How To Create a GIF (Using SketchWow 1.6.2)

Want to know how to create a GIF using SketchWow? Then you'll love this! We just released version 1.6.2 that gives you even more ways to make GIF animations.
Apparently there is some controversy around this...
Is GIF pronounced like "Jif" peanut butter?
Or is GIF pronounced with a G sound like "Gopher"?
I'm sticking with the "Jif" pronunciation based on my research.
Hope I'm right...

I started saying "J"if when a friend pointed it out to me long ago. But after years of people looking at me funny and almost everyone else saying "G"if, I gave in and now call them "G"ifs.
It makes more sense that it would use the same G like in the word "Graphic" (as opposed to jraphic) anyway, even though it wasn't the intention of the inventor from what I learned.
Now let's talk about "niche" :D

What does the animated GIF export option do if one needs to go to a separate website with PNGs to create an animated GIF? Intuitively, I would have expected this option to generate an animated GIF within the application

You can create and export single page animations (animated GIFs) in SketchWow. If you want to create a stop-motion, multi-page (multi-slide) animated GIF, you can use the tactic shown in the video. Hope this helps.
