Listening to your own voice is unnerving. I'm curious what your favorite wet pet is. I'm considering switching my(US) 75 gallon aquarium to a wet pet tank. Been checking out a lot of the Amphilophus species. I'm liking the Barred Midas. I want something with a great mix of color and personality. My Vieja synspilum in my larger tank have great color but they are so skittish and hide.
Male Trimac very interactive with keeper. Most Amphs make good wet pets. Dovii and Umbee get way to big. Haitiensis- Black nasty make good wet pets but still get quite big 16 inch
I have enjoyed many of the Amph videos I've seen. They look like some real characters. I love the look of your hatiensis. Frustrated with constantly growing out fish though. Afraid of bloat with black nasties too. That may be pushing it too much in a 75 but it's a possibility.

My left arm saw half the paper-towel roll. Central American's are my own favorite; and even more so than the dovii, - I personally think them prettier, just as personable, and aggression matched-with antics any dog-lover

A Tabish The holes cut in the dividers are all guess work. Sometimes I get it wrong. To small is better, as its easy to just trim a bit more off. Thank you for watching.
Festae pair are in a 5ft 100uk gal. All Festae originate from oddball express UK, or Lincs fish uk. Imported from cota or rapps. Some of the small ones are home bred.

BigSteveWhacko Thanks for the comment. All my tanks are filtered separately. I have 4 tanks running on Fx5's, two tanks have sumps, the rest have large internals. Any filter will do as long as its big enough.

I've got a 55g as a grow out tank with 2 GT 1s about 4" the other 2-1/2" & the other 3-1/2"... with a tiger oscar that's about 3-1/2 inch they are fine & everything is going well but when they mature will the GT gang up on the Oscar? + what's the growth rate of the GT at what they are now to fully mature.. sorry for bothering you but you obviously know your stuff & just wondered if you could share some knowledge!! +Michael Cullen male GT's should hit 10inch in about 3 to 4 years and continue to improve with age, getting thicker and thicker. you will probably end up with a pair and they will give your Oscar a hard time.

Cyano/true texas are actually not too common in the U.S. either. You see them a lot in pictures, and some hybrids in lfs. For a true texas we are likely to get from a reputable source too. But good eyes and judgement can tell a true texas. But forget the holding a sellers hand shit. There are a lot of differences vs the carpinti.

Have you tried putting dithers in the motos tank? In my opinion that really helps to minimize tension between pairs.
Fishkeeper47 there tank is to small for dithers, they wouldn't last 5 minutes.
