Thank you so much Sara for this video!!!!! You make everything so easy and clear to understand!! I love to watch your tutorials there is something about your voice that is calming that I know I too can do it!!!
Thank you so much! I am grateful for the patterns along with your videos. You give clear instructions and it is filmed very well. I will definitely keep watching and sharing!
Thanks Sara, so very helpful. I think this would be a good candidate for a plastic template, but with 1 or 2 more card slots added. Super appreciate your talent!
Yes, similar to the rulers to cut fleece for tied blankets. Plus if the cc piece is stitched down the middle first, then stitched onto the lining, there's now a section for cash, receipts or whatnot behind the card slots.
Very useful information. I'd never thought of doing this. I'm not sure I'd put credit cards inside a tote if the top isn't zippered shut, but I'd certainly put store loyalty cards in any tote.
Thank you so much for this! I made one yesterday like a slip pocket where you flip and turn and your way is so much neater and less bulky at the edges. I could still use the top as an extra slip pocket if I stitch the centre dividing line before attaching to the bag.
Hi, for single column I cut Sara's pattern to 4-1/4" wide x 13-1/2" long. So, basically, I kept her length and cut the width down. I tested on a scrap piece to see how it would fit and it was perfect for my narrower bag. But I didn't sew the top edge down - I only sewed the side and bottom edges to my lining. Because of the way it is constructed it is perfect for the top 'slot' to hold paper money. That slot is 'finished'. Really worked out well for me. Hope that helps!
I made the template from your pdf and it printed at 100% and was 8" x 13 1/2. Is there something I did wrong because it says to cut the fabric 7 1/4 x 12 1/2

They are an adorable free pattern of hers! sewsweetness.com/2019/04/free-faithwell-storage-bin-videopdf-pattern.html
Thank you this helps a lot. Did you announce the winner? It was cut off.
This was from an older Sewcial Sunday episode. It has been reduced to just this technique portion so you can view it separately.
Merci pour le tuto. Pourrait ont avoir le patron merci
My measurement for the size tester isn't accurate. It's off by an 1/8 inch larger than in 1". What should I do?
Is there a template for a verticals card slot? Or even just a single column for a narrower bag?

Pre pressing before the show not a good idea
im confused arent the edges going to be unfinished?
Around about 4min Sara turns the sides under by 1/4" to prevent raw edges.
You lose me at the fold every time. Just can’t get it. Takes me hours. 😑
