veganbrownies, hahah. have my exam today so prepared some brownies as motivation, but honestly i really want a salad but dont have any fresh fruit available😅 gonna go shopping for veggies in a bit!
hi Caitlin, thanks for the great video once again! I was wondering if you could do a video on the safety of meal prepping? And whether you do it often or not. I heard storing food in plastics can have bad long term health effects and I'm confused about what foods can last longer in the fridge and others not. Are there are rules that you follow when reheating foods too? Keep it up girl! Love from Melbourne
himouto umaru-chan ive been mealprepping for about a year now (college student lol) and I try to only make food for about 3-4 days and anything longer I keep frozen! I just heat up things in the microwave and I’m alive and thriving so I guess it’s ok ahah :))
Do you have the dessert right after the meal or it's like a snack? I've got used to eating something sweet right after I finish lunch and now I want to lose this habit...
I love it! Everything looks amazing and delicious! I want to try your food so bad 😭👍🏻✨ It’s totally normal to be stressed at times, I have this bad habit to always think about the future (like how things are going to be in two weeks for example) and it stresses me so much like crazy so I am really working on myself to change 😁 don’t worry Cait! We all have our ups and down but the most important is to accept what is happening in your life with a big smile and an open mind 😃😊 Much love Cait! 🧡 you’re doing an amazing job! ❤️🧡
I could not agree more i unfortunately did way to much stess eating / eat when you feel bad in my past gladly that changed most of the time since i changed my nutrition in general as well now i can see me getting back to normal weight in some years were i was not since i was a teenager not knowing the truth about the whole plant foods
I`m using Reishi -extract at the moment every day, and I feel so relaxed and I sleep sooooo good and I have such a weird dreams :D I love reishi, because it`s local and it work`s so well
This video was great, this curry thing looks delicious! I didn't one like this and it's so comforting when I'm stressed or tired. I really try to don't eat only chocolate when I'm feeling stressed because otherwise I feel guilty afterward... anyway! bye :)
I totally use food as a coping mechanism .. its a problem. I even stopped being vegan because I was craving so much junk and my family is not vegan. But I’m back on track now and trying to eat healthier comfort food on those days
Even though I’m not vegan, I love this kind of videos
Gar lic it’s Time to DO IT
Awesome!
Gar lic SAME!! I thought I was the only one lol
Hahahaha is just that I find them very relaxing
reishi has made my life so so so much better i totally agree with you Caitlin! As a college student im pretty much stressed 24/7 and reishi has reduced that stress ENORMOUSLY
You are so calm while going through changes. Inspirational! Thank you
Aw, thank you! I may appear calm on the outside, but that's not always the case lol
It's so hard to cook when you are stresssed, you did so well with the dinner!
Thanks for keeping it real, it helps me feel like I'm not the only one getting anxious about things I have to do.
Good luck with the move :)
Thank you! Cooking helps me to relax and get my mind off of things too
Can you make more breakfast chats? I know people were freaking out about the eating sounds but I find it very relaxing and I know other people do as well. If you put mukbang in the title maybe people won’t freak out about it?
I love you videos and I make recipes from your blog and ebook all the time ❤️
Vered Pinhas Yes please make more!
I am Jewish and bagels r my comfort food too. Same with Tofutti cream cheese, red onion, cucumber, tomato, salt and pepper.
Such a great video showing healthier alternatives to typical stress ‘snack’ foods! I am super bad for eating unhealthy when I’m stressed! Chocolate is my weakness haha 😭❤️
Christina Marie chocolate is mine too!!
I probably have some form of Chocolate at least once a day 😂 on this day it was Cacao Nibs!
Chips are my go too stress food :i ...i will finish the entire bag....barf..
Christina Marie SAME
Yes!!! Chocolate! Me to sister!
Thanks for being real with us Caitlin ❤️
This was actually such a great time to post this, I’ve been so stressed lately too!! Just know you’ll get through it and you’ll feel better after relaxing and taking time to take care of yourself ❤️❤️
Yes! You too! ❤️
Caitlin Shoemaker thank you☺️❤️
Please make these videos all the time bc I find it harder to make healthy choices when I'm stressed and this vid had soooo many good tips
this video couldn't have come at a more perfect time. i've been under tons of stress and haven't been able to eat, especially since nothing sounds good. i'm gonna try a few of these. thank you lovely 💕
Hope things get better for you soon :)
Stay strong! You should take a day just for you
I tend to undereat and drink WAY too much tea on days where I’m stressed out! Yes, it’s not a good thing, but my appetite is almost nonexistent when I’m restless. However, I do incorporate a lot of antioxidant-rich foods into my diet overall, so I feel better quickly!
We're behind you girl. It's always so stressful when you move home or when you're about to move, feels like "limbo."
I love the makeup-free face. :) Makes the video more.. real.
Thank you for showing your "not so perfect" side even though you're still fab. love seeing this side, and appreciate the advice!
Your videos seriously will never get old. Love this style of what I eat in a day!
Your channel is really growing. I've been around for a while now. I love seeing your success
I am going through the exact same thing in terms of moving and trying to deal with the fact that I’ve been a food hoarder the past four years. It’s kind of a fun challenge to try and only eat what I already have. Loved this video and I do like the more casual, realistic type ones!

love the causal and chatty what I eat in a day style... keep them coming! :)
I quickly had to pause after you said 'when you're stressed you should only fuel your body with the most nourishing thing', because the way you said it reminded me of the way my aunt tried to explain to me why she kept 5 huge containers of tomatoes in her fridge (which still doesn't make any sense to me) :'D So funny!

