Jenny, I love you so much, you are so genuine..... I am one of your VIPs. I have joined other groups in the past and I could tell they didn't care about what you were there to learn, they just wanted that fee every month..... Your not like that and I'm so grateful. Now with that said, I'm not selling on Etsy yet but I want too. You talk about how important the pictures are here and both in the group, I watched the last live Monday. I'm am horrible at taking pictures and even worse about posting content and I know I have to in order to get sales, it's just hard to do everything and do it all well. But I'm willing to learn and I want to grow and have an Etsy shop more than anything. So I'm willing to do what it takes. God bless 😊
Aww thanks so much, Kim! That means a lot 🥰. As for your photos, I would watch the training in the group about taking photos. I just use my phone, and portrait mode is my favorite for those nice crisp photos and a blurry background. Then brighten them up with the editing if you need to. Also, you can use a tripod and a time to get pics of you holding the wreath if you need to show the size of the wreath better. I do that all the time too. Sometimes it takes a lot of bad pictures to get some good ones, but it’s worth it!
Thank you for all the valuable tips. Not just anyone would be so candid about the mistakes that can occur. I appreciate everything you do for your following. It's nice to share a craft with friends , and I always come away with enthusiasm to try something new!
Same here!! Thanks so much Jenny for all the info I would never think of. Orrr- until it was too late. You are so interesting to listen to and I always learn something new. Have a great weekend!!
Interesting. I found you on social media. I loved the videos of the wreaths and bought both of the ones I saw. And I am a wreath maker! When I would check your etsy, I saw the same things all the time so I did stop checking. You are very good at analyzing your business and sharing it with others. And your wreaths are beautiful.
Thank you so much for posting these videos and sharing your experience and knowledge. I've learned so much from you! I just started my etsy shop a few months ago and i've found all your tips so helpful!! :)
Thank you so much Jenny for your fantastic info!!! I’ve been thinking bout opening a Etsy Shop for my wreath making too, I’m scared!!!!! Especially bout restocking!!!!!
Hi Jenny, this is truly helpful. I have been making wreaths since 2019. First just for family & friends. Now I sell them. Thank you so much for all your tips & valuable info. I love making wreaths. I'm not on Esty though I think I need a little more experience. God bless thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Jenny for all the tips. I actually have an Etsy shop for years now. Your tips would really help anyone who has an Etsy shop whether they are doing wreaths or anything else. I too have made some of these mistakes. But I also rely on my facebook business page and word of mouth. I actually sell more there than Etsy. Go figure!!! Anyways, I've always made wreaths, but for family, friends and myself. I've never made any to sell. But I'm thinking of going into this more. I really enjoy your wreaths and your videos. Thank you, Donna
Hi Jenny thankyou for being so candid about your business. We cant always think of everything and sometimes we just need to rest our brain. Don't beat yourself up. I would like to see you do some different and unique things just to show your audience that you can do something different. We tend to get stuck in a certain style pattern because we're too busy and it takes time to create something new. Best wishes I love your channel
Thanks so much! Yes, I do a lot more of the more difficult and unique designs inside my VIP group. But maybe I should do more of that here on my TH-cam channel as well. Thanks for the insight!
Thanks for watching! I talk all about that in my how to ship wreaths mini course. You can find more info about that here www.jennyswreathboutique.com/shipping
I'm guilty of these same mistakes. Some years I do better than others at keeping the shop stocked. I have also quit making a good seller because it was very tedious to make.😂
You’re honestly the best - clearly passionate about your craft and educating others to become great as well. I technically sold my first wreath today, but I happen to know the person and gifted it instead 😂 Clearly I’m not meant for sales. 😂
So glad this was helpful! I talked a little bit about my limited experience with craft shows in an older video I have here on TH-cam, but I think it depends. If you love them and they’re worth your time, I say go for it. Personally I prefer to just sell online.
It got more consistent after about a year and a half, but it didn’t make what I would consider a “full time income” until about year 3. It’s been consistent since then for the most part.
Jenny thank you for sharing when you say you go on social media do you tell them about your Etsy shop or are you just selling on social media I was a little confused I'm just learning all this stuff
All my marketing points back to my Etsy shop. I don’t make the actual sales on social media. I use it as free organic marketing. Hope that helps to clarify!
