The new recipe is here! Some of you requested this one😊 Hope you'll enjoy it! Try these pancakes if you are up for a challenge🥞💪🏻 (P.S. I said I was sharing a cake using brown butter this week, but I needed to change the plan since the oven was not working properly.)
Last year I did so many recipes for Japanese soufflé pancakes and I did come close, but never was it this effortless with your method and recipe. Thank you so much for your video. All your tips and pacing helped this come together so much more seamlessly than before. I'm excited to finally have success with these at home! ❤
I love your method of mixing it and piping the pancakes into the pan. I've made them before a few times at home and the flavor is wonderful but they didn't fluff up as big as yours. Thanks for sharing your secrets. I will try them!
So I tried this today and I wasn't expecting much but gosh, I love it! I replaced the cake flour to all purpose flour because that's all I have. I didn't change the amount. It ended so well! Just the pancake alone is heavenly❤️
Thanks for all the tips, Aya! In the past, I have made Japanese soufflé pancakes, but semi-successfully. Will try your recipe and techniques! I can see that having the right kitchen tools matter. Considering purchasing a nonstick griddle pan that has a flat surface for easier flipping. 🥞
Wow~, looks delicious!!🤩 It`s so fluffy. And it seems easy to make.👏👍 And water and bake! I have never baked them in layaers.😲Thank you for teacuing me!! I`ll try making it next time.🤗
Soufflé pancakes were invented in Hawaii, by chef Nathan Tran in 2009, at Cream Pot restaurant in Waikiki. Japanese chefs "stole" his creation in 2016. Just FYI. Many brunch/breakfast places in Hawaii also make it, but not called it Japanese. It's an American dish. Nice video recipe and instructions. Great work!
@@Punkyrooster6 No, Japanese didn't, they improved quality control of cars, while Americans added built-in obsolescence to increase profits. But your example misses the point, because the Japanese don't claim to have invented the car. In contrast, Japanese chefs do claim creation of Soufflé pancakes, without crediting its Hawaiian origin. That's unethical.
Welcome back sweetheart I hope you’re are all doing well especially with your move into your new home and I send lots of cuddles 🥰 while we’re having a yummy breakfast with your Japanese fluffy soufflé pancakes 🥞 sorry I’m talking with my mouth full 😂 Aussie gal is in the classroom pen in one hand project book in the other sipping black tea 1 sugar and no milk with our beautiful teacher Aya ❤
I’ve read that the Japanese call their pancakes “hotcakes”, but I’ve always wanted to compare your opinion of the difference between pancakes and hotcakes with what I have read on the internet. I’ve read that while both are fluffy, but can also be crispy, the difference is that pancakes are firmer, thinner, wider, and brown more evenly than, but not as much as, hotcakes. Now, for hotcakes, I have read that they are thicker, denser, narrower, smaller, browner, don’t brown as evenly as pancakes, and deflate when put under the slightest pressure from a condiment or utensil.
I haven't tried it but I'm curious! The pancakes should need some level of glutens to hold the body structure, but you might be able to mix them both. if you don't mind a slightly heavier texture!
In recipes, heat is typically divided into low/med/high, right? So, on a 1 to 9 scale, 1-3 is low, 4-6 is medium, 7-9 is high. If a recipe calls for low-med heat, it's going to be 3 or 4 that you want to set it at, and med-high will be 6 or 7. BUT keep in mind that not all stoves are created equal, and some will be hotter or colder than others. For example, I set my stove at 2 when I'm poaching an egg, and it's perfectly cooked in 4 minutes. When I'm staying at my parents' home, to poach an egg in 4 minutes, I have to set the element at 4. You may even have a stove where one element is hotter or colder than the others. So when a recipe calls for low, it's typically a temperature at which something can cook or simmer undisturbed for a long time without burning. Only you will know which setting that is for your specific stove.

For sure! Cooking it with a griddle makes it easier to make souffle pancakes successful. It may be a good investment if you make it sometimes!😊

Henry Ford made the modern car; Japanese made it better.

Is it stick on the stainless steel pan? Or we have to use nonstick pan?
Had them in Japan and Malaysia and they were like cake in terms of structure and very eggy tasting when following the recipe
maybe try adding some vanilla essence to the batter to reduce the eggy taste! ☺

Wonderful & informative video, thank you! Assuming you don't double this recipe?

Mmm, looks delicious 😋, can one use almond flour instead of cake flour?

Yummm. Thank you
This is one of the hardest things I've ever tried. You cannot step away for even one second. Must watch very closely.
Where is your electric egg whip from?
The hand mixer? I got the immersion blender with a whisk attachment a while ago on Amazon, the brand name is utalent.
This is a perfect way too practice our folding skills ❤
This is why I stopped making pancakes, theres too much sweat😂😂
I don’t think 🤔 they’re too brown as mine is going to be covered in cream, strawberries and maple syrup yum 😋 xx
👍🏻
😍😍
Lütfen tariflerinizi malzemeleri ile birlikte Türkçe'ye çevirebilir misiniz?
i’m gunna try and veganize this recipe using aquafaba
😋🥞🍽️
My batter came out too runny :(
I have tried to make these 16 times and failed each time. Next time I will follow your directions. I hope it will work 😞
Did it work?? 👀
yes but what is low heat, my stove measures in 1 to 9

There is no japanese pancake !
They like to lable everything japanese ! Just to much !
Origin of pancakes is ancient Greece !
I liked this video, but had serious trouble following the pronounciation of the English
The recipe and steps are on description
Use the captions.
I guess she is japanese, so i think her english is already great
🙄
Those look amazing!
