Very good tips. You make good points and that’s; new detailers starting out don’t need big time extractors because if they use this technique they can get very good results. Plus a very good McCullough steamer you can get for around $150.I use process and it works well.
Glad I came across your video. I bought a wrangler recently and there’s a water stain on the passenger seat and I’ve been looking to see what I can use to get it out without an extractor. I will give this a try!
Used Liquid Tide in pinch with a drill brush and a handful of microfiber. No power supply in the parking area for any shop vac/steam extractor in my condo complex or running anything electrical
There you go, there's many ways to skin a cat, we always encourage to use what you have, that's how we learn! . I know people who love using Dawn dish soap. What matters is that it's safe, and it works! Thanks for the comment and support.
@@DETAILSofficial yes sir. Yeah I did my first seat the other day. Did the spray with Terminator then lathered with fingers. Next hit Carpet Bomber. Had to use a drill brush on them because there was about 6 months of body oil in the seats due to the heat plus oil stain from the mechanic I had do work on my car.
As a detailer for over 7 years...I was about to say the same thing enzyme don't do the trick not bashing anyone.... and again steam breaks it down you can use a microfiber to mop up sometimes after drys the stains show up. And it's depending on the fabric extraction sometimes is the best way because the area needs to be deeply rinse....just my 2cents in have a good day people

I also also have p&s express cleaner, pearl, absolute, brake buster, and paint gloss showroom spray. Love the p&s products. They get the job done and looks fantastic!
Question: I have and use a McCulloch steamer. Plastic but it works. Getting good results. How does the performace compare with Chief steamer? From a business owner perspective... whats the ROI for a higher end steamer? I can already steam clean. Thoughts? Experience with both?
I've never owned a McCullouch, but as a business owner I believe the better the performance of your tools (the cheif is superior) the better and faster the outcome.
Great tips! How would you attack carpet without an extractor? It’s said APC sit deep in the fibers and because it can stay damp longer, it can attract more dirt and make carpet look worse faster. What’s a good way to shampoo by hand or should you just focus on spotting areas of stains to extract?
In order to understand what’s happening with carpets an upholstery it would be wise to understand the ph balance or scale and how alkaline ur APC solution is. If to too strong and you leave that on ur carpet or upholstery without naturalizing it’s it will re-stain faster and more of a probability of “wicking”. What Joel is doing is hitting it hard with an enzyme and bringing back down to earth with the carpet bomber product. In the PS line their is a third and final product to really finish it out. Also research Flex Fire and Flex ICE another one two punch for carpets and upholstery.
@@mauricioorantes9809 thank you for the info. When it comes to an APC, super clean is mentioned a lot and can be used on carpets/upholstery diluted 10:1. How effective is this or what risk is involved in terms of the ph balance you mention?
I'm still waiting for your video Joel, about aid or what soap you use or if you do some combination so that you have that foam in each vehicle and great job
Thank you for this video Joel. I recently bought these 2 products. Very informative!! On another note just curious to know if you have see P&S Hawaiian Shine, and if so how do you apply it. Thank you and keep bringing the knowledge!
@@DETAILSofficial thank you I really dont want to spend 500 right now on a new one at the moment especially with slow season coming up for me so I'll have to use this method for now
Is it recommended to steam clean the interior as part of a weekly maintenance wash regimen? I ask because I’ve read excessive steam cleaning can delaminate surfaces and have noticed it’ll make some black plastic cloudy/white at times. Would it just be a matter of keeping proper distance from the material and keeping it moving so as not to overheat it? Also, any techniques for getting rid of white spots on black plastic or leather caused by steaming?
You answered your question partly. Make sure to keep distance and move rather quickly. Also, I wouldn’t clean any areas if they aren’t dirty. Over cleaning an area will cause ware. If it’s a small spot of dirt on the door there’s no reason to apply so much cleaner. Spray once or twice then go over it with a microfiber. A lot of people like to brush and wipe areas that are spotless and that is one of the reasons vinyl and leather surfaces get worn out. For maintenance I would blow out the whole interior with a Tornador tool (definitely look into it), spot clean any areas that are actually dirty, use a soft microfiber for dusting, clean the windows, vacuum, and that’s it. If there are stains treat those at the end.
I think that’s a Subaru. If so the upholstery is different in those vehicles. I had the same issues multiple times with those cars. The only difference is I use super clean and my steamer. Super clean or Serrano sauce & steam will take care of the issues on this upholstery.
Suede is not used in vehicles, suede is an untreated material, Alcantara is what I believe you are referring to. And yes it works for that material safely.
Joel🫡. Any suggestions on removing stains from leather in a Honda Pilot. It’s a Mom mobile.. Steam and what else should I add to this. Like a stain remover chemical?. Thank in advance 👍🤜🏽

Hey Joel. I just used this same technique and it works amazing. 🙏
Like I say with proper techniques you cut down on time and don't need to drench the surface with water simply to clean.

Professional carpet cleaner here, with certifications,a enzyme treatment will not break down grease or dirt,it is only for organic stains, thats it.
The carpet bomber will break it down.
That’s why it’s a 3 step system. Carpet bomber breaks down grease.
