In response to hotdogs, as for young , we're not talking about young children, we're talking about 20year Olds etc . . If you give a hand out , they have no incentive. When they get hungry and need to take accountability for themselves, they will work . In addition, apples don't fall far from the tree . It is likely I am much than you and know life long before the handouts. When I was young jobs were very difficult as a young person to get . We worked very hard and for real short money and long hours . And thankful to get . I had always worked for myself. My child was raised properly and was very discipline and has done very well .I taught my child you were owed nothing from society. My child was taught grit and works very hard . In addition you should hope your child does half as well . People don't want to hear the truth. I can only say too bad . Most people achieve because of hard work . I n my day a 20 year old would not be living in their parents home . They were not coddle, rather prepared for life. To give you Dogg some perspective my grandparents would be 142 and 137 years old and my parents both over 100 years old . Tough medicine
I'm totally on the side of American workers I'm a mill operator and my job is very physical dangerous dirty and takes a lot of mental focus. So I know where the common man comes from only making enough to survive. But I will point out that the industrial revolution was powered by a lot of immigrants. Irish German Polish Italian and many others. We all came from somewhere.
I don't think people in earlier part of 20th were excited to work in factories and sweat shops . They were hungry, let the young go hungry. You'll straighten them out .

Remember when they were pushing that everything online should just be free. etc. etc.etc. If we care about our young people, we need to train them and some of these young people need to realize that they have fallen far below what they could be as human beings and if they love their country, they need to change .

Where are these people at? The military doesn’t have qualified people in place, just look at the crew on the USS GETTYSBURG attacking 3 of our planes and shot down two. 3 months of training that’s it.

I tried to warn everyone, but no matter who won the election things are just fulfilling the BIBLE.

There’s no incentive to work in manufacturing and construction industries anymore, you can’t just not afford to live on the pay you can’t communicate with the people on the job.💸👽
Not even the managers of your own kind anymore. 😂 What and who indoctrinated them is beyond me
It is called responsibility, whether it be financial, physical, mental or a combination of all of the above, use it or lose it. Your loss is my gain, only the few with open eyes and ears will comprehend this philosophy.
spent my whole life working 10 hour days & Saturday!
no one has the BRAINS to work in manufacturing anymore
it's ALL falling apart... hang on!
These people do not want to work 40 or more. They are apathetic because no way to get ahead no matter how many hours they work.
Its a flip flop slap to our collective faces
He flip flopped on abortion too
Maybe not. Recognize that our education system has been sabotaged. Consider the POSSIBILITY that improvements need some outside help.
Do not worry...things are still getting worse!
I run a construction related manufacturing crew and I just cant get young Americans to even apply for a job.
Most of my younger guys live in Mexico and cross each day for work. Most of the guys who live on the California side are older and near retirement age.
Another interesting happening of late. "They" officially named the American Bald Eagle the "official" bird of America. Did you know the eagle has been the symbol of fascism around the world for hundreds of years? The foreboding is intense and right in our face! Peace
In my life time here in the southern mo, I remember 15 below..my dad worked for the state hwy dept..so I remember it.
Sounds like America falling apart!

I believe you are right Travis.

I agree that we should have these visas but definitely take in those with the skills and talents
But I think if a company does use this HB1 visa they should have to equally train young Americans to have the skills
The companies can benefit but they should be required to invest in American talent
To WHOM it may concern:
NOTHING is what it seems. I could be wrong .. but would you place faith in what they say/do?

I need to have trade schools in our high school we can have people knowing whether they want to go to these trades or not
Someone that says both AI is summoning a demon and saying we need to become transhuman to integrate with it should say it all.
You are very wise, Travis.
I don't think people in earlier part of 20th were excited to work in factories and sweat shops .
They were hungry, let the young go hungry. You'll straighten them out .
That's ridiculous. Let them go hungry ? How about raise them right ? Take accountability and teach them to do the same
40 hours a week is a part time job for most. The majority of my Career as a construction pipe welder was 7 days a week and 12 to 16 hours a day. I loved every minute of it
I'm a Field Service Engineer. We work 7am till about 9pm seven days a week when we are out on a job. Time is money in the manufacturing world. Been doing this for a foreign multi-national for over 24 years now.
I don’t wanna work that much. I never love work enuff to put my health at risk
@improvisedsurvival5967 I never considered this work. It has always been playtime for me.
Work was in high school, mopping floors and waxing floors all night in big grocery stores. Then going to school all day.
@ 7 days a week 12 to 16 hours don’t leave any time for the family or social life or hobbies or whatever. Work and sleep. I don’t it trucking. It sucks you hate your life in the long run. 8 hrs 5 days is enuff. They need to pay more.
Dude I’ve barely got my wood stove going, just mainly keeping the coals going, but I’m literally sweating in my cabin with windows open
This younger gen can't put their phones down long enough to work.
TRUTH
They won't let children work anymore for the family business, "insurance won't allow it". What they have done to us is all by design.
Heck no they can’t. Yesterday I saw at least three different people driving with their face down in their phones!!
This is just one of the things we are up against just driving down the road. Irritates me to no end.

These social engineers made these young people to be this weak! Remember, when they were coddled in school and through Covid they were given money but they didn’t have to pay their rent?
Remember when they were pushing that everything online should just be free. etc. etc.etc.
If we care about our young people, we need to train them and some of these young people need to realize that they have fallen far below what they could be as human beings and if they love their country, they need to change .
Ohio here, IF IT'S ICEY STAY HOME! Get gloves, layer clothes, and put a blanket in your car. Solid waterproof shoes! Stock up on car oil, antifreeze, etc. Get your antifreeze checked, especially if you've put in water. Get drinking water 3 gal per person and pop top can food to eat out of the can. A kerosene heater and plan to be in a central room .

What has the government done to mitigate America’s laziness; instead, people are given free handouts & tax credits. Perhaps more work programs similar to the CCC are needed for the American workers.
For several years, we’ve made it too easy for able bodied ppl to stay at home and collect a check….a friend’s 19 yo daughter, now indoctrinated as a liberal (yes, there’s same on both sides) refuses to work, spends more time on her phone during the day researching ways to try and get some kind of disability from the state but expects her parents to keep working🙄🙄

We have only been into Winter for a little over a week
We are building a chip plant in Arizona and can’t find people competent to run it that’s why they want to bring in workers!
This is a bunch of crap. They want cheap labor, long hours, and easy to threaten workers.
One of the worst things about visas is that they pay no taxes on the employee at least the illegal with a fake ID pays taxes
Legal, capable but let's make Americans jobs first
No jobs for anyone till every American has a job that wants one.

Heaven help you if you get a plumber, repair man, electrician mechanic or even a doctor under 35. There are exceptions but it is rare in my experience. A lot of them are sloppy ,careless and it is almost as if they have trouble concentrating for any length of time. Is it just me ??
Nope. The electric company has repeatedly endangered my life by sending children and DEI dunces to my home. One killed a huge group of pines that now threaten to fall on me and they refuse to do anything.
Hence why we need skilled workers from outside the US. Americans are not doing the job.
There’s a lot of H1B visa holders in the physician world, and I can say as a recruiter working with physicians, that the crops of doctors that are being turned out over the last several years do not want to work hard and so the H1B visa doctors will get a serious looking at.