Hey Jenny loved the video…very helpful…have a Etsy shop but we have moved and I’m sorta just filling orders to locals until my craft room is set up. The one the I did not understand was posting on my email??? Not clicking …sometimes I’m thick 😳 I would love info on your VIP group please!! Thank you …❤️❤️❤️ Esther Griffin Classy Charm Wreaths
So glad this was helpful! For the email thing, you would set up a business email, get people onto your email list (they need to “opt” in for legal purposes) and then you send email to your whole list. You can learn more about the VIP group here www.jennyswreathboutique.com/vipgroup
Hello! You can grab the stock your shop workshop anytime. I have a spring one and a summer one so far. When I initially did them, I did 3 of the 6 trainings in the workshop live, but I recorded the lives. So the workshops are available to grab anytime now. I’ll have a fall one coming up sometime soon too. But you can see them at www.jennyswreathboutique.com/store
Hi! I’d love to have you as a student! I teach in detail all about wreath making there. It’s currently not open to new members, but it will be soon! You can join the waitlist so you don’t miss when I open the doors next! You can learn more about my wreath making VIP group here 👉🏼 www.jennyswreathboutique.com/vipgroup
That is the question isn’t it?? Getting this question so many times is one of the reasons I made the stock your shop workshop. I think it will be so helpful for you!
There’s a lot of different factors that go into it, and educated guesses. Staying on top of trends, seeing what sells best for your particular customer, getting the listing started off right, pictures, etc.
How do you develop an email list? I don’t have a website but I do use social media to sell. Etsy has not done. Nothing for my sales. You indicate you gave a discount through your Etsy shop to those who gave you their email. How do you do this in your Etsy Shop? Any assistance is appreciated.
I have a whole training on that inside my VIP group. But basically I offered a coupon in my shop, set up that coupon in my Etsy shop, and then when someone joined my email list I had that coupon emailed to them automatically. The coupon code was the incentive for them to sign up. Hope that makes sense!
Just one more question re the email list. Did you place your request to join your email group on your Facebook page? Where did they sign up and how did you tell Etsy to email them a coupon?
I am wondering after seeing your video today, how you have the time to do everything that you are doing. I know you are very organized....you have to be with all the value streams you have and then to do all of the buying, ordering, shipping, making and well...everything. I just don't see how you do this as one person. I see so many videos coming out by you and I understand that they are a value stream too. Videos get ads, and ads equate to money. Maybe it is time to go bigger and hire some wreath makers???
It’s all about focusing on the most important things first and getting those done. I don’t spend a lot of time on fluff. But I also love my job and that helps A LOT! As far as the videos go, they don’t take too long, and my husband edits my videos here on TH-cam, which saves me a ton of time. And my kids are older now and can help with a lot around the house. And if I were to hire someone it wouldn’t be for the wreath making. That’s my favorite part!
Often when I make these kinds of videos, which are very vulnerable for me, people want to see numbers. I also like when other people show their numbers. I have talked in my other videos about how much of that is profit, but I didn’t talk about that here because that wasn’t the focus of this video. I’m sorry if that was tacky
There is absolutely nothing wrong with her mentioning her profit. She generously and selflessly shares her knowlege with us to help us and gain perspective and help those who want to learn! One thing about Jenny is for sure :She is as humble as they get on here..she is a gem!
@@thaenajonne5970Thanks for your reply! Jenny is a wonderful person that only wants to use her knowledge and experience to help us wreath makers. Also you’re right about her being a humble person, I love the person she is and I enjoy watching her videos, Jenny we love you! 🩷
She is sharing with wreath-makers how much they can earn. Why you would make such a rude, hurtful comment says much more about your character than anything else. Did it make you feel better about yourself?Do you aim to make a certain number of hurtful comments daily? I don’t get it.

I'm guilty of these same mistakes. Some years I do better than others at keeping the shop stocked. I have also quit making a good seller because it was very tedious to make.😂
Haha yes I have also gotten rid of some top sellers because they take too long to make.
You’re honestly the best - clearly passionate about your craft and educating others to become great as well. I technically sold my first wreath today, but I happen to know the person and gifted it instead 😂 Clearly I’m not meant for sales. 😂
Haha yes I completely understand! It’s difficult to sell to people we know! I give my friends very large discounts
Very helpful! What do you think about doing craft shows and how many different items should you have?
So glad this was helpful! I talked a little bit about my limited experience with craft shows in an older video I have here on TH-cam, but I think it depends. If you love them and they’re worth your time, I say go for it. Personally I prefer to just sell online.
Thanks for sharing this! How many years after you opened your shop did you really start to see momentum pick up and that it stayed consistent for you?
It got more consistent after about a year and a half, but it didn’t make what I would consider a “full time income” until about year 3. It’s been consistent since then for the most part.

Haha yes! 🙌🏼
Etsy takes too many fees now.
They still have the lowest fees, and their new share and save program is awesome! Makes the fees a lot lower!
where can I find information on the share and save program?
Why would you say you "made" over 500,000..kinda tacky
