      @@louisafoster1640 as cliche as it sounds you have to take getting sober one day at a time. Which really sucks cos at the start it's all you can think about. Last night I had 2 pints of beer and a glass of red wine; I decided to "try" being drunk. Let's just say that today I feel extremely awkward from some of the things I said while drunk. That's what alcohol truly does to you- it makes you feel like everything is so silly when drunk, but when the effect wears off you go into deep regret.

      @@AsapSCIENCE Lol. 😉
      The progression of the experience was, in retrospect, oddly absurd. The bottle was on the top shelf of the kitchen pantry. I had to reach up quite high to retrieve it. I took down the bottle and poured a quantity into a glass in curiosity. I hadn’t intended to get tanked. The stuff hurt going down. I put the bottle back up on the shelf.
      I returned later and repeated the procedure with no firm idea of my destination. The bottle came down, I poured and drank, and the bottle was returned to its place. This went on several more times in decreasing intervals of time. I realized I was thoroughly sloshed when I was weaving around in my (successful) attempt to put the bottle back.
      The whole thing turned into a situation comedy when my music teacher arrived at my house to give a lesson, and I tried to play. It wasn’t a success and she left after a couple of minutes.
      My parents were disapproving and amused. The result was punishment enough, and I didn’t incur any penalty beyond the painful embarrassment. :-)

      @@ms.debourghofrosings6829 First time I truly got drunk was surprisingly after I turned of legal age. I was at the beach with my parents and sister. I drank an entire 12 pack of beer by myself. The experience was fun and my parents were laughing at me. But I blacked out and all I remember was violently vomiting into the bathtub of our Airbnb in the middle of the night and waking up downstairs with all the lights still turned on. I asked my parents and sister what happened but apparently they went to bed before I even finished all of the beer. That next day and the memory of throwing up was so bad that I have never gotten drunk off beer again. I do however like some whiskey on occasion.

    For some reason, when I drink even the smallest amount of alcohol, like half a beer, I'll get hungover pretty bad in the morning. What's weird is that by noon I'll feel pretty good, and feel like exercising more than I might otherwise. Not sure if it's linked, but to me it seems to be a pattern.

    • @iGNiTETheKiD
      @iGNiTETheKiD 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They’re are no studies or clinical trials that state a night after drinking a beer u would be more willing to exercise. However everyone is different and drugs are subjective depending on the individual and effect us all differently. This may be a true effect that is exclusive to you, albeit that’s not a bad effect to have, as exercising has endless benefits including boosting ur mood, helping sleep, releasing natural endorphins boosting mood, so yeah.

    I am actually very intoxicated while I am writing this, and I personally believe that intoxication doesn't actually affect your moral framework to any significant degree;
    in other words, if you have certain sense of right and wrong, then you will continue to have those views even when you are intoxicated.
    It is mainly your inhibitions that are affected, so that you start expressing yourself more freely;
    for example, if someone repeatedly points out that he or she is super-fond of his or her friends, then that is very likely a genuinely feeling about those friends, and the intoxication has made it easier for that person to express those feelings.
    Similarly, a neurotic person who easily feels anxious is probably more likely to become emotional and cry easily during intoxication, and an irritable person who easily feels angry will probably start picking fights with people (and possibly regret it afterwards, depending on that person's overall personality and morals), and so on.

    I am in the day drinking camp on this one. Because of quarantine, and finishing college in 2020, I tried doing the Italian thing of having a drink before (or after) lunch, specifically an apterif or digestif, during the week. It would be one serving (usually a shot of Lemoncello). It was really nice. At some point, I tried just having a single beer with the food and it was an even better experience. All I can say is when in comes to drinking general, moderation is key. If you are going to day drink, I recommend doing a single drink with lunch. If you want to get real fancy, do a charcuterie board and a paired wine or beer for lunch.

If you wanna get drunk (0.15-0.25 BAC), it’s best do it every 2-4 weeks or couple months while maintaining a healthy lifestyle to burn the calories. It’s not needed though, just to have more fun i guess
