I loved how he attracted the listener by putting on the cape and stuff. I also liked how he kept on saying "you could be a hero too". He brought us into it.

How it's helpful.
Very good Platform Delivery Content (PDC). You kept eye content with your audience, very good examples including the heros today, and you had good visual aid for your audience to know that it doesn't matter if any one has a cape or a symbol because thier real reason is that they're a hero is to help others and make lives easier. I did some imitative at my work cleaning up their work bench (''A clean shop is a safe shop'') but they complained to me about it and didn't appreciated it. Now I haven't done anymore ever since. But I do know that doing and imitative makes you feel good.
Amazing speech. University of the People Bussiness Administration class brought me here.
"The result could be that we start a chain reaction that spreads the spark of heroism." One of my fav lines from this speech.
I found out that audio excerpts from this speech video have been featured and used in other youtube videos. That's cool! If there are more, I'd love to see them.

I love this. I'm going to school to be an animator because I want to spread happiness to the world through art because it's always been there for me. Over the past year, in fact, I've grown strong feelings for the following thought..."as an artist, it's our job to share our creations with the world, even if it could make just one person happy." I feel so strongly about it, I cry when I write about it...I'm a little emotional. I sell my art as "affordable, personalized happiness" because growing up I couldn't have all the stuff that inspired me. Especially in today's economy, I want everyone to be able to afford a little stuffed animal of their favorite cartoon character, or a caricature of their grand kids, or something.
Tonight I have spent almost an hour looking through persuasive student speeches because my assignment in communications (speech) class is to critique a persuasive speech. Being a hero. That's such an epic persuasive speech...because it's so true! I'm definitely critiquing this speech. What I'll probably talk about is...the pace of the speaking was perfect, there was an example to support the speech, it was a good time length, there was an obvious beginning, body, and closing, there was a clear thesis statement, etc. The only suggestions I have for it aren't even for the speech itself. The tapping on the podium was causing a distracting sound through the mic. That's actually all I can see right now.

That was beautifully done! I'm in speech class and currently initiating persuasive speaking and looking for topics and ideas. Obviously, I don't want to plagiarize mainly because internally, I want it to feel like it comes from within me. And it is awesome that you found a topic that can be applied to variety of audiences. I love the use of your visual aid, and I mean "USE", it was captivating and nicely organized, very easy to remember your speech too. Any ideas on choosing a topic? :)

What a great speech. Geez. I could never have made a speech this great in my class. I thought I had an interesting topic, but this 12 year old speech is STILL way better. I thought that it was very funny from the beginning when he started, he felt that he was missing something. He went to his bag to pull out his cape his wife made and a symbol.
He used a topic that he could relate to as being a super hero because he loved superman as a child. He gave credible evidence of what hero means and used his hands a whole lot.
I agree that hero's comes in all shapes and sizes from youths, teachers, parents and doctors. Anyone can be a hero, even you.
I would like to say that he did well giving his presentation, spoke clearly, he connected with his audience and he stayed on his topic. I suggest that you use hand a little less. It was kind of distracted, he did not practice his speech because he read off notes constantly.

Yeah, I didn't notice the banging until I saw the video. Turns out they put the mic in the metal podium. It annoyed me too.
But you're right it taught me to step away from the thing, and forced me to present more than just reading the sheets.
