Thanks for the route review. I agree that it is best to wait a few weeks when it's on sale for March Madness. Besides the timetable mode issues, I wish that Dovetail would've just extended the route to Philly and add long distance cars like Amfleet 2's and Viewliners 1 and 2's in all configurations from baggage to sleeper. I would love to recreate leaving NYC during a snowstorm onboard the Silver Meteor en route to Miami. This route has so much potential though.
This route made me realize why the Acela accelerates so well, with speed limits that change like this, your train's gotta accelerate quickly or it's not high speed anymore.
I hope DTG can do. TSW3 upgrades/improvements to Long Island railroad and peninsula corridor San Francisco - San Jose/ Gilroy I hope in the future DTG will merge NEC New York to Trenton with NEC Boston to Providence
41:00 a Keystone that runs NY-Philly in push mode will run Philly-Harrisburg in pull mode. Keystones have the cab cars specifically to help with the fact 30th Street is past the turn toward Harrisburg at Zoo so they have to “back” out of Philly. So you could say in that example the cab car is always facing Philly no matter where it is on its run… except at Newark Penn on my daily commute I see Keystones facing both ways, so it seems like it must be a mix in reality. Maybe some or all of them go around the loop at Sunnyside and that’s how they end up facing the other way? I can only say for sure that I was on one last year that was not happy in pull mode after leaving Philly to head west, so they ended up having to push back towards Philly and go around the entire wye at Zoo (including the leg PRR intended to go directly west from North Philly, bypassing 30th) so the cab car could lead on the Harrisburg leg, too. So that set was definitely “backwards” for at least its next run.
Had some fun watching this while I drove the service for myself. I have to agree though that the Amfleet Cab Car is definitely one of my favourite things to drive on this route. It's always been a lot of fun and I'm just so glad it's back in the game now since I've wanted it to return for so long now. And yeah, can only hope now that they add to timetable in the future, cause it just feels quite dead in places it shouldn't which is quite sad tbh as this route has so much potential.
It looks so nice but definitely missing alot on the NJT side of the timetable. Btw, you were close on pronouncing Metuchen (Meh-touch-en) and the yard beyond Trenton is NJT's Morrisville Yard
look around nyc pen theres a few things missing lol like the bumpers at the end of the tracks on platforms 1-4 also long island railroad is in my game idk why its not in yours id look into that because i have long island railroad in mine.
I'm definitely noticing the "dead"ness of the route. They should, if they don't plan on updating it themselves, open the Unreal Engine API for timetabling to players. There's enough of a fan base for this route that we can rebuild the full timetable. They can make it available on the creators club or something.
I would definitely love to see them go past Philadelphia for the Keystone Corridor like a route that goes from Philadelphia to Harrisburg lots of possibilities for Keystone, Pennsylvanian, and NS local services

I went ahead and purchased NEC New York to Trenton and Amtrak Acela and two other In New York to Trenton, i free roamed around Penn station and I saw a surprise of an AI Long Island railroad locomotive
12:53 Portal Bridge: one of the contributing factors towards making NEC commutes to/from NYP quite hellish. 18:30 Newark Penn looks a bit too straight in the sim. Also, too bad you can’t run downstairs to Zarros and virtually grab some freshly made popcorn.
I’m currently doing a scenario called Sunnyside up and oh boy, he has problems the route from Sunnyside to New York Penn. You just face palm the overhead wiring from a certain point doesn’t exist out of it it. It just doesn’t exist from a certain point until a bit into the train tunnel. it is just gone poof nonexistence. How did this get passed by the testers? Or how did this even get tested? Because you have a tested it should be fined for incompetence Not to mention there’s an issue with the pantograph they broken. They stay down when you’re drawing current. I’m excuse me last to check that can’t actually happen. I’ve checked all American passenger DL seas I have and only Boston to Providence out 7:00 to at least 8:30 is busy in the morning London commuter, and it’s a different story at 8 o’clock. I counted at the main station. I have a cupholder or in a for cassette, 24 possible playable services for AI player control it seems like they don’t really like doing American roots much it seems like they much prefer doing European roots and British roots which is a bit unfair. The game is literally called train Sim world but it’s more European if they wanted to just make it European roots they should’ve just called it train Sim in Europe but that’s just what I’ve noticed. Oh one more thing actually arm if you take any train from New York Penn Station to Sunnyside there is a pretty broken overhead wire power pole that literally cuts into your train and it’s not on the older route it’s not in long island I’m gonna doublecheck this but how did this happen? I think all the dumb as I took the original route from train Sim world and slapped on the new bit and called it a day. If all these issues are from PlayStation four and Xbox, one from 2014 to 2017 that generation just do two different routes, then one for the series X and PlayStation 5 one for Xbox one and PlayStation for simple
Im beating myself up for buying this trash for 29,99£ This has to be the worst dlc form all what I have. Boring dull routes nothing to watch, just a A to B route. Broken low fps, stutter fest. Just waste of money

One time I was doing an Acela service from Boston to Providence and I had to crawl into Providence because of signals and train traffic.

I would absolutely love to see the peninsula corridor updated too, it's one of the best US routes with great rolling stock

The tunnels do not curve irl
I think the bell starting when a horn is blown is prototypical, not sure but it seems to be the case with the BBLs

Pretty accurate depiction of NYP. Commuted to/from there for the better part of a decade prior to Covid.

Same here. I thought the Keystone Corridor would make the most sense. Also, did they raise the speeds on the line from 110 to 125mph yet?

i think they got the weekend schedule traines run every two hrs on weekends or that long on Sundays

Wish they would put AI LIRR, not sure if u can put it in through modding. Ik you can make custom modded scenarios.
