I asked my husband recently if he knew what the first rap song was, I can't remember what he said, but it definitely wasn't blonde. I don't think he believed me either.
Cyndi caught everyone's attention with that shock of orangey hair and her goofiness, but don't let that distract you from the fact that she has some pipes on her. Yes indeed, that was the girl's anthem of the day. Also, her mom plays her mom in the video. ☺ In case you haven't already, here are a few ladies to check out. Alanis Morisette, Tori Amos, Annie Lennox- Eurythmics, Kate Pierson/Cindy Wilson with the B-52s, Debby Harry with Blondie, Heart, Lindsey Stirling, En Vogue, Chrissie Hynde with the Pretenders, Donna Summer.
