Cooking adobo without sarsa or sauce coming from soy sauce, vinegar and some soda or sugar to make it sweet ,sour and salty adobo that is a perfect adobo.
I think Matthew is the only Filipino there because he was born and raised in Makati by both Filipino parents. The other guy may have Filipino parents but he was born in Canada, he's practically local/native there. As a Filipino, I got curious and looked them up.
I've never heard let alone seen or taste quail adobo, but im dying of curiosity how it tastes. Also where can i find quail meat in PH i currently live in cebu for 6 months now there's no quail meat here.
Uh in the Philippines they use quail eggs where do you think they come from? Maybe not Cebu but in Luzon? Maybe no quail meat because of the need for eggs? Have you eaten kwek kwek? From those who sell find out where you can get quail meat!
Kare Kare, is no5 suppose to be spicy, but more peanutty and don't forget, krill paste for saltiness, why would another Asian, it will be great to be spicy, As a filipino cook, don't change the menu, you take the essences of the dish,
if youre a chef you know its competition and you need to elevate or to change some of from the original recipe just like the other chef adding flavor to every dish to make their own version
The degree of difficulty should be considered too. Fried quails and waffles is so common, anyone can make it in a heartbeat. Very simple breakfast food compared to beef brisket, and kare-kare with peanut sauce .
I dont like bagoong, i dont even want to taste it but if its needed in the dish, its incomplete without it. Like pinakbet and kare kare, its incomplete without bagoong
I dont understand how Mary can call herself a home cook when she has a cooking show aired on Australian TV - Mary Berry's Love to Cook. This seems a little unfair to the other cooks..... 🤔🤔😒😒
nope, beside what you said, you do not put dried bay leaf on bistek, on the other hand, you put dried bay leaf on adobo and sometimes tomatoes. Plus adobo have lots of garlic while bistek have lots of white onions. adobo is the best when you simmer it down to almost thick texture while you wont get that with bistek.

Cooking adobo without sarsa or sauce coming from soy sauce, vinegar and some soda or sugar to make it sweet ,sour and salty adobo that is a perfect adobo.
What ever did that guy cook is not adobo
Fresh waffle from fresh market hahahahaha the f 😂😂
I think Matthew is the only Filipino there because he was born and raised in Makati by both Filipino parents. The other guy may have Filipino parents but he was born in Canada, he's practically local/native there. As a Filipino, I got curious and looked them up.
Mabuhay to our two Filo chefs!!!
i love Mary's smile.
Kare Kare & Adobo ♥️👌🏻🥺🤤
I've never heard let alone seen or taste quail adobo, but im dying of curiosity how it tastes. Also where can i find quail meat in PH i currently live in cebu for 6 months now there's no quail meat here.
Uh in the Philippines they use quail eggs where do you think they come from? Maybe not Cebu but in Luzon? Maybe no quail meat because of the need for eggs?
Have you eaten kwek kwek? From those who sell find out where you can get quail meat!
@@ejapor3497 uh did i offend you or annoy you in any case? I'm sorry, you seemed sarcastic. Did i say something stupid? I apologize If so.
@@cardinalwilson8034, my apologies didn’t realize you are not Filipino! Us Filipinos take it for granted! I myself don’t eat quail or the eggs!
They put Mary in saafe place because the next challenge is really difficult... yeah its indeed a cooking show😂😂😂😂
how funny to think that they are not prepared to market some ingredients so they come up to a plan that the contestant will go to the market🤷😭😂
Kare-kare versus Adobo :) Proud Pinoy here
Kare Kare, is no5 suppose to be spicy, but more peanutty and don't forget, krill paste for saltiness, why would another Asian, it will be great to be spicy, As a filipino cook, don't change the menu, you take the essences of the dish,
if youre a chef you know its competition and you need to elevate or to change some of from the original recipe just like the other chef adding flavor to every dish to make their own version
Bro, we get your point, but remember it is a competition.
The degree of difficulty should be considered too. Fried quails and waffles is so common, anyone can make it in a heartbeat. Very simple breakfast food compared to beef brisket, and kare-kare with peanut sauce .
I don't know how to cook but I can make waffle and fried a chx easy
Mary looks so much like her mom! They have the same smile. 😅
3 asians losing to a white woman...who made a damn waffle i'm cryin🤣
I dont like bagoong, i dont even want to taste it but if its needed in the dish, its incomplete without it. Like pinakbet and kare kare, its incomplete without bagoong
I don't consider adobo as owned filipino dish. when we visit Mexico they have adobo also. mexican adobo
Master chief waffle edition😂😂😂
I dont understand how Mary can call herself a home cook when she has a cooking show aired on Australian TV - Mary Berry's Love to Cook. This seems a little unfair to the other cooks..... 🤔🤔😒😒
Kudos. Proud Pinoy 👏 🇵🇭
Wow! Nakakaproud naman for these Filipinos on the top 3
bistek is a beef adobo right? instead of vinegar you put kalamansi(citrus)
interesting way to put it. Can't say you're wrong because it technically is meat + soy sauce + acidity
Thin slice make a steak
nope, beside what you said, you do not put dried bay leaf on bistek, on the other hand, you put dried bay leaf on adobo and sometimes tomatoes. Plus adobo have lots of garlic while bistek have lots of white onions. adobo is the best when you simmer it down to almost thick texture while you wont get that with bistek.
I get so anxious watching when they have no lids on pots to expedite the cooking or water to boil.
go Filipinos chefs make the Philippines proud!!
People has to understand that the judges are professional not just bystanders claiming to be one.
They've got judges who owns their own branches with respectable reputation and the world of food doesn't just revolve around how complex it is or how savoury a dish is, sometimes they rate how simple yet different it is.
Mabuhey! I hope to visit your country someday coz I really like Filipino people kasi nakakatuwa sila!
ginisang Ginamos ahong lutuon kung makaapil ko ana.. xD hahaha
Quail adobo!? Dont know about that…
Right, it doesn't even look closed enough to adobo
Watching Masterchef Canada everyday from Morocco 🇲🇦
