Lighter is supposed to be better for bream but Justin always manages to catch them on 1/4 ounce wish i could say the same 😂

Hey Jay, Lighter is often better, however I find times when I like to step the weight up and sometimes it can make them eat, even when they don't want to... so it's worth experimenting. I fish light in canal systems, however in open water I will often up the weight, especially when dealing with current and wind, or wanting to punch out long casts and cover ground looking for active fish. I am also chasing yellowfin bream, where black bream can be more timid and slower feeders, requiring a lighter head to get the bite. All the best with the fishing and thanks for the kind words. Cheers, Justin

@@jordancama4961 I have been fishing a fair bit of 1/8oz lately and in the canals I fish 1/16oz commonly. For open water I love covering water, hunting active fish and making them eat. Southern black bream often require lighter weights and a slower approach, while yellowfin bream are generally more aggressive. I am often amazed how fast and aggressive I can fish a 1/4oz and they smash it... I sometimes say to my mates, fish it like you're trying to keep it away from them ;). Hope you get stuck into a few soon. Cheers, Justin
