    Funny to hear Coffman exhaust mentioned. Gary Coffman was friends with my bro in law in the 70s when Gary was making 2 stroke dirt bike exhaust system in the warehouse across from the Westminster Mall in Cali. I was 14 yrs old. I rode a yz360 with a 401 flat track engine with a pipe Gary made. My whole family had Gary's handmade pipes back then. Bikes didn't come with chambered pipes back then.

    Most sport bike motors aren’t over 13:1 static compression .Mr12 which has a less octane rating than e85 but it’s also oxygenated like it makes better power on stock NA motors.the power with e85 is coming more so from the cool oxygenated charge not so much the higher octane because most of these stock NA motors can’t utilize it.now boosted motors or high compression 14:1 plus motors love e85.that higher octane plus cool charge helps prevent detonation and allows more ignition timing.But for a average rider the extra fuel and maintenance(fuel system) needed for E85 isn’t worth it on a stock motor.not including the risk of ring wash which will damage the engine if a novice doesn’t know anything about e85 or any alky.Your supposed to change the oil more often because of it...cold start problems etc it has a lot of cons...but a great fuel if you have experience!!

    I'm new to modifying bikes, but I have tuned multiple vehicles, including my own, on e85. Shouldn't e85 give you way more? Do bikes not allow you to advance timing? We would typically see 10x the gains you are but it's not gonna happen unless you're advancing the timing with it.

    • @trey56tre2

    • @chrisyboi620
      @chrisyboi620 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@trey56tre2 Ethanol allows you to advance the timing (start the ignition later in the compression cycle) because of its thermal stability(higher octane). Pump gas is sparked earlier because the pressures and temperatures within the cylinder can cause pre-ignition, or detonation. Both of which will destroy any engine. The speed that the flame propagates through the air/fuel mixture isn't much of a factor. Again though, this is from my experience in tuning cars, with larger displacements and lower compression ratios then bikes. So take what I say with a grain of salt.

    I'm seeing a lot of ignorant comments down below. Why would you stretch a 112 whp bike? Well seeming as how this is a DRAG RACING youtube channel I'm 99% sure the owner drag races his mt09. The mt09 as you can see makes over 60 ft lbs of torque starting from a low rpm range and is hard to keep the front end down. Just because you dont necessarily see a lot of people dragging an mt09 doesn't mean people dont. Why do people stretch 105 whp 600's? Because maybe they like their bike and they like drag racing and ultimately streching a bike allows you to launch much harder than stock wheelbase aka faster et's. Jesus some of you are dense

    Cmon Chris. Why are you guys not using Lambda? Its 2023 guys! Lets go! Lambda will always be easier to tune across different fuels. Otherwise you have to guess the best AFR and you were STILL lean with the E85. Stoich for true E85 is around 9.8-1. WOT would be even lower. As we know pump E85 is not 85% its usually around 70% and can be less. So with all the variance its much better to tune with Lambda.
