When i watch your tours its like im watching my future as i act exactly the same with all my fish , i currently have about 10 tanks up and running with the normal range of tropicals in them and a few larger tanks with a Oscar and buttikoferi + the normal plecs etc but i have just got a breeding pair of Jags ( something ive always wanted ) along with a entire fish room of tanks , so now ive got another 18 tanks to fill as well :)

hi andy quick question douse your male d ovii go of his food in breeding mode as mine has he was eating like a champ now he is not feeding I feed mine pellets he is only 7 inch at the min also is digging like jcb lol made a big pile outside his log home cheers mate
Dan Howard My male Dovii doesn't feed as well with fry in the tank. He goes into aggressive mode and is more interested in attacking any one who goes near the tank.

William X A male green terror would be fine in that tank, beautiful colours and a good wet pet when kept alone. I think your tank is a little to small for a adult Amphilophus sp.

Caleb Mayo substrate type not to important, any type of grit or gravel will do. I think its best to keep your flowerhorns divided. You can never 100% trust a flowerhorn.
We need more vids. Maybe I should film my guys. People are amazed at how aggressive my fish are. I had a Oscar that would attack everything and smashed his own tank, plus 4 heaters, killed 10 fish etc. Unfortunately he jumped out of his tank. Now I have a baby JD that's crazy aggressive and will bite rocks, filters etc and myself when cleaning his tank. I decided to get a couple of blood parrots (yes I know) and one is attacking everything including fully grown bn plecos...O I almost forgot, I have guppies that will bite me as well lol. Of course everyone is in different tanks
Hello. I have been keeping Mbuna specific for a good while now, but am thinking seriously of the change to Americans. Watched your video and quite enjoyed it.. Awesome fishkeeping sir ! I've got my 540gallon DIY plywood and glass tank that houses my Africans, but will hopefully soon house the Americans. Not sure whether to make a predator tank or Severum and Red Hook and Geophagus tank ? I do like the Jacks and Convicts and Firemouths and GTs though. Im hitting the sub button for you and would sure appreciate some of your insight ! Thanks

Your 240 will look good with that stock list. I'm just keeping the Festae for now and see how it goes. When they breed I will remove the spawn to save all the aggression when they hatch. Don't want Hundreds of Festae any way lol.
Hi Andy, Changed up a bit and would love your advice. Actual tank size, 7'x22"x22". I have four Juv. Festae growing out in a 40 breeder 36x18x16", lots of cover and plants, about 2-3". One is for sure a male. They are getting along well after three weeks. If they continue to do well I intend on putting them all in the big tank. Wondering about dither/target fish. Current thoughts on choices: Giant Danio group of ten; Sailfin Pleco; Syno. Decorus. Any advice on stocking with the Festae would be great. I am not trying to breed them. Thank you very much for your help! Jim

Have you heard of North Fin fish food ? it should be a UK product and really good.
I've never tried it.

I have read that cichlids are capable of harems but I think they flourish with pair bonds. Keep us updated.
