How is ques 4 D?
Got a short notice invite to the Fire service psychometric testing. These made up a portion of the questions. As I was short of time I decided that I needed to spend quite a bit of time on this over maths and English which I considered myself to be fairy naturally good at 😅 I scored well but actually scored best and above average in the abstract reasoning section.. 100% thanks to this video as before watching it I did tend to struggle without the structured plan of attach he gives you! If there are ever tests i needed to complete in the future, that Richard has available to buy for practice, I would be first in line. Thanks Richard!!
Update - Found out today that I successfully passed the psychometric tests and I’m being advanced to the next stages of the recruitment process!
Hi Richard and thanks for the videos! Your enthusiasm is glowing!
So nice of you
Thank you so much!! I have never been this amazed on this before and now i learned it :D
Spatial reasoning has always been my Achilles when taking any aptitude test. The way you isolate each piece has helped me tremendously! Now I no longer get overwhelmed by the entirety of the image - I can pick out individual pieces that allow me to quickly eliminate incorrect answers. SO HELPFUL, THANK YOU!

@@CareerVidz Thanku sir 👍👍
This helped me a lot in my work, keep up the good work
2.) D, The square in the middle alternates from black to white, and the circle inside a square does too. The two triangles separated by the circle within a square rotate along the edges of the outer square (the square base) anticlockwise.
4.) D, The dots position do not actually matter as they don't form a consistent pattern. The dots is you look at them diagonally form a pattern. The domino side at the top and the domino side at the bottom form a pattern. The domino side increase by one each time. Whereas the bottom side of the first domino and the top of the second will alternate between these two numbers, 3 and 1. In dominos the usual patterns are: diagonal, straight line pattern , or the sum of the dominos' dots. Maybe even and odd will occur sometimes.
5.) C, The dominos this time go in a straight pattern. The top sides increases by one dot each time and the bottom sides decrease by one each time. The second pattern is that on the top side, The arrows alternate from black to white, the black arrows ALWAYS face left and the white arrows ALWAYS face right. The reverse happens for the bottom sides of the dominos.
7.) C, The sides of the shape in the middle decrease by one each time , and the arrow on the top left corner switches colour in this pattern: black, red, green. The thin line the protrudes the shape in the middle and reaches the corner of the square rotates in a 90 degree angle, clockwise.
9.) D, firstly, it's the only square with two different coloured smaller arrows. The external arrow and the internal arrow ( the one inside the big one) should be the same colour. The reason why it's not the other choices is because the internal arrow should face the opposite way the bigger arrow is facing. So where the white arrow and black arrow face is not certain. White doesn't always face down and black up.
Correct and good explanations. You'r Inspyring.
All u proved is that any moron can devise a test to sniff out a genius...as long as there's sufficient time to work it out. Unfortunately the average IQ test question is finished by the time this guy got to one third his first clear explanatory sentence, Intelligence isn't the truth but its the ability to get to it in the shortest amount of time appropriate for the particular problem, Also the amount of time is critical because thats also something that can be predicted from similar data.
So in short, this crap can NOT be "taught" expect maybe in amerika where EVERYONE is waaaay abovve average
All of your answers are correct! Excellent work. Thank you for the great explanation😊

Still waiting for him to get back to ya ? LOL he is a TWAT !
why 9B?
@@n_utd the correct answer is C
@@ZitronenTee7Why C ? I think it D cuz it’s different color (not sure). Let’s share your opinion.
I think you are wrong with question 6. It seems like the arrow is going back where it started. Therefore, it should be black. Same time, the line in the corners appears to represent the color of the shape. Correct me if I am wrong. I can't find any solid reason why you choose the option D
Sir I have a doubt in last type of questions do we need to follow the pattern or some similarities
2.D, 4. ,5.C,7.C, 9.B
Q9 it can be D because it is the only figure with 2 arrows different colored but it can be B because it is the only big arrow containing a colored arrow inside
Adam McGill so it can be A as well as its the only one that is not odd. It is odd for not being odd.
Answer to question 4: D, Number 5: C
I have an entrance exam tomorrow, and they say i should study abstract.
Man this helped me alot, I easily understand your explanation.

