    Love these. Tried them waiting for mine to dry. You actually really need to work fast with these as the gelatine goes quite solid again and I found I had to keep reheating the gelatine to go to liquid form again which was a nuisance. Plus there were quite a few air bubbles in the gelatine mix didnt like this look either. Also the balloon didnt come out easy at all in actual fact I got some out the other part was stuck on the inside of the gelatine bubble. Thanks Perth WA

    Great tutorial, thank you, can you flavor these for people to eat, I saw your comment below that these are just look, but do you know if it's possible to flavor them?

    Love your video! You are quick, yet detailed! HUGE help!! One question, if you are still reading these. You used 4 tbsp water to 2 tbsp gelatin. How many bubbles will this make approx? I know it would vary on the size, but say how many of the size you made in the video? Just trying to figure out how much gelatin Im going to need. Thanks so much and again, I love your tutorials!!

    how long in between dips should you wait ? Do i need to grease the balloons ? can i sit them into a mini muffin tin instead of the styrofoam since im going to cut that bottom off anyway ?

    • @hodgepodgeaustralia
      @hodgepodgeaustralia  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Freakychef07 Hi there - it's best to give the balloons at least 5 mins between each dip, which is quite easy to do if you're doing a lot of them. I didn't see a need to grease the balloons just be a bit patient when pulling them back out as they come off the gelatin, they will just release with time. I think if you sat them in a mini muffin tray you'd end up with a bit of a pool of gelatin at the base from some run off, but I'm not 100% sure as I haven't tried that myself, but it would also be hard to get the bottom of the balloon to sit at the bottom of the muffin tray without tipping and some of the sides might make contact with side of the muffin tray before it's set properly and then you'd get a dent in your balloon, but it's always something to try. Thanks for watching :)

    If I want them to be more translucent, is it all right to do less coatings?

    • @hodgepodgeaustralia
      @hodgepodgeaustralia  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Marige OBrien Hi Marige - yes if you want them a little more translucent then just do 2 coats, however they may be a little more fragile so make sure you're nice and delicate with them (which I'm sure you would be). Thanks so much for watching :)

    can we use jello mix for grape flavored?

    • @hodgepodgeaustralia
      @hodgepodgeaustralia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t tried it myself, but I don’t believe so as the jello mix isn’t made to firm completely so they won’t hold their shape.

      I am wondering why you couldn't add a wee bit of jello powder. Like not a whole lot. It would give them a little flavour. Or some kind of juice instead of water?
