Thank you for the support! This took some time, but I had a lot of fun talking about prospects from South Carolina and UConn to Slovenia and Russia. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!
Thank you Hunter, I appreciate all the work you put into this. As I mentioned before I’m still learning alot because this is All very new to me just this year, with the college ranks and the WNBA as well, but I’m really enjoying it and getting into it. Keep it coming 👍
Raven Johnson will get minutes as rookie, because she is playing hardest role in wnba ( PG) and can defend, rare combo, this alone means she will probably have a lot of minutes/ good career in WNBA immo.
Paopao could be like AC from aces, very good player on any elite team, even coming of the bench as deadly 3 point shooter/corner and can do a bit more. She will have long career in wnba immo.
Interesting that you didn’t mention Lucy Olson of Iowa till number 25… She was the #3 scorer last year in Division 1 only behind Caitlin Clark and JuJu Watkins.
I have to say, I do appreciate the time and the thoroughness of the analysis. The hard reality of incredibly players facing limited athleticism always hits. It's a cruel world sometimes. Curious to see how the transfer prospects are impacted, Iriafen, Barker, Phelia, Amoore, Leger-Walker, Olson. Watching HVL seemingly fall in value because of a bad fit would worry me just a bit. Also, as coaches in those programs are very much focused on winning I question if prospects taking "the next step" figures in at all. I could see someone like Amoore possibly shoot up because of usage but Iriafen or Phelia might not quite progress as they adapt to a more specific role.
Thanks Hunter 👍 I Enjoyed Your Rankings and I Appreciate all of the work you put into all of this. As I’m still new to this with College and WNBA just this year, I’ll just comment on a few Players you mentioned. And Please forgive All the Detail here on my Part Hunter, Im just excited for a New Player who Just came out of High School, and Im just mentioning Her here before commenting on your Rankings, Im going to be Keeping a close eye on this Player I’m Impressed with, out of High school that committed to My Hawkeyes, named Teagan Mallegni, a 6’1 Freshman Guard from McFarland, Highschool Wisconsin signed to University of Iowa. Tied for All Time most 3 Pointers in a game at 9) and Tied for Most Rebounds All Time in a game at (19) She has great Awareness, Knows Positioning, Moves well, Great Defense, Shoots well,, and can shoot the long ball, but not as efficient at longer-3 point range And her one downside is, she does have some area to work on with turnovers. She’s listed as guard, but she can play other positions which she has done somewhat. I know She Had offers from Every Bigtime Major College in the Country, and alot of various other colleges as well, and she Committed to Iowa over All The other Big Schools because she loved the commitment they had to Basketball Excellence, Player/Student Committments, and Academics. I hope She Starts, and gets good minutes, I thinks She is one of the Best High School Freshman Prospects entering College. And I’m saying that not just because I’m a Hawkeye, but because of her Superb Talents. I know that Coach Jensen is not afraid to Mix it up and Get New Players right into games. And I personally think that if she plays, Her and Stuelke will be their Top Players/Scorers. As for Your Rankings, I’d say they’re reasonable, I think Malonga will be a Player to watch, Malonga does have those downside issues of dropping passes and though Malonga gets out of position, I think with The Right Coaches Assisting and working with her She could possibly improve in those areas. Some teams have an excellent program of player development. So if Malonga gets selected and by the right Team that has good Player developement, she