Probably. MasterChef contestants tend to keep in touch with each other, especially if they were in the top few (so you spent a LOT of time getting to know them).
I really love MC Canada/Australia compared to the US version. Try to watch Masterchef Professionals, it's so good, no dramas and screaming. The contestants were professional chefs, and the judges also showcase their skills. They always respect and help each other. I love them to the point when I'm getting sad because someone was leaving the kitchen.
Yeah I know Jeremy is Half Filipino too....but I prefer Adobo rather than Kare Kare....We all know that Adobo is the No.1 special dish of Filipinos right?😊
My Gr5 teacher is Filipino, and during a catholic event called lent, we’re supposed to give up something that we really love or cannot be separated apart from. During lent, he gave up rice, he loves rice. And during lunch, some of the girls went up to him with rice and you should know the rest.
Often they finish with time to spare (sometimes a few minutes, others maybe only 30 seconds) but the producers make them act frantic for the final countdown to create suspense and tension. In actual fact, sometimes after the dishes are fully finished they take the presentation plates away for safety and shoot extra B-roll of them freaking out with a 2nd presentation plate for this purpose. Not to say that sometimes it does actually come down to the wire, but yeah... welcome to "reality" television
Dreamcatcher I’m not talking about seasoning the chicken and checking it, but referring to the fish sauce. Idk maybe it’s just me but I’ve never seen any non-Vietnamese dish with fish sauce; correct me if I’m wrong
I'm so proud of those Filipinos not because I'm a Filipino, but because a lot of Filipino chefs in the international kitchen are way too considerate to elevate Filipino dishes which aims to please foreign taste, yet sadly making the dish not-so-filipino. So presenting a Philippine dish here, win or lose, is such a great honor!
It could have been better if two really deserving cook will move up to finale. Not like this, Mary's given a lot of privileges that why she won. She's not deserving but she nicrle.
"You might have singlehandedly redefined Filipino cuisine with this dish." I do not want to hear that from a man who thinks all Asian cuisines are the same.
Veronica has a great morals that she got from her dad, from giving everyone ingredients that play to their strengths in a different episode to being honest
Someone cooked sinigang in Masterchef Australia a few years ago. But I remember the judges saying they would have liked the fat to be a crackling rather than gelatinous like the traditional Filipino sinigang. He didn't win.