D, D, C, C, D..... just bought your subscription!
All correct! Fantastic :)
@@CareerVidz hi is there a way i can contact you please?
q2.b,d
Q9 has multiple answer depend or pattern you apply and as a rule if you can describe different pattern that leads to the answer your answer is also correct till you invalidate as this is an abstract reasoning. Is that true?
False. There is only one answer which is D. All the smaller arrows are the same colour except D and that means D is the odd one out.
No, the answer has to be D. The pattern works it way diagonal. You will see the pattern going from 2,3,4,5 and 3,2,3,1 so the top number should be 6 dots and the bottom should be 3.
Yipeeee I am getting. Thank you Sir for being such a great teacher 🙏

I am from india...still watching your knowledgable vedios
Your questions seem very easy. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate difficulty of your questions at 4 or 5. Maybe its hard to put harder questions in timed tests. Solving harder problems in a longer time period is better than solving lot of easy problems in a short time period. Just my thought about exams.
You are right about the ease of these questions, most of us can solve these easy ones. In any entrance exam there are about 50 questions out of which pass mark is 30, which is a lot especially when you are only given 20 mins. They get more and more complicated as they proceed and and gets more difficult. I've searched youtube for them but they all show you the easy ones. Maybe show a couple of hard ones so we can understand some bloody pattern, otherwise I'm stumped. Just my thought about these helpful videos.
Q 5: C
Correct again! Great work!
Thank youuuu so much nisamot jud kug ka bugo ani tabang 😭
I just did a test with Alva labs after I followed your youtube tutorial. Got a 7 in their scale of 1 to 10. I suppose its ok?
Can you please show how you worked out the answer for question 4?
in a criss-cross pattern, the no. of dots increases by 1
eg: top of A= 2
bottom of B = 3
top of C = 4
and so on
A
I really need help in these types of questions because I really get confused whenever I come across any
Q9 is D because B have two arrows that are both shaded in and out, which means they will clear out. D is the odd one.
Thank you!
Thank you for creating these vdos

That was so useful thanks~
Do you mind elaborating on question 9, I find that B and D are all valid answers. Side note; it seems as if you were made to teach! You have a way with words and your explain actions always help me understand :)
Only 2 colours used in A B and C. In D 3 colours are used.
But B is the only one that has a black arrow inside the main arrow... these things can be subjective and its a little silly that there can only be one right answer....
Wow you help me a lot thank you sir. I've already subscribed
Q2 = D
Q2- D
Q3-A
Q4-D
Q5-C
100% correct. Nice one.
The problem with question 8 is that C is also unique in having the only black triangle in it. I think there are a couple answers technically for question 8 where there is also the only black square in D. Perhaps if the triangle is in the black strip of C was centered, then it would validate A more as an answer.
I think the pattern doesn't have anything to do with the "shade" of the shapes.
I answered letter A because it has a pair of squares rather than triangles. The rest of the choices have 2 triangles, 1 square, and 1 circle. Regardless of their shade
what do you think?
D
So helpful
Thank you
I understand all of them except Q4. Could you please elaborate on that one for me? Thanks
If u alternately see the sequence from top to bottom then it comes to.....two, three, four, five.. Nd ghe next must be six...... Nd if u see alternately from bottom to top then it comes to..... Three, one, three, one so next must be three.. so the answer is D

On Q8 I see other patterns. D has a black square and no where else is there a black square........so how is your answer the only possible one? It says "which SHAPE is the odd one out".

@@CareerVidz why is question 9 not B? All the inner arrows are painted with exception of B.
The listed tasks are tasks of the type: We have a sequence of numbers 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, x. What is the number x? Every mathematician knows that this problem has an infinite number of solutions! First of all, x = 32. However, it can also be - 32, or even 10 etc ... The tasks you list also have an infinite number of solutions. I don't understand what they are good for? What kind of people should they raise? Definitely not mathematicians! They point only to the limited nature of their submitters. Please learn math. Without it, everything is just a glorious croaking.

I am having such a rough time trying to figure out Q4.
I figured that atleast the top row, that 2,1 - 4,1 - 6,1 etc. Each adds up 2 dots. So I concluded that the answer must have 6 balls in the top row.
But I just can't figure out what the correct bottom row is?
I see, from reading comments that the answer is D. But I can't figure out how to come to that conclusion?
Could anyone help me understand and explain how the thought process is so that I can learn?