haha that's so funny! Everyone has their quirks I suppose!
haha absolutely! :D
people should use food as a coping mechanism for hunger (sorry, bad joke)
Man oh man, I love your blogs....you’re the perfect mix of inspired and practical....with a purpose. Thanks for your videos.
I love these more casual, chatty what I eat in a day videos! Please make more of them😊
Literally *perfect* timing! I'm feeling stressed with work, school, and to top it all off, my family is traveling so I have to take care of the animals on my own.
That tea looks beautiful! Also love this video idea; emotional eating is a real problem for so many people.
how fitting for this time 😂 this makes me want to go out and buy bagels now I used to eat everything bagel and blueberry bagels all da time tooooooo so gud
haha yes! Morning Rounds count too though, right?! ;)
Looks like what I eat when I'm not stressed. 🤣🤣🤣
you're the only vloggy vegany channel i care about
I'm happy I'm not the only one who occasionally does the wrong burner! 😌
Alison Monroe haha one time i started a fire by doing that🤯
it happens more often than I would like to admit 😅
I tried the reishi mushroom elixir and I slept so good! The only downside was the taste!! Loved the vid
Caitlin you’re a blessing for making this video
such a good video, I always used to turn to eating large amounts of junk food when stressed but it always made me feel worse in the long run! As much as we feel like doing this it's so important to not over do it. I always bake cookies when I need to step away from work - a sweet treat but without anything nasty added to them!
I absolutely love how real you are in your videos ♥️
I love these recipes! It's hard sometimes to eat healthy when stressed but I love these healthy ideas...that will actually relieve stress!! :D
Last week i toasted an everything bagel, put guac on one size, a slice of spicy vegan cheese on the other side, and in the middle was spinach and cauliflower that had been roasted in hot sauce. Is was AMAZING. My sister got jelly and decided to have the same thing and so did my niece.

Love the casual what I eat in a day videos! Thank you!
That tea looked amazing 👌🏼💗
I've been obsessed! It's fruity and yummy :)
You do a video on how you store your leftovers or keep them from going bad and how to store specific produce!
Please make a blog post for that dinner!! It looked AMAZING!! ❤️
I agree with you as in it's totally fine to treat yourself, but junk food shouldn't be used as an emotional crutch.
And your foods are such nice options for the usual "stress foods" that people tend to eat :) I also like to add some really dark chocolate or cacao nibs when I'm stressed. They help a lot!
yesss! Chocolate for the win
That has been my struggle throughout my life. I have always ate a lot of unhealthy food when I was in a bad mood. Thankfully I'm beating it rn
you always make the best quality videos!! keep it up girl!
I'm a food hoarder too! And everything bagels + cream cheese + orange juice is my fave 😁
love your recipes. Everyone are stressed sometimes 😊 we are with you.
your food always looks pretty, no matter what ugh
The curry looks so delicious!! 😰😍 I want make a jackfruit, sweet potato, spinach curry in the following days😂 Very excited 😌
i love how real you are! who has time to make breakfast look pretty haha
Not sure how anyone can tolerate greens powder mixed with water. I bought the Amazing Grass greens powder cause you recommended it in past videos. It actually tastes like drinking dirt and a swamp. Every sip I took I gagged. I just can't do it lol
Juliya Kruglaka I recommend drinking it with small glass of juice, that’s the only way I could get it down😂
Taylor Torrez I'll have to try that. Do you put a whole scoop in? I did that with the water and it was a NIGHTMARE to get down.
definitely mix with fruit. or yogurt. or just throw it in a smoothie or oatmeal? Either way definitely would not just drink it straight with water
Add 1-2 tablespoons (not heaped) into a smoothie of any kind but make sure the smoothie already has a strong flavour with berries or other fruit/veggies to hide the taste of the green powder.
Or you can do it in shot form.
I hope you post that cookie recipe soon 😊😋

Awesome job just using up what you have in the house to make a recipe! Very impressive!
Nice video! Great ideias! I'm definitely gonna try the tea!
I have to try reishi!
Will you be posting the recipe for the granola bars soon? They look amazing, and I would like to try making them as well!
ooooo. curious about those granola bars. I haven't been eating any added sugar, or oil, limited salt. So SOS, lol or SO, snacks are hard to find.
Great video. I have done your black beans chilli recipe but I do mean to make other recipes I am a horticulturist student so have to allocate time to study. Do you have any recipes for less than 15-20 minutes?
Love it😍😍
I'm a horrible food hoarder and I do not understand why...like my freezer and pantry are ridiculous 😳I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in this!
I am stressed because I have an exam coming up on the 16th May. Hopefully I pass it so I get my HNC Horticulture qualification I need it to get work. But I try to be calm because I fail tests and exams when I don't.
good luck on your exam!!!

you look amazing!! 😍😍
That all looks so good! I love everything bagels too!!
Do you have the dessert right after the meal or it's like a snack? I've got used to eating something sweet right after I finish lunch and now I want to lose this habit...
Just curious- Why are you moving?

Hi @CaitilinShoemaker where did you get your necklace? It's so pretty. Does it have a V for vegan on it?
How does that four sigmatic tea taste?
Where is that bowl you put the yogurt in from???
I was wondering the same thing!!!
This video was great, this curry thing looks delicious! I didn't one like this and it's so comforting when I'm stressed or tired. I really try to don't eat only chocolate when I'm feeling stressed because otherwise I feel guilty afterward... anyway! bye :)
Where are you moving to? Love this video!