could Be an impact player I think. I also think Sivka is a player to watch as well, I think she has alot of Potential to Improve. I also think Citron Has a great deal of Potential to be Better, She’s Consistent in Her Skills and I think Personally can Be a Good Fit to an Overall Fill in/Supporting Role on Most Teams. -Lastly Hunter, The The only Real Major Surprise I have regarding your Rankings is Sydney Parrish of Indiana at 27th and Rank of 30? I have a couple of friends that are Diehard Hoosier fans, and they have told me that for some reason Indiana Women’s Basketball Players are consistently overlooked and often underrated. I gotta admit when I went back and searched the stats of a few Years of Indiana Womens Basketball and looked at alot of different areas, I did see a pattern there from alot of that school of thought, Including two different articles, I read, where that seemed to be an unfair trend that alot of people were talking about. Nothing personal to you Hunte. It was mentioned about the unfortunate overlooking of Several Indiana Players apparently. The Articles listed topics as Indiana Players Consistently Underrated in Drafts and Underrated Rankings. They were listed as- Mackenzie Holmes Sydney Parrish Sara Scalia Chloe Moore McNeil and Grace Berger. But I’m not sure that I agree that all of them have been overlooked and underrated, maybe to some degree, I think maybe. But do I know that Grace Berger got drafted by my Fever 1st Round 7th pick, and I don’t think that she was underrated. Anyway, Hunter, I just think that Parrish is a much better player than where you have Her at, But I do know that you know far more about this than I probably will ever know. Anyway, Hunter, thank you for bearing with me for all the details here. Most of which, I probably didn’t need to add Regarding Teagan Mallegni. P.S. I’m not sure what happened with a section of my comments has lines through it.? I did not put those lines there, and I went back to edit to try to remove them, and it shows the lines through a lot of my comments. For some reason at least it shows on my end.
I believe Chicago can select Paopao as a lottery pick, she and Chennedy complement each other and we URGENTLY need a shooter. Amoore can be a backup as PG at pick 10. I'm hopeful for the next seasons 😁
Maddy Westbeld will be a perfect pickup for Indiana Fever. They need help next season to advance in the playoffs. Ayoka Lee as well for Center. Even though they have a Center.
U have to be delusional to think that Maddy is even gonna be drafted by any body ur too caught up in the Clark hype it's soo many players that would get drafted before her
feels like we’ve seen the Malonga international prototype not working out in the W. not sure the league always does well with general development bc of the limited spots. she has all the tools though!
Obviously I have the luxury of seeing this after the season started so I’ll leave a lot of my comments to myself. I have one statement. I’m very high on Morrow. One element I think you didn’t consider with her going to Chicago chemistry. Her and Reese have it. It would be a great fit in that regard
Nahhh. I'd rather have what I believe what is going to be a sleeper in this draft. Ayoka Lee Kansas State 6'6" Holds the Women's D1 single game scoring record. Only downsize is her age,but the Fever need size.
@@BGPIndy Maybe as a backup, but some concerns about her athleticism and ability to run the floor. Ideally need to find a bigger, better, younger Fagbenle(33). We can do fine with Lee or Jessica Sheppard from FA, but we need a starter to replace Fagbenle to run the floor in transition.
As a libs fan I wouldn't mind her at 7 since any rookie isn't really going to make an impact, and we had Sherrod and Davis on the bench all year. Or trade the 7 pick to replace Kayla who will get taken by GS in the expansion draft.
