The crackhead tryna calm everyone down and then just becoming more of the problem is so accurate
Is it though? Or you’re just making shit up? Bet you’ve never been to a Waffle House
It’s really not.
Which one was the crackhead 😂 so many of them were wildin
No shirt, tats and cornrows!
@@TiaraG413 right? I’m tryna figure out who wasn’t a crackhead at this point 😂
Heidi’s exasperated “Oh my God whose DOG is this??” followed by Ego angrily demanding “Oh so the dog can’t be on the counter?” like it’s the most unreasonable rule ever was bloody hilarious 😂
Yessss and then her dancing on the counter and then falling off 😂😂😂
I lost it at this part 😆😆😆
The accuracy 😂😂😂
We just opened a bistro bar in our Mathis Brothers store couple months ago and within a week had our first bar fight... it started with a lady putting her dog on the bar (im not even joking) and by the end of the argument a drink was thrown at said lady with dog followed by yelling across the store over furniture as she ran out with her dog. All the sales people just watched as it all went down xD
Her falling off was so funny
I love the fact that the girl grew up with a dysfunctional but still loving and supportive father who encouraged her to go to college in NYC lol
Lol😂
I have never seen so much "America" in a skit 😂 😂 😂
If I were president I'd play this at State of the Union, instead of a speech.
Barbs?
Hi Barby!
what's that even mean? "Amercia"...you're an unoriginal hack
@@virginiathornton hahahahahaha!!! Same here...
i love how they squeezed every viral waffle house fight into a 3min skit😂

@@aus2908 lol yea i thought the skinny one was her at 1st
This is the best one yet!!!!! 😂
This skit was freaking hilarious!
This skit was genius! 😂
This isn't a skit, this is an actual reenactment of a Tuesday night at a Waffle House.
True statement
Except for the ethnicity of the people trashing the place
Yup!
Real life is always funnier.
Yep airline highway in Louisiana
The kid grabbing the cops gun and running into the kitchen was hysterical.
Mikey Day shows his brilliance again.
Great skit. Well done.
I thought it was an old lady…
Good eye! You may be right. I can't tell now....

There is so much going on, it's easy to miss the killer soundtrack...
Love the cook getting clocked in the head with a skillet and just getting upset by it.
Yeah you see the cook saying:OH H$&@ NAW!
As a former waffle house employee , this skit is based on true events . 😂 literally told a lady her toddler could not sit on the bar/counter and she climbed up just like that and said "now I AM on the counter! What about it bitch?!"
I'm shocked she didn't change the diaper up there
😂
😂
Haha…
@@DMC-rs3up She might as well have, which is why babies can't sit on the counter.
I was a waitress at Waffle House while going to college. This is the best thing I have ever seen. It's pretty accurate for a Friday night.
Lol I love Waffle House
My roommate in college worked at waffle house. I was working in testing center at my college and I would ask her why she won't come and work with me since they hired student and it was an easy gig. She was like " nah man! Waffle house is fun as hell"
@Skyfall Deadpool yup and people don't believe me when I tell them that you can easily make 300 dollars in tips working Friday and Saturday night. The 3rd shift is 10 hours, you get the dinner rush, the bar rush, and part of the breakfast rush. It is super busy on Friday and Saturday night. People leave you big tips for dealing with them while they were drunk.
They don't have a Waffle House where I live and I've heard too many things like this happen, and I'm really trying to believe that this isn't just a skit. You seriously telling me this kind of craziness happens?!
@@claytonzaugg no lie. I once went to a Waffle house where all the employees were high as a kite. Took them about 40 mins to make my order. I didnt leave cause it was a show. I couldnt believe what i was seeing, It was surreal. Waffle House has good food and most of the time service is ok. But if visit Waffle house a few time you will....see things
The empty wheelchair and the reaction of the cast member sitting at the table killed me 😂
Dude same. That cracked me up the first time I saw the empty wheelchair rolling
“OH MY GOD WHO’S DOG IS THIS?!” Is so fckng funny.
I watched this 3 times:
1. To hear the conversation
2. To watch the fight
3. For the overall comedic aspect 🤣🤣🤣
It kept getting funnier each time
I tried and i couldn't do it😂😂😂😂😂

I heard the conversation more the. The background fight
I get it!
Oh so the dog can't be on the counter?? 😂😂
I LOVE when SNL does documentaries !
Ahahaha! Nice!
BAHAHA
🙏
Hilariously accurate 😂
"You ready to go,baby girl" 😂😂
As Jim Gaffigan pointed out, if you've never been to a Waffle House just imagine a gas station bathroom that serves waffles.
That joke’s one of my favorites
I can’t get over how perfect Heidi’s “OH my god who’s dog is this?!”
But what happened to the dog? If it belongs to the dad, why isn't it going home with them? I've watched this skit too many times...
@@rfresa The dog was on its lunch break, he was working a double. He's a good boy who knows how to get home.
I lost it when she said that. My son came in the room to see what was so funny.
Heidi is awesome ❤❤
I had flashbacks to the time that I was on a bus going back home from the beach. Some methhead brought his dog on the bus and it became a thirty-minute standoff between him, the bus driver, and eventually the police. LOL
The empty wheelchair hitting the wall is a really nice touch. Also Mikey Day’s cast is perfect.
That wheelchair had me done for!!! 😂😂
The nipple rings and the cornrows had me done already 💀
@@anxiousscribe 😂😂😂😂
That was the best scene of the skit!
Yes, the arm cast sealed the deal. Spot on.
1:17 OH SO THE DOG CANT BE ON THE COUNTER!??
The 'Dukes of Hazzard' back stamp, was just the ultimate finishing touch.
The skit was funny as is, but the reveal that Mikey Day was the dad elevated it to another level 😂😂😂
I genuinely did not see that one coming 😂
im pretty sure he's the new boyfriend
And she like is beyond accepting the kind of Brad he is lol

