- The second offering for Northeast Corridor action is now available for TSW3 (next to Boston-Providence). This time Sunnyside Yd to Newark Intl is reused from TSW2020 and the only truly new portion is Newark Intl to Trenton with Amtrak and NJT running. Busiest passenger line in America? DTG don't seem to think so...

It's such a shame, man. You can tell there's a lot to like about this route, from all of the trains being quite well-made, the signals finally working properly, and the route itself being well-designed for the most part. It's just the incredibly rushed nature of the timetable and the minimal effort put into the New York area in general that kills it. They did so much right, yet failed to make the busiest route in America feel... busy.

I greatly appreciate and respect your unbiased unfiltered and honest opinion on this route. 39.99$ is really stretching it as far many of us are concerned
I’m so fuckin sick of DTG. They ban and delete comments critical of them on their live feed. I pray for a new company to come along to counter DTG. First chance I get I’m jumping ship. I have bought anything since initial release of the new train sim 3, won’t give them money for their cash grab. I still like train sim classic tho. Sad.

now as for the NJ Transit stuff, I like the Multilevel horn and bell, only issue I have with it is that the destination board text is too small
36:06 The area over on the right side is the main PATH storage and maintenance facility for their trains, and the part on the left (next to the main tracks) would be where mainly ballast cars or stored NJT trains would be sitting. Also, that yard near Linden at 29:24 is called Stiles Yard and is almost always completely empty now except for the occasional line of ballast hoppers.
Pains me that the NJT Morrisville Yard isn't even featured, literally 3 miles west of Trenton Transit Center

The lack of ai trains have nothing to do with performance. It was because this route was rushed and self imposed deadlines meant they made an inaccurate njt timetable. 1/3 of all the njt services are deadhead/yard services.
If this was a British or German route, the route wouldn't be in a poor state
There's plenty to complain about with German routes too regarding accuracy, but the biggest issue is just that DTG can't be bothered to build a route properly and carefully. The errors they make and let slide are ridiculous! Roads floating 5 metres in the air, houses on hills being tilted because they are aligned with the ground and not the horizon, broken road traffic, missing scenic landmarks...
It's frustrating, because if this was TS Classic, you could at least fix those errors yourself, but in TSW you are stuck with what they give you. Their low standards and lack of care when route-building is why I just don't care for TSW anymore.

I didn't buy this route, I don't buy anything the "D-Day" on tw3 anymore because I know that DTG is incapable of doing things correctly.
It's still not over, there's still something important missing, we're tired of it, they have the best train simulator and it's screwing up everything.

I just noticed that everything goes in the same way that you did from Sunnyside, and there is no overhead lines where you passed the stopped Amtrak Train.
Round Tag K5LA On The ALP-46. That’s Normal Volume Exterior. Most Are Restricted. Some Aren’t. The Unrestricted Ones Sound Like AEM-7’s That Had Big Bore’s. Great Review Wish I Kept TSW To Get This.
The one from the TSW was Newark International Airport-New Rochelle with a short CSX Branch Line
Yes they all used to have EMD Mechanical bells when they where delivered. All but one have E Bells now.
What I love is DTG will add a lot of different things to Passenger Service timetables and routes but NOT to Freight, I don't own any of the Amtrak DLC's but just seeing it here Tell's me that everything Amtrak has probably runs on here but take Sand Patch CSX route for example and all you see is CSX No other power like BNSF NS or even UP, does DTG not understand that's what freight needs and not just passenger service. These are major reasons why this game suffers. I only live 30 mins from Philadelphia and can already tell you DTG's must have used pictures from 3 different time decades as this isn't 100% 2020 or higher in Trenton alone. I will say the area looks much like Trenton and that has to do with how all the trees are which are 100% accurate to the area at hand but track work is off it's Not that clean and when I say clean, I mean straight track Nope not a thing known in Trenton.
The loudest noise in Trenton is from whatever is going on at the "Cure Insurance Arena" I went couple years ago to see Korn, Chevelle, Type O Negative Live and can tell you the prison only 300yds away was going insane when we left from hearing the music which is the same distance to Trenton Station. Hmm No "Hamilton Station" that's a nice station. Princeton Junction looks nothing like what it looks in game and that's what I'm talking about DTG's used 3 different Decades on this route, which New Brunswick station is a great example to Princeton as they are years apart looking out of any time frame you pick. That construction area behind the Main Station of New Brunswick in real Life now has buildings there but DTG's has it as a plain lot compared to Princeton which is 12 miles down track looks out of place to here, Time frames are out of place. For now I really enjoy this route. Lots of new trains. The Acela is really nice and the ALP46 with the Bombardier cars feels heavy

