There are a Minimum, 10 players right now in College that are FAR better then the FAN favorite CC. So if you are going to base your Fever Rankings off of that, you are going to be sadly mistaken. The Chicago Sky have the BEST and Youngest TWIN Tower Combo in the WNBA and they have 2 first Round Draft picks in one of the DEEPEST WNBA drafts in recent memory. So putting the Sky at 7 is CRAZY.

Would swap #2 & #1. Stewart could easily be distracted with Unrivaled. Also, they still play the old style basketball. Great for this year, but 2025 will bring new contenders with faster, better play styles. Here’s the main variable: Will the W clean up referees? If they do, Liberty will drop significantly in potential. My hot take: Their victory can be attributed in part to biased officiating based on a league that wanted them to win.

LV drafted Liz Kitley last year but she did not play due to injury. She was the ACC player of the year the last two years and not a high pick because she was injured. Has the potential to be a great addition to the team this coming year. She says recovery has gone well. Will see this coming season.

Great video. Agree mostly but I’d personally put Minny at 2. LV’s top heavy roster construction makes it a lot harder to make moves around the margins whereas Minny’s team building philosophy looks more sustainable long term. I don’t see Cheryl retiring any time soon w/ Phee just coming into her prime. Not convinced that the Stephanie White move puts Indy above Minny & LV if they keep the Clark/Mitchell back court. Last year’s Liberty team had 3 All Defense calibre players on their starting line up and their back court was still exploited by the Aces. This year, they replaced Sloot w/ Fiebich and got a better defensive effort from Sab and they still only won the finals by the skin of their teeth.

Cons for Lynx is losing very good depth bench players, and there isnt that much talent in free market this year, so they might have weaker bench going forward immo, that have to adapt to the team and all that lack of synergy. I believe minimum 1 player will be poached by another wnba team and 1 will be picked by Expansion team, if they lose players like Natisha Hiedeman (start er on a Conn b4 going to play of the bench for Lynx and lets say a stretch big aka position 6/7 of the bench it will be a blow immo. Good video i enjoy it liked and comment and all that ;) Another thing to Nitpicking wise, NYC and Indiana have player homes/apartments within WALKING distance to the facility, this isnt the case for every team, for example Chicago new facility will make players TRAVEL MINIMUM 30 -45min one way (total of 1h30-45min) traveling to and back from it+traffic , so players have more free time and ability to go home see kid/family within walking distance of the facility. So thats a + for NYC and Fever. NYC by far is in the best spot, very good owners, very good front office, very good players and amazing value contracts like Leonie Fiebich/Nyara Sabally both cheap and non affected by WNBA 2026 cba deal , meaning you have more or less a starter and now championship exp big off the bench on rookie deals, this is huge as it allows you to refresh squad/bring vets on big wages to be even stronger/better if needed because of injuries or the like. For example bringing backup pg to replace aging Slooth, more depth on the bench +potential on the bench to develop and trade for value down the line or backup to aging players etc.

It depends on who the Fever can pick up as another big. If they can land a Satou type player, they'll be number one in my opinion. I think N.Y. will be aging out soon and Stewart and Jones are getting tired.

It’s crazy how the sun might fall off after this season after years of being championship contenders. Considering the direction the W is going in Connecticut is not a destination that it used to be. What’s worse is that the owners don’t want to move their team to Boston, even though sports is huge in Massachusetts and they sold out the 1 game they had there with minimal promo.

I would love to see the fever trade Mitchell for Sabally (it would need to be a three team trade, maybe with Washington because they have a lot of bigs and limited back court scoring), and pick up a solid back court defender.

Solid list and mostly agree. The Sun being in their own tier is hilarious. I think Dallas should be ahead of LA. The Wings have two young all stars, 3 promising prospects, Bueckers and all their future draft picks. I think Minnesota should be ahead of the Aces. LV is tapped out financially and has no young prospects. Their roster is aging and thin. I don't know how they improve beyond crushing it in FA after next season and they're gonna have a lot of competition with 3 new teams. I'm not as optimistic about Indiana being a big free agency destination but Clark, Boston, and Mitchell are enough reason for them to be 2. Player development and coaching will go a long way. They're the epitome of controlling their own destiny.

I think the Mystics situation can be significantly better or worse depending on what they do with EDD. I think they can likely guarantee at least an extra 2027 1st round pick if they're able to trade EDD (given that last year's rumors are true. the ones that said she wanted out of Washington). EDD is the MASSIVE mystery that no one is talking about this off season. Particularly for Washington.