Props to Jenna and Marcelo for staying in character. I was dying 😂 watching this 🤣🤣
They used a green screen.
@@jackheris687 That definitely makes it easier to avoid breaking, at least until the point where Mikey Day crawled up just below camera at the end. Still, Jenna and Marcelo deserve praise for their performance. If you took out the Waffle House footage and Mikey Day's appearance at the end, you'd never know this wasn't an actual drama. They committed to those characters.
I watched this with earbuds while waiting in a doctor's crowded office and the body flip at 0:45 made me involuntary laugh but I tried to stifle it and the sound that came out can only be described as "hysterically dying chipmunk." Lol
It’s been a while since an SNL sketch has had me crying with laughter. Whoever came up with this one deserves a huge pay raise

Another classic from actor, director, writer, polymath George Santos.
The wheelchair person starting something and then the chair rolls away empty 🤣🤣

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I applaud the research team. They really went all out to create a truly authentic Waffle House experience on an average day of the week.
I mean that's like a slow Tuesday night experience. On the weekends it gets crazy!
At 2:28 is where I started laughing harder than before because of the guy coming out with the fire 🤣
Jenna Ortega smashed this skit so hard I was actually invested in their story despite hell breaking loose behind them 😂
Right!!!
Same!!! I'm like shhhh background people I can't hear 😂😂😂
She literally had nothing to do with the funny part of the sketch... all she did was like a practice scene for actors. The SNL cast worked around her lack of any comedic presence brilliantly to make a kickass amazingly hilarious sketch
@@BooBuKittyPhukyou completely missed the point of the original comment
@@gabehardy-fowler8126 no i got it but there was no way she could smash the _sketch_ (not skit) so hard because the writing and acting was high school melodrama at its blandest... the only way she could've done well was if she did have a funny part, but they got this sketch to be hilarious despite her not being good at funny at all throughout the entire show. The OP was giving her way to much credit for reading boring ass lines mildly well, while people are being funny af behind her. Its a long standing traditional snl workaround when they get a sucky host.
How Jenna kept a straight face while ignoring all the chaos behind her is a mystery no one will ever solve. God she killed this skit😂

Jenna and Marcello deserve an Emmy for being so sincere and holding a straight face in the middle of all that. The writer deserves an Emmy for "Ready to go, Baby Girl?". That was totally unexpected and hilarious.
I think most of the Waffle House shenanigans were on a green screen.
that was fantastic peripety to have Mikey Day emerge from the squabble to reveal himself as a key role in Jenna's life

Damn, me and my girlfriend just split up because she's going into a prestigious college and I can't follow her. Our conversation went almost exactly like this. I came here for laughs so this was a lil too real for me lol
Freebird gotta fly, son
This was hilarious. Ego is one of the main reasons I started watching SNL again, she adds so much to the skits she’s in. “Oh so the dog can’t be on the counter?” And it cutting to her dancing on it and then falling off unceremoniously made me cackle. 😂
It's the minute detail... effortlessly hilarious!
She made this sketch 10× funnier with her few seconds on screen
plus she’s a writer so no wonder why everything she’s in is good
She's so great. Any time I see her on Comedy Bang Bang I know I'm in for a funny episode.
Probably one of the best SNL skits in a very long time. The only thing missing was the chair thrown at the Waffle House waitress.
It's mentioned in the background but we don't see it
Hmm...could've sworn I saw a chair flying, but not gonna search through it to confirm.
That’s why they don’t have many chairs in the Waffle House. Less to throw.
...and the waitress catching the chair with one hand because she's tough like that lol
That waitress was wiping chairs off her face like napkins
I don't know how I missed this. It's legitimately an SNL masterpiece.
Came here after the subway skit -- I was actually more invested in what was going on inside rather than outside. 😂 Pure choas
Genuinely one of the funniest sketches SNL have done so far this year if not in the last few years. The whole team have really have upped their game in terms of acting, writing and production values.