Being from Jersey, I'll admit the route they built here looks great. One of my ex-girlfriends lives in Rahway, and having took the train there a lot, I can say with confidence they got it SPOT ON. Now if only they could manage something as simple as getting the correct horn for NJ Transit equipment. Just watch a freakin' railfan video, it ain't right!
Re: pricing. I sympathize but no-one gets stung worse than the UK (DTG's homeland!) with the new pricing.
Just a question are the UP heritage logos MKT, Mopac, CNW, SP, Western Pacific and Rio Grande available in the livery editor or is it just the vanilla heritage SD70ACes and that is it?
Just like every other American Route, rushed. How is there missing cantnary at Sunnyside yard and an whole pole in the middle of the track when u come out the tunnel going into Sunnyside.

I will be extremely sad when the amfleet cars go they are the best they should have just keep the amfleet cars and just do a full remodel on the inside i personally think the outside of amfleets is the best looking cars out even being decades and decades old

Its annoying that this game can't shine due to sharing with Xbox. I guarantee this route would look so much better if it didn't have to be cross compatible with Xbox and ps4
What do you mean can't shine due to xbox or ps4? Each dlc is built to next gen standards and then scaled back for ps4 and xbox one users. Last gen consoles aren't holding the game back

I'm afraid to buy this because the last NYC route has bugs up the @$$. Didn't even play that one for more than a couple of days before I gave up.

Yeah I'm not spending $75 just so I can get the bundle. Fucking DTG, they can kiss it. I can buy 2 FULL GAMES that are one hell of a lot more fun than being bored driving a train. About time someone made a new sim. I develop in Unreal Engine 5, maybe I should get started.
Good job on the rolling stock and the route scenery looks pretty good for the most part…
But it’s ridiculously dead. And I love how they load up German and UK routes with freight and passenger stuff but US can only ever have one or the other on a route. It’s complete garbage, and the safety systems have something wonky going on.
Could’ve been a good route if they put even 50% effort. I mean half the route was already done. They haven’t even attempted to fix any of it.

The reason is basically an inflation and soaring energy prices that has been driving the price for basic goods through the roof in Europe. In other words, thank Putin and sanctions.
The quality of the route though... Not good. To be honest, I did download some old routes to see the difference in quality. The newer ones are failing, meaning they are worse than original SPG for example. Plus I have given up on passenger stuff, I have noticed that quality and customisation wise I have better experience on freight routes rather than passenger.
Even more annoying, is that the recycled old content and slapped a $40 price tag on it. I really hate DTG's business model and I don't tend to purchase any of their addons for that reason. However, I do want to research this route, as I'd love to have the whole northeast corridor. There isn't a whole ton of content for TSW3 yet.

This has a second slower alarm that goes off after the airport and stops the train but will not let you continue, absolutely no information on this and no manual, tutorials are ridiculously vague and mention nothing about alert systems or anything.

Not sure how you're getting that from the comments. The complaint is that the US stuff they make is half-assed. They do so much of it really well, but then they seem to lose interest and leave the world they create feeling deserted and janky.
Have you tried it since the latest patch? It's on sale for Playstation owners. Wondering if it's worth it now @ $31.99.