Don’t know the women’s game that well. Is Hailey Van Lith not close to being a draft pick? If not, it’s curious she’s so well-known to casual fans. The only player on this list I’ve heard of more than her is Paige Bueckers
1:50 is that really a fair critique tho? when her coach and team had her playing a forward? Paige hit plenty of pull up 3s last season and I dont think anyone thinks Paige cant hit any 3 on the floor; pull up, off the dribble, set, in transition etc. I think Paige is easily 80+ grade and the fact that she is not only willing but able to change her game based on what her team needs even if it means reducing her on ball touches or shots while still having the same impact shows you she's the best draft prospect of the past fews years
by looks of your mock draft so you are telling me this roster is possible if we manifest it lol The chicago sky 2025 roster 5. kamilla cardoso/angel reese (when the team goes small ball) 4. angel reese (stretch 4 pin hybrid forward-guard)/aneesah morrow (when team goes small ball) 3. alisha gray/Michaela Onyenwere/aneesah morrow 2. chennedy carter/ alisha gray (when the team goes with a tall guard lineup 1. lindsay allen/chennedy carter (when the team goes with a tall guard lineup) Bench. 6. Tina Charles (can mentor angel and milla) /Awak Kuier/Amanda zahui b. (get height for taller center….try Li yueru but that won’t be easy) 11. Raven johnson (with the 2026 pick if raven declares for the 2025 draft if she declares for 2026 then pick raven up in 2026) if not raven then a tall guard that can play defense and has a 3 pointer or can playmake like bree hall or herbet harrigan/ aerial powers/Rachel b…. …also note if you get a small guard like kyrse, dana or Moriah for the 11 spot then get a tall guard for the 12th spot or vice versa (one must playmake ….while the other provides the three but both must be able to play defense)….i prefer two tall guards for the 11th and 12th spot 12. Alisha Gray (via satou sign and trade with ATL.)/Nika Muhl (via trade if not then diamond deshields…use players not listed to get 6’0 defensive guard-forward if neither DD or nika is available) if not them get bree hall, aerial powers or a tall guard that can play defense and has a 3 pointer or can playmake, if you get a small guard for the 11 spot then get a tall guard for the 12th spot or vice versa (one must playmake ….while the other provides the three but both must be able to play defense) or by some miracle chance get Allisha Gray in a sign n trade for her that sends satou to atlanta and Allisha gray to Chicago and Atl preps for 2026 to have a core of satou, rhyne and flaujae johnson… i prefer two tall guards for the 11th and 12th spot Sn: the sky can pick up aneesah morrow, paopao in 2025 with their two first round picks and in 2026 the sky can pick up raven johnson or kiki rice by combining their two first round 2026 picks..the sky are in a really good position as a team going forward….if raven declares for 2025 pick up aneesah with the lot then both raven and paopao with the two 2025 1st round picks and one of the 2026 1st round picks
yea i didn't think of alisha (since she not a FA) till angel wanted her on unrivaled and then i realized some things with ATL, Flaujae and Alisha that could help us persuade ATL to let us have Alisha so that Flaujae can without a doubt be at the 2 for ATL.....Alisha is huge because she can guard the 2 and 3 and she also can 3 level score and she is a vet and angel likes her, and she is a south carolina alumni so kamilla and the other sky south carolina players will get along well.......also true considering how we only can core 6 and since we will core our starting 5 it was going to come down to izzy or elizabeth that...i wanted both with hopes one of them goes under GS's radar but that will be hard considering how valuable the two of them are....even if we do aneesah and elizabeth can still hold it down as a reserved 4 while we rely more on tina charles to play the reserved 5 (tina is huge we have to get tina) but who you think we should get to replace izzy if she is gone? ....
@@DJ_Mr_Rodge Williams can fill the backup big role - AR and Kamilla should be getting 30+ min a night and she can fill the rest - id like them to draft Ayoka Lee who is a monster like Kamilla as insurance. Wouldn't mind moving Chen to PG w Allisha, Michaela, Barbie, and Kamilla would be a scary good defensive lineup 💪 Lindsay Allen is ok but I don't like watching her dribble for 15 seconds before initiating something, good back up but not starting Calibur.
i was thinking about it but if we can get a 6'2 to 6'4 hybrid wing to replace izzy if she is gone....i would probably go that route over a traditional pf...since we can let elizabeth and aneesah play the 4 and let the hybrid wing kind of float around at the 2,3 and 4 (which would compliment having an undersized aneesah morrow).....someone like a dewanna bonner prototype who like rae burrell, rickea (though we not getting rickea that would be a dream come true), leonie fiebich (another better keep dreaming if you think we getting her)....maybe we can convince emma meesseman to come back to chicago at the right price...open to hear suggestions for izzy's replacement
Here is a thought that could spell the doom of high level womens college basketball. . Most of The referees in college WBB game truly are not athletically minded meaning anytime contact happens they feel a foul must be called. That means good defense is sacrificed. Just because a girl hits the ground does not mean there was a foul. Geno understands this problem. Refs should be hired based on merit not gender.
