    That's a lot of filling. Haha. Here here here here here... Wow. I know injection molding gives depressions on thicker pieces but that is a lot. This is looking quite good. Can't wait to see the next step.

    Sooooo putty is your buddy! I always liked to shave the back of the grille to open it up, if it’s engraved deep enough! Couldn’t see if this was the case with this one! My 69 Camaro looked cool doing this ! Some you can some you can’t ! great video as always ! 🤔😝🫡🇺🇸

    Thanks for this video! This is one of my favorite 1:1 muscle cars! There are two things that bother me about the design of this kit (I wouldn't care if they weren't so obvious): The battery that appears to be sitting on top of an elevator shaft and the coolant overflow tank. I may be wrong, but I don't think the 1970 Plymouths had a coolant overflow tank. I own some excellent reference books and the pictures do not show one. I'm sure these errors are not important enough to warrant major surgery, but they're worth nailing down.

    • @ScaleModelExperiment
      @ScaleModelExperiment  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’re so right about both Mark. Since I decided that I was building the kit box stock I had to work with what was there. I cut a divide line under both to make it appear that they weee separate pieces. Thanks for watching👍

    Thanks for the tips. I have this on my workbench currently. I couldn't live with the engine compartment, so I cut it out and I'm attempting to graft the compartment from the 69 Superbee. It's not perfect, but it's a lot better than this one. Looking forward to seeing how yours comes together.

    • @ScaleModelExperiment
      @ScaleModelExperiment  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching Rob. To keep myself from going nuts on this one (too late) I’m not adding to this kit just cutting and putty work to make it better. I would love to kitbash this kit with something else but knowing me it would snowball into a much bigger project. Take care and good luck with your project.

    Great tips James. I'd like to add one major tip: the space between the front bumper and grille make the front end awkward looking and inaccurate. To fix this, drill two holes just above the existing holes in the bumper locator tabs and now you have a more accurate bumper to grille space. This makes a big difference in the appearance. While you're at it, slightly taper the front fender bottom forward of the wheels upward to meet the bumper's bottom edge.
