I don´t know how many people in the world pay attention to these old alfas which are so underrated, well at least in Argentina. Thank you Neil to keep these machines in a good shape. still trying to find one to restore. greetings from Argentina
Excellent work. The car is probably in better condition now than when it left the factory, certainly in terms of being prepared to face a British Winter,
Another fabulous rescue and resto. You have saved a beautiful Alfa to do many more road miles and it's testiment to your skill and passion that this looks superb
@@IceAce1 Irony is I do 46-90 miles per month. I'm a motor trader with 3 insurance polices for vehicles. I largely use free fuel in stock cars. It is a right treat to take a personal car for 97 Ron for a proper drive ! Road tax costs more than any fuel I add
Hi, a question/recommendation. Is it actually Waxoil you use? If so I'd recommend trying bilt hamber or dinatrol products. They flow and work much better. Also bilt hamber Dynax UC is a completely clear product which I use all over the underside in addition to heavier products I even use it in places like the engine bay where it is almost invisible.
Nice job, looks like it will last another 20 odd years! Actually that’s my biggest concern with the 1990’s and 2000’s cars, the early electronics being repairable or replaceable. Hopefully there is a network of early tech gurus waiting to fix these…..?
Had one of those. had to change the engine twice then sold it into parts. Since then I´m traumatised with the 2.0 litre 16v. So I bought me a 75 TS and later a 164 ts, with the proper Alfa TS Not this fiat crap of an engine :)

Just the rear end to sort next.
Top work as always; bay looks factory fresh and nothing better than fully refurbished subframe and ancillaries going back in too 👌
Thanks
Fantastic job Neil, nicely done. Saw a well taken care of 145 in Reading last week - good to see another one back in action!
Thanks. Nice to see
They may not be the most revered of Alfa’s, but I love ‘em, and they’re far more interesting (no disrespect to VW) than a Golf. Nicely done!
Lovely Jubbly Neil, I'm sure Matt from Furious Driving would like that car very much.
It does drive nice. I will hopefully have it back next year to do the rear end.

Happy end as usual, Alfa is saved :)
Always nice when one is saved.

Nice work! Just curious, what are the costs for a rebuild like this?
Lots. It takes days and days refurbishing parts.

With regular oil changes there solid engines.