What? No Ayoka Lee from Kansas State!??! Otherwise than the downsize of her age somebody give me a reason that she's not a top 30 draft pick given her career stats, single game D1 scoring record and her D1 and Big 12 Conference accolades. Sleeper in the draft for me.
@@dewuster8885 you have to be 22 years old during the year of the draft. Johnson turns 21 this year and will be 22 in 2025 which makes her draft eligible.
I honeslty think Olivia Miles will be a bust/underwelming , she cant shoot, not mobile, below average athlete and this will hinder her defense in wnba, she will be targeted every PnR ,you compare her to SDS but, SDS in my opinion had way better scoring outside the 3 pointers, easily got 20ppg+ second season, elite passing, and in my opinion is better overall player even as rookie. I'm very high in Sivka, as you said , big that can shoot 'modern big' is big deal to have.
You can have all the talent in the world But not be able to handle the physical game of the WNBA. Excited for the college season to start, then the draft. Play your hearts out players. Viewship is high. Block out the noise. 🩷🌺

i was thinking about it but if we can get a 6'2 to 6'4 hybrid wing to replace izzy if she is gone....i would probably go that route over a traditional pf...since we can let elizabeth and aneesah play the 4 and let the hybrid wing kind of float around at the 2,3 and 4 (which would compliment having an undersized aneesah morrow).....someone like a dewanna bonner prototype who like rae burrell, rickea (though we not getting rickea that would be a dream come true), leonie fiebich (another better keep dreaming if you think we getting her)....maybe we can convince emma meesseman to come back to chicago at the right price...open to hear suggestions for izzy's replacement
the talk is that you are getting Curt Miller as coach, if that is the case, chenedy will NOT BE on the team i promise you that much.
Morrow should go #1. Her size and ability to score inside and out makes her the best prospect.
Paige is the Caitlin of the 2025 drafts
Nice piece but please stop with the Ever seen. Or watch some old videos if you have not seen. Only Paige on your list deserve that comment
Is it because he didn’t mention Lauren Jackson or Liz Cambage when he was talking about Janiah Barker? 😂 Australia fan, Storm fan or Sparks fan?
Morrow is not getting drafted that low!!
Morrow is top 3. Maybe #1.
@@Benzy-d3u definitely top 3 but I think Paige is #1 as of now
Here is a thought that could spell the doom of high level womens college basketball.
No Flau’jae Johnson? She’s eligible ….
She’ll only be 21 years old by the 2025 draft & she’s only in her 3rd year. So I don’t think she eligible
@@dewuster8885 you have to be 22 years old during the year of the draft. Johnson turns 21 this year and will be 22 in 2025 which makes her draft eligible.
@@Lermdogg101 But the players opted out of the current CBA.
She is eligible but its pretty 50/50 with her so i think he’s going the players either have eligibility left or are most likely to head to the draft
Paige isnt a 80 Grade at all, yall will see eventually that she is at BEST and i mean her VERY BEST a 55 Grade
Paige isn't strong. She's going to have issues adjusting to the physicality of the WNBA. Caitlin is stronger than Paige.
chennedy carter is number 1 this list is ass smh
I honeslty think Olivia Miles will be a bust/underwelming , she cant shoot, not mobile, below average athlete and this will hinder her defense in wnba, she will be targeted every PnR ,you compare her to SDS but, SDS in my opinion had way better scoring outside the 3 pointers, easily got 20ppg+ second season, elite passing, and in my opinion is better overall player even as rookie.
I'm very high in Sivka, as you said , big that can shoot 'modern big' is big deal to have.
Super in depth? Super now has no meaning.
:((
Aneesah morrow is a angel reese who can shoot your wrong about her
You can have all the talent in the world But not be able to handle the physical game of the WNBA. Excited for the college season to start, then the draft. Play your hearts out players. Viewship is high. Block out the noise. 🩷🌺
