- We join Ceri Thomas and Alan Parfitt on a mission to explore the wild streams of the Brecon Beacons / Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. The fishing is available at a modest cost through the Fishing Passport and offers fast and furious action for wild trout on light fly tackle.

You are very fortunate to have access to to these lovely streams, fight to keep them, look at the damage done in England, good luck to you.
Excellent, informative video. Much more enjoyable to catch a few WBT in beautiful natural surroundings than to “ bag up” with large numbers of ravenous stocked rainbows!
Thanks Keith! WBT are great fun on the light rods. They have some lovely beats on the Passport Scheme.
This is a really nice video.
2022 we went on a trip and spent five days in Wales. Took the bus to Betws-y-Coed and made a short hike.
I fell in love with Wales and hope to return with my fly rod.
Great video! Lovely 👍
Great video, with some amazing fish from those lovely small streams, cheers
Thanks Eliot, those Welsh streams are great fun to fish.
Beautiful wild Brownies stunning locations, really enjoyed watching, thanks for sharing gents, tight lines.
Thanks Chris😎
Lovely wild fish in those small, wild streams...real beauties...very enjoyable to watch...what a cracking day!...such great access and value too ...thanks for sharing Ceri and Alan
Thankyou Ceri and Alan. Very stimulating. I can't wait to try these small streams
Fun to watch from start to end. I fished the Honddu as a boy, with my father, who was the world's worst angler. I knew the Nant Bran as well. There are now more fish than I can remember. I now live in New Zealand. Here we are losing our low ground streams to water abstraction for irrigation. They claim it's for the good of the country, but who profits? Not us ordinary workers who cannot travel far to fish.
Thank you Jim! There are some real surprises in those streams around Brecon, as well as high numbers of small fish. Great fishing.
Some beautiful fish in those streams - enjoyed seeing the video - many thanks
Thank you, its great fun exploring the small streams 🏴🎣
Thanks Ceri and Alan for a very entertaining and informative video. Beautiful Welsh streams with some stunning wild brownies. Quite magical. Cheers 👍
Thank you Scott!
Looks a lovely river to fish

Thanks Luke!
Get yourselves on the R&GFF stretch of the Alyn, very similar to this.
What a stunning place and lovely markings on the fish.
I'll have to check it out David!
Great video guys, some lovely spots to fish, your outlook on fishing is the way it should be, all about enjoying the day, some cracking Brown Trout all the same!
Top video well done boys :)
Cheers Martin 😎👍
😊😊
Nice video, I was thinking of getting a chest pack like that but it looks a little bulky, does it get in the way at all when casting ?
its a great pack to be fair, fine for casting
lovely, what flies did you use - patterns and sizes?
commented and carried on watching to the end .... 😂
Looking at trying this stream out, can't see any parking location, any ideas guys? Thank you
You will get a full map with the designated parking areas and boundaries when you book the beats online with the Fishing Passport.
With the split shot how far from the nymph do you put it
Usually a foot above the fly. Helps pin things down with less chance of tangles or hookup on the bottom
