I use both metal and cloth. The metal labels I purchased were kind of expensive so I only use those on my good bags. I use the cloth ones for wristlets and tote bags...much more economical.
When I had my Etsy shop, I would print my own labels on printable adhesive fabric, cut them in my cutting machine and iron them on. Very laborious at first but then it was easy to reprint.
I try to use generic "handmade" fabric tags which vary between the inside and outside. I got them in a roll with about 3 different fonts which can suit both casual, fun makes and also the more classic ones too.
Cute label! I think that's the same guy another baglady said she got hers from. She said he didn't include the back "washer" and she didn't know she needed them until they started falling off her bags.

I only make bags for family and friends but order some stick on labels. My family enjoyed them so much I’m going to order some of the metal ones. My first and middle name is Nancy Joy so my tag is “N.Joy”. I’ve always liked my name and think Mom and Dad did great...for my “tag”! 😁

I couldn't reach the guy you referenced instead I was hearing back from various vendors, 3-4 days a part. Not sure where these people you used are located. But, I will watch your video again to see if I can gain any better understanding of the direction you are pointing us to. I really would like to order some logo tags, they make the bags look so much more professionally crafted.

@@BeatlesFanSonia typically the person who makes the bag, regardless of who the pattern maker is, puts their personal tag on. Yes it's her pattern but you are the one who made it so your name/logo would be on the purse. At least that's how I've always known it to be. Does that make sense?

I use a small 1.5 x 1.5 inch square cork label with my logo burned in. They look so classy.
For now I'm using a custom cloth tag inside the bags. I'm new to this so if I really get going I'd like to have metal tags. Thanks for the info!

I do a genaric metal tag on the outside of the bag and I sew a personalized label with a genaric design on the inside.

Oh dear! They're just prongs so can easily be removed - they're not pressed in like rivets. But you'll have holes to deal with eek!
