Hi Charles, great video. I discovered Wales this year and it's been fantastic! Had one of my best seasons ever. It's fired an absolute passion within me! Will be back fishing there very soon.
Greetings from Tennessee. I mainly fly fish in Arkansas, United States on the Spring, Little Red, and Norfork Rivers. I'm checking out trout fishing videos from Europe. You have some beautiful streams. I'd love to fish in Wales someday.
Being a new angler (and still not caught a trout on the fly yet lol) I would love to meet up with someone on our waters under the MTAA club and be shown how to fish grayling while the trout season is closed. I may only catch a cold and a tree but I’d really like to explore this part of the fishing and what is different.
No grayling present on the MTAA waters, but well worth you trying further downriver on Ospreys club or Glamorgan anglers water. Garry Evans Tackle have day tickets and can offer you some grayling tips & suitable flies 👍
I cut my fly fishing teeth on Llyn Brenig, i didn't know about the wild fishing we have in Wales until i returned after living away and fishing the likes of Rutland, Grafham and Bewl. I picked up my rod again and joined Hoylake Fly Fishers, an English club with all it's fishing in N Wales, an absolute embarrassment of riches fo so little money. It was also through Ceri, Parf and Hywel with this TH-cam channel that we started fishing other wild venues in N Wales and quite honestly i haven't looked back. I'd love to fish Canada, Iceland, Patagonia, New Zealand and Norway, but quite honestly Wales has my fishing heart. Nice vest too Charles!
Hi David, I have been fortunate enough to have made 8 separate trips to the Canadian Rocky Mountains and have caught Cutthroat, Rainbows, Brook and Bull trout in phenomenal scenery. Having said that it is in my home country like you where I am most content and would not swap any Canadian river or mountain lake for what we have in Wales.
Great to hear David! Glad we have inspired you to get out & explore our wonderful country. I have to say, after fishing some of those places you mention, Wales is right up there for quality wild fishing 🏴 🎣
I'm lucky enough to have some of the finest rivers in Wales on my doorstep and I never take them for granted. Brilliant video Fishing in Wales.
Cheers Luke!
