Finally a proper independent review on this table saw, I've been on the fence for so long about getting one, you've made my mind up.. I've just ordered, thanks mate.. 👍
@@CALtheSPARI’ve looked everywhere for one just waiting until 20th this month they should be back in stock direct from Excel they told me so fingers crossed I will get one instead o sitting on fence about it I’ve already got the other job site 7471 which is great but the fence is a bit naff not like the rack n pinion 👍
@@waynelambert4108it's well worth the wait mate, this is a fantastic saw for the money, I've used mine regularly and it hasn't let me down.. I've been filming the setup video today which should be on my channel soon.
I am looking to buy new table saw i have seen this one the Rutland and evolution they all look the same in terms of way the they have been built is the excel one any good
Yes it's very good saw, I use it regularly, it's still going strong.. and to be honest even though I have not used the Rutlands the excel is better build quality, looking TH-cam videos I've seen about the rutland saw, as for the evolution it's practically the same but twice the price..
I will be interest how you get on with this saw having purchase one myself last week. I also thought that it was a value for money piece of equipment with many feature only found on more expensive saws. However the motor failed in a cloud of smoke after only the third time I tried to use it, having only cut one piece of timber. I have retuned the saw and received a refund both of which was handled without any problems by the company.
I'm sorry to hear that, but glad you got it sorted, I think it's like anything you buy, you'll get the odd bad one slipping through, but I'll be using this saw a lot next week, and if I have any problems I'll be sure to do a video on it..
Setup video here...
