Thank you so much for the advice. In the short time I've been watching your videos I have learned so much and through your inspiration I'm planning on opening my own Etsy shop. At my age I never thought I would be starting something new let alone a new business. Watching your tutorials I have fallen in love with wreath making and I'm getting better with each time. Thank you so much for showing me so much it's such a short amount of time. I do enjoy each and every one of your videos. Look forward to each new one.
Thanks so much for this sweet comment, June! So glad these videos have been helpful! I love hearing that you’ve fallen in love with wreath making, and are continuously improving! That’s great! Best of luck starting your shop!
Thx, Jenny! Your thoughts and ideas are always helpful. I've been open for about 5 1/2 months now and had been averaging just a sale a week. Although I am grateful for that, I had just voiced my concerns to my husband that maybe this isn't for me, as bad as I want it to work. But then the next day I made three sales that day. Maybe the Lord showing me and hinting to not give up yet? I don't know. It's a nice thought anyway. I have 23 sales and about half have left reviews, all 5 stars, so it's just really hard trying to figure out why there aren't more sales. I struggle with social media the most! All the best to you!
@@MsOdaga stick with it longer! Have you watched Jenny’s other videos re Etsy? She has great tips, ideas and reminders! Some people say it takes them over a year or two. I hope that’s not the case, but I’m willing to give mine more time. I wonder if shipping internationally might be worth it. I’d love to hear Jenny’s thoughts. Best of luck to you!
I don’t know that it’s my slow “season” but I’ve had a few slow days this week and I’m catching up on organizing my finances in Quickbooks and organizing my receipts, etc. I’m also trying to add a few new products and update photos:)
I wonder if other party decor type shops have noticed large drops in sales due to less gatherings? I would assume wedding decor, birthday, baby shower etc. would notice a drop in sales. I have a small etsy shop that focuses on baby shower decor but was on vacation mode for a significant amount of time...hoping I will notice a pick up in sales as more gatherings happen!
Oh I bet. Hopefully your shop will pick up soon! Have you watched my video about vacation mode? I give some tips about how to get going again after getting back from vacation mode. ❤️
Love this video just what I needed to feel encouraged
So glad this was encouraging!

That’s a good amount of sales and reviews! Better than my first year, if that helps. It’s so easy to get discouraged when sales are slow.
I know what you mean I've been open for about 2 months and had literally zero sales so far. Some days I feel like it isn't for me.
