I predict the Storm roster next year will be: PG - Skylar | Nika SG - Jewell | Marine Johannes (she's close with Gabby and fit the 3pt bill) SG - Gabby | Jordan (Gabby can play some PG when Sky rests and let Nika work her way in) PF - Nneka | Draft Pick (Westbeld?) | inexpensive veteran who can also play some SF C - Ezi | Mercedes The hope is the team plays like they did at the end of the year with added 3pt shooting from Johanne. Everyone will know their roles and we'll see a second year cohesion improvement.
the pretty accurate and good prediction/they better do this....however i want them to trade nika to the sky for my dream sky roster (though at this point i don't know what going on with the sky so maybe nika should stay in seattle where it is safe)
I came back and watched this again much later couple of weeks after Mika's injury. I pray that they keep Her and let her rehab there. She looked good in the first half of the game she got hurt in
Needs 3 pt shooter off the bench...draft Fudd or Pao Pao Needs a productive back up big...sign Cheyenne Parker if she'll take less $ or sign Temi Fagbenle Backup PG...sign Veronica Burton
I'd argue they haven't really committed to a rebuild yet though. Usually when folks say rebuild they mean basically accepting being a bottom four team to get a new generational player through the lottery. They could have started that process but chose to trade away draft stock to clear roster cap space for Neka and Skylar opting for a "win" now strategy instead.
A better example of a team that’s actually in the rebuild is the sky. They’re basically starting from 0 as the only players left from last season r Dana Evan’s and Isabelle Harrison. Two players who r bench players. Seattle is really a super team. If they don’t resign neneka and sds leaves, and gabby doesn’t come back, I would say they’re in the rebuild
I can't comprehend why you gave Los Angeles a higher season grade (B+) than Seattle (B-) when Los Angeles had the WNBA's worst record while Seattle made the biggest won-lost improvement of any team in the WNBA. And all this after Los Angeles had beaten out Seattle the season before (2023).
Jordan is actually going to play overseas in the offseason with her significant other and teammate Tamari Key. If Key actually comes back healthier post lung scare and she develops overseas, maybe the Storm could try her out.
I think they should run it back again only if Nneka is willing to resign with them. However another issue you didn’t mention is Coach Quinn. I don’t think she is that good and should get replace by Kurt Miller. Also I think maybe having Melbourne on the roster would of help the Storm this season
If the Storm do plan to rebuild that can shift things majorly around the league. Nneka, Skylar, and Lloyd can still contribute to winning basketball. I wonder what teams would try and acquire them if they are available?
With the combo of CBA opt out shortening contracts and expansion draft diluting the talent pool, I would just roll the dice and run it back if I were Seattle. Depends somewhat on the expansion draft rules, but at least in theory it should advantage these top heavy teams like the Storm and Mercury. Try to catch some injury luck and sneak in a title before the new CBA takes effect.
Tbh on the skylar issue ,they have nika muhl and she's going to besiktas in turkey to play this off season to develop her game ,so i think she would solve the pg issue.
I was hearing you throughout everything but you giving them a B- for not winning a playoff series after running into the defending champs is funny. Rebuilding after one season is insane. They should run it back mainly improving the bench and 3pt shooting. Of course Skylar needs a back up too.
Good analysis on this fantastic group of players and potential of team. Also agree this season was disappointing, makes me wonder why. Chemistry? Lack of focus or consistency? Did I miss your assessment of coach and staff?
The window is closed for this current core. They’re not going to get any younger. Tear it down and start over. Imagine building a super team and not being able to win one playoff game. They looked terrible in the fourth quarter of both games .. which is embarrassing considering the amount of veterans on the roster.
@@donovan7102 No, Vegas paced themselves because they are back to back defending champs who know they can win in the playoffs, and the starting PG was injured. Totally different story than Seattle.

the nneka and skylar signing weren’t bad, but think it put them in a long term issue
Well said!
@@HunterCruse14 You're right. They improved the team immediately but they're no long-term investments.
Big thing to keep in mind is no players (but 2, literally) besides rookies are signing past 2025 because players are expected to to opt out of the CBA

True about to jordan her decision making in the court. Thank you for this video
Earlier in the season you said you had Ezi for DPOY over A’ja, who’d you end up picking at the end? 😏
Storm is the otber team that i am rooting aside Fever. Bummer they got eliminated too
Jewell Lloyd is too big of a chucker.
JANIAH BARKER!!! Her next to Ezi and Horston. Wow wow wow
PLEASE PLEASE I NEED IT
I want Nneka to go to the Fever, they're one good forward away from being championship caliber.
I feel like you also have to give the team time to develop instead of just trying to scratch the whole roster
The problem is the stars (besides Ezi) are older

Deja Kelly from Oregon would be a good fit she reminds me of Skyler diggins maybe late in the 2nd round
Deja Kelly doesn't fit their team defensively at all
Cut sami, tori, holmes but keep Nika. Build through the draft.
The bench was really bad. Sammy and Jewel were bad at 3 point shooting. Jewel seems a bit old or something. She was not herself.