Way to stick the landing with Mikey Day as Jenna's dad!
Oh I thought that was supposed to be her new boyfriend... I was way off.
@Double Guitars The lines were, "Do you need a ride home?" "No, my dad drove me." _crash_ "You ready to go, baby girl?" Her saying my dad drove me was to indicate he was about to enter. When she said that, I knew it was going to be the man with nipple rings 🤣.
@@PlayaP69 ah I missed that completely, I was still concentrating on the background.
Him having a cast on his arm was perfect!
The lady casually getting body slammed then sitting for waffles is crazy😂
That's the thing about the Huddle House is you don't have to get body slammed to get free waffles.
Keenan coming out with a lit torch to scare away everybody was the kind of totally random, out of nowhere, WTF comedy I love!
Kenan is the new Phil Hartman. The “glue” in every sketch.
Phil Hartman was an incredibly diverse, serious talent whose range was talked about by acting coaches, producers and fans of nuance-- a rare actor who could handle dramatic heavy material, nail impressions, and slay at comedic portrayals.
Keenan is a guy who reads/shouts lines that are given to him by talented writers. He doesn't act and plays the same style in every one of his countless skits-- just a guy snapping out lines and making goofy eyes, every time. No more, no less.
He does have good timing. Every cast member ever on SNL has good timing, tbh. But his talent basically starts and ends there. He speaks every word trying not to laugh, breaking in many scenes, tho I can't blame him-- some of the writing is truly hilarious.
Keenan is not nor has he ever been the "glue" holding it together. He's the weak link among actors who turn in sometimes Oscar-worthy performances (Hader, Cecily, Aidy, Wiig, Armeston) and other contenders with serious comic talent (Forte, Punky, Sudekis). He's the guy who has the job despite not being in the same league as those he works with, and the actual actors carry the scenes while everyone laughs and fawns over him because it's popular to do so with Millenials and Gen Z'ers.
Anyone can do what he does-- try it yourself. Stand in front of a mirror snd bark out his lines with buggy eyes and barely contained laughter. You'll be able to do that just as good as him. You may like him, whuch is cool, but he's not holding any scene or cast together.
I have to add my applause to the comments here. Tears are streaming down my face - best SNL skit in years, right up there with the Kenan Thompson/Tom Hanks Jeopardy sketch.
Mikey Day shirtless and with the plaster cast arm cracked me up...
And getting tased 😂
Plaster arm? Could it be…Tishie?
How about the pierced nipples 😂😂😂
And the awesome Dukes of Hazzard tattoo!
So, we're just going to ignore the cornrows?😂
Love how everyone stopped whatever fight they were doing when the dad hit that guy with a pan, and it did nothing but make him angrier.
The ultimate vibe check
You never, ever mess with the cook at the Waffle House. Dude just got out of the pen and is not up to your crazy

It's the end of the world when the cook gets pissed off.
"Big mistake!" "Yep."
The empty wheelchair hitting the wall makes this sketch.
This performance alone deserves an Emmy.
1:44 The empty wheelchair crashing into the table was a nice touch.
This is the best. The background actors where all on point, while Jenna and Marcello were sincere enough to make your heart hurt a little. Trapped between crying and laughing, both from humor and sentimentality. Waffle house is an American icon, an tbh the food hits.

"Free bird gotta fly, son" - Words to live by.
Words he literally lived by

This is poetic. The turmoil inside the waffle house represents the feelings they have inside. The torch was once a symbol of their fiery love and burning passion for each other. However, their fire was not eternal as it was quickly extinguished. The dad breaking out of the store through the glass is a symbol of the painful, yet liberating decision of finally leaving the state, to pursue her dream. I am so moved.

The fact that Marcello and Jenna kept a straight face and didn't bat one eye inside the restaurant....👏👏👏👏👏👏
Its easy when its added in post
For those that couldn't tell, those two were standing in front of a green screen. The waffle house and the two people talking were shot separately.
@@NendoNow but then how did they have Mikey's character break through the window?
@@rfresa So the actual set is real, as is the windows. But behind the windows is the green or blue screen. You can see the weird outline over the characters. At 2:11 look at the varsity jacket shoulder and how it flickers. You can actually see it flicker around every part of him that's in front of the window, but not around the real parts of the set like his lower body. For Mikey getting thrown out the window, just throw him out like normal and time the background to match with the throw since it's recorded separately. It's way easier to film both scenes separate and just put them together then to film it all at once since there is so much chaos in the background.
@@rfresaretty sure them throwing him out of the window was part of the green screen footage filming, then they just had him staged in the correct spot where the discussion filming was happening and had him stand up at the right time. Final walk off was filmed on the same set as the green screen footage.
Legitimately the funniest Skit SNL has produced in decades
As usual Kenan steals the show in an appearance of only a few seconds.
As someone from Kentucky who has experienced my fair share of late night Waffle House runs, this is about as accurate as a skit can get.
If you are from Kentucky, why would you overgeneralize and help perpetuate a disparaging stereotype that is actually a very small minority of people? 😒
Most of the rural populations have some of the most kindest, genuine, caring, friendly, hardworking, and give-you-the-shirt-off-their-backs people you will ever meet.
Every state in the U.S. has its share of lower class...nor just Kentucky.
@@VintageRose75 lol. Why do you assume they are lower class? I come from a very small town in upstate, earn an upper middle class salary and I've been tased twice for the same drunk incident. Sure folks will give you their shirt of their back but this is a pretty accurate sketch in my opinion.
