Electrical Inspectors like wiring neatly done and easy to see.
And this to me is very neatly done good job Kevin yall sure working toward a better tomorrow for you.
It passed the inspection thanks Jim.
Your life is about to get WAY easier. Excellent job on that 200 amp service.
Thank you Daryl.
I’m sure that was a hard job! Thank you for sharing!
For sure just slow at it thanks Paul.
And most people think that if you want electricity, you just flip a switch. Thanks for sharing the process. The Rooster is really shaping up. Be well my friends.
I wish it was that easy thanks Hatch.
Really nice work thanks for sharing!!
Thank you Jerry.
Looking more and more like home!!
One day I hope thanks William.
Clever stuff kevin tidy wire work too
Thank you Edward.
We usually install all the service equipment except the meter/disconnect on the pole and after the pole is set there is no climbing needed.
Good idea thanks for the comment.
What size wire did you use? #2 for the load?
You lucked out having that pole on site that you can use. Up here they won't bring in the wire without a green, pressure treated pole hydro supplies and installs. We haven't used creosote for the last 10 years or so' Most now are doing underground as it works out to be just about the same cost. Hmm, No washer on the bolt head ? There is no part of this doesn't make my back hurt. One thing about being one legged all I can do now is give directions, LOL. This is certainly not your first dance doing this my friend. A nicely done, good lookin job my friend. Having power on site now is a big deal for sure.
Dean, yes it is a lot of work but it is done and already passed inspection so just waiting for the power co to hook us up.
@@Robinson-Homestead And the year is young my friend. Lots to do now.
Bad ass last name
That's right thanks Robinson my friend.
Maybe not a big deal and I bet it varies for each utility/power company. But your insulator mounting to me seems kinda backwards. Bolt through the bracket/wire side and the washer/nut on the back side. Not trying to be a troublesome comment just hoping that it could help you in the future. Way easier to tighten down when the nut isn’t obstructed.
Thanks for the input just did another one and it passed the inspection to different inspector though th-cam.com/video/hpMoSRL2qG4/w-d-xo.html
That's the way I prefer I remove the porcelain piece and use an impact and a wrench to tighten it down.
How would I add 100 amp service to my garage? The wiring is in place for the house. I have not run wire yet for the garage. Not sure where to install it.
Oh man i am sorry but i couldn't help you without seeing what kind of setup you have.
Where did you get the box for the meter?
Cardello Electric thanks for the comment.
Why didn't you use the tractor's bucket to drive the ground rods?
I guess i just didn't think about it until i was already finished lol.
Suprised you didn't straighten it first
Thanks for watching
The reason most women are "up-tight" is because they rarely pee on the ground and ground out their static electricity. Men are more laid-back because they frequently pee on the ground. Decades ago when most household plumbing was metal you could ground out your static electricity by peeing in the toilet........but PVC pipes ruined all that.
Good point thanks for watching
Holy crap. Never thought about that.. lol
