They must have sold a bunch of these in Germany. This thing really needs a mild cam, just for the sound, but the stock sound with the glasspacks sure does bring back memories.
Imagine being a 40+ man with 3 kids and a wife, and you want to be able to fit all of them in the car at the same time, and you don't want to drive the station wagon that day.
Hello just wondering if you could help our sons just brought a 1971 chrysler 300 . One question do you have trouble filling it up with petrol ? it seams like it gets a air lock when you get to half full does yours do this , many thanks Roy.
Beautiful C body! ❤👍Please check out my 1968 Barracuda fastback powered by a rowdy 512 stroker backed by an A833 4 speed manual. I think you'll approve. 👌
say that garbage to someone that stuffed a 440 as a mid engine into a 1/2 ton dodge van, aluminium heads and a cam was the only thing changed, stock crank and pistons, with headers and ate up any small block in the country, including souped up 340's. If ya think ya can tackle that, then bring it and a ton of cash to lose.
A stock 1970 440 makes 480 ft-lbs of torque. Imagine that paired with 2.76 gears. That's what I'm doing mine, will get a factory hp cam and exhaust manifolds, and maybe a lower-end edelbrock intake and heads. I'm gonna have a car that will not break a sweat up to about 140 mph.
Well Ron, let me set you straight. In 1976 My brother had a 64 Barracuda with 71 340 out of a Demon with a hemi grind cam in it. I had a 1970 Plymouth Fury 1 440 police pursuit package car. 360 hp, 480 ft lbs. Cuda had 2.73 gears, Fury had 3.23. Dead heat from a standing start until about 70 mph, then the Fury started pulling away. The big block just pulled better on the top end. The Fury would run the 140 certified speedo out of the numbers, the Cuda that had the 150 speedo out of the Demon in it would also run about 145 but the Fury was out front by about 10 car lengths. Every time. We did it a bunch of times.

I love your title! Mid-life Chrysler - very good play on words!

Ein Auto Fürs ganze Leben. Ein Prachtexemplar vom feinsten.

Einfach geil. 🤤
That trunk is bigger than my kitchen

This is the car the successful businessman or doctor or lawyer bought that felt he was a little old to get the 'cuda.

Which cam are you using?
none
He did the cam delete… a lot more reliable
Mopar music!!!
Most of those cars didn't survive. More like a donor. Jerk the motor junk the car.
I'm so guilty of doing that to so many cars.
Those 440s are worthless unless you change the guts. 340 can make headway on a 440. 440s are like Fords 460 just a bunch of weight

Hard to beat the sound of a 440
that‘s right 💪
