2010 malibu here... also a chevu product. Thanks for this inisight. We are having an intermittent issue identical to this. Runs fine then drops to limo mode randomly as well and this makes perfect sense that there is a bad connection. Probably not the relay.
Thank you for the video I bought a truck that has that code P1682 and in my case it was missing the fuse so after the fuse was installed problem solved
I have chevy traverse 2014 and i have same code P1682, Will i use the same Method or any other advise? Please reply as this code is giving so much headach.
In case u are still having issues. Usually the fuse box has all the fuses labeled on the lid if u open it and look. Or look up a fuse box diagram for your vehicle. It is usually the fuse for your ignition
My fuse labels are a little different so it’s not totally obvious but unfortunately it won’t start at all right now. We did finally start narrowing it down to a power supply issue on a particular relay.
@@dazariogibson7470 that's good. Remove connector from all components even oil level sensor then replace fuse and try to crank engine connect back connector one by one then see which component is short. No need to remove connectors from cam or crank sensor
What i share is non common problem every one knows ignition switch is under steering column. This fuse was causing that problem so i share it hope you understand!
I know its not car its truck so be with me main purpose is to let you guys know what is fault.

Great video. Thanks a lot.
So how did you fix ? Did you replace with new fuse ? Did you clean I ? Or replace the whole fuse box?
I replace new fuse but before installing i twist fuse legs little bit so they connect properly with fuse box
I have chevy traverse 2014 and i have same code P1682,
Will i use the same
Method or any other advise?
Please reply as this code is giving so much headach.
Check found the same name fuse and check for loose legs on it. Otherwise, it could be wiring or main connector under the fuse box
How did you figure out which fuse it was?
Its my normal procedure to check fuses and move them lightly to check if connection is loose or not

What’s the best solution?. To replace the entire fuse box or clean up connection?.
Better to replace the fuse box.
Or you can remove fuse box then locate wires and install external fuse holder and fuse
What does that fuse control. I changed it it worked for a 2 weeks and now it keeps popping the fuse when I change it
How much time it last now few minutes or pop right away?
@@CarFaults it blew right away

It helped but fuse burned out. Changed it again and got me home any help on what else I can do
Maybe something is short which keep burning fuse

Didn't work what it did was drive the problem to crazy. It's the ignition switch under the steering column.
