    Love this video man! I just received the most bogus grades on my 90’s basketball and football submissions with PSA and I’m cracking and sending almost all of them to SGC…this is absurd and should never happen when paying for a “professional” service. Thanks for addressing this problem.

    I just got back into cards a month ago and just sent my first batch of cards ever to be graded to SGC and people talk about the value of PSA but I think SGC will be the top dog in the future because of their accuracy and take over the value of PSA

    100 % correct.

    Enjoyed the video. I had a similar issue. I sent 2 valuable cards (Lew Alcindor rookie, 1969 Nolan Ryan). PSA said they were both altered. I then sent to SGC and they graded both. SGC comes back much quicker vs. PSA. I'm new to getting cards graded as well. Thanks!

    Also I got an authentic from SGC on one of 2 identical cards that had no reason to get that grade. I cracked it and received the 10 I expected.

    Just because you get the result you want, doesn't mean it's more accurate

    Not my experience. I have done over 100 vintage sgc to psa crossovers and sgc misses a lot of issues such as back creases. I did two videos on it. SGCs holder, the insert specifically, damaged my cards by being poorly cut.

    I do clearly see that SGC is substantially better than PSA. My dissatisfaction with PSA on grading, turnaround times, and customer service has made me decide to be permanently done with them and I am not going back. Exclusively SGC for me from now on.

    I would just send my ultra modern to PSA just for the resale value but darn sometimes it feels like the graders at PSA just want to go home early and slaps the min size requirement sticker and calls it a day! That’s pretty crappy of them especially since they are supposed to be the “leader” in grading, how can they get away with that like you said we can all measure the cards and see it’s the right size! 🤦‍♂️

    I saw another video today- same thing- min size psa, graded sgc. What is PSA doing?

      I wish I could guess. Most of the time, the cards measure perfectly.

    Is PSA just putting minimum size just to push them through to try and catch up, but still make money?

    • @bourbonbeltcards6392
      @bourbonbeltcards6392  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nah, I just think some graders are incompetent. The backlog is cleared, and they don't charge for minimum size req.

    All I can write is Amen. PSA waiting months for return. Disappointment on return. SGC, 2 weeks for a return, pleased, fair and accurate.

    I recently watched a psa return video. the gentleman pointed out some interesting grading flaws. He got a psa 10 to his Suprise. Stated he knew there were scratch marks on the card. Was hoping for an 8. Three other 10's were off center. My best guess is that psa has gotten too big. Graders need more training ? Off center and scratches no way 10.

      Crazy! I’ve personally never gotten a higher grade than I estimated, but that’s the same type of inconsistency I’m talking about

    I agree SGC blows Please Submit Again Away. I had 7 cards 3 minimum sized & 4 cards all graded 1 to 2.5 higher on the other cards. I believe PSA Has other interest than giving competitors to there Buddy Dealers any good grades I’m done with this unethical company. People WTF UP. SGC is the most honest and better grader & Company

  • @DerethAC
    @DerethAC 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    There is no difference in accuracy if PSA or any other company determines that something does not meet their minimum size requirement because they haven't graded anything. They have their criteria for minimum size tolerance and they just didn't grade it.

    • @bourbonbeltcards6392
      @bourbonbeltcards6392  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agree 100%! It’s the numeric grade differences that are questionable

    • @DerethAC
      @DerethAC 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bourbonbeltcards6392 I also think that this sort of thing happens on a card-by-card basis. I have had cards that I've cracked out of SGC holders that were undergraded and got higher grades with PSA, and I've also had some that I've cracked and PSA gives a lower grade than SGC does. A recent example went from an SGC8 to a PSA6, and as much as I hate that I'm taking an L on it, I can see some corner damage on it that tells me that PSA is correct.

    I'm new to graded cards in 2023. I've stayed minimally in the loop as a collector. I probably now own 80 graded vintage cards. More than half PSA. Of all that I've heard and seen with my own eyes, I have a deeper appreciation to the SGC. They make the card look much better and the consistency seems to be better. Nice bunch of cards you have. They look awesome in a tux and certainly a graded card known to have existed in your own pc should not come back min. size as so often do with PSA.

    Your Jeter/Arod is trimmed, I can see that without a measuring device to it, that's why its not minsizerq, SGC doesn't care they want the money and market share, send it to TAG if you dare, see how it fairs...there is no good subjective grading company, not sure Tag is any better, but SGC is no better or worse than PSA, PSA has some real competition with AI grading now, they can only do so much. Lots o trimming going on around tthere....

    Accuracy in grading does not equate to roi. Most and I mean a large majority cares more about roi than accuracy. The hobby has spoken. I used them and I will not use them because of my returns. Options are good but roi will rule.

    • @bourbonbeltcards6392
      @bourbonbeltcards6392  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment. Would you rather have the All Defensive card in a PSA 5 or an SGC 9? I think both accuracy and ROI would favor the SGC 9 there. PSA's inconsistencies are just baffling sometimes, and they've opened the door for SGC to secure their spot.

      Roi = well if you really Carre about roi don't forget adding in upcharges and your time cost analysis into the mix then and you'll see its closer then you beleive
