What an insightful and moving interview. I downloaded the song. David has an amazing voice complimented with touching lyrics. As the melody started playing through my headphones, I was instantly captivated by the raw emotion that emanated from David's powerful vocals. Each note seemed to carry the weight of his experiences, as if he had poured his heart and soul into every word.
It was as if he had found a way to connect directly with the listener's emotions, evoking a sense of empathy and understanding. The words he chose were deeply personal and introspective, delving into the depths of human emotions and experiences. They told a story of love, loss, and resilience, painting a vivid picture in my mind with each verse.
    Best Wishes.

I ran away when I was 16 because of my sexuality. My parents were preachers and I’m now 47 and I still have to deal with their Bible BS. It’s crazy how they can sin all they want but want to judge me… You are an inspiration David Archuletta . ❤

My mom was cool about it. It's my older siblings who are the zealots. So much judgment and hypocrisy. I'm done with it.

Thank you for this! It helps to clarify and flesh out who and where David is on his life journey and that its okay to be fluid and change according to one's experiences and considerations!! Its always a pleasure to hear him speak, so Thank you David!!! I look forward to the book!

David speaks about writing a book in this interview and others about his life. I wondered if the process of writing this book is the ultimate journaling process for him. Writing down and examining personal experiences has to stir a lot of emotions and at the same time puts some light into these moments that can give him some closure. I suspect when he finishes this process, he will be at so much more peace with himself, at least I hope so for him. Great interview!

I was raised in a religious family, I knew I was gay in hindsight. Meaning that before I knew the birds and the bees, before I understood that being gay went against scripture, I had gay feelings. I can remember at about age 7 sitting in church and realizing that I was what they were talking about. I asked my mom if I was a bad person, and she said no, very confused. There is ZERO question that I was born this way, so if you believe in God, you believe he doesn’t make mistakes, then you know he created you (and me) to be exactly what we are. What matters is my faith, what kind of person I am, and nothing else.

I love Imagine Dragons. Today is my brother's birthday. He passed in 2005 to untreated depression. Somebody once asked me if he was gay. I was like, I'm sure he wasn't.

It’s so sad you feel that the leaders have any saying of how the church of Jesus Christ is run when you know they can’t change doctrine. If it’s a men’s church then it’s easily can be change but it’s not. We have to follow the law and order of God not men. We love you David and hope you find your happiness ❤

I stepped away in 2010. In 2001 I got a civil divorce (disillusionment). There is no point in being LDS without being a married woman. To be fair I tried to make it work. A friend gave me the paperwork to leave. I also had a mental illness. My story in a nutshell. I would read your book. Put it in Kindle format, and I will read it. My eyesight got so much worse. Ever try to read the Book of Mormon lately? The print is so small. It's like did my eyesight really get that worse.

I was born a sinner, did God make me this way? I must be born again says the Lord and I'll help you every step of the way. The Devil came out, and now he's out forever, did God make him that way,? you must be born again! No one is born perfect, with all sorts of defaults, I must be born again. Jesus bore all our sins, inherited, or created, by us, so that we could be born again!

Wow, I am 56 and I still am not really comfortable with the Gay Alphabet, I am also on the Asexual spectrum, but I've been gay 100%, but in later of life you realize sex is overrated, and you like the idea of sex, but that really isn't the motivation anymore..you are looking for a partner who you just want to be with just not for sex, but for companionship..btw it's funny David thinks he can dance...lol

God will never care about people who talk bad about the church..Also the church is perfect but us people we all have weakness..I'm truly happy being a member of the fullness gospel.

No. The church is not perfect - because it's run by men.

I'm an exmormon too. It sounds like you're a current Mormon. I have to say that leaving the church isn't an experience you can fully understand unless you do it. Almost every exmormon ice ever met no longer believed that the church was ever led by God. So not only do we feel like there is no real power to defend, we also feel very strongly that being open about our experiences is the right thing to do. I know that's hard to understand when you're still Mormon, but it's the truth.

So people are only allowed to be talk about their experiences in the church if they were positive. People can’t talk about the negative experiences they had.
