Why not USB-C conector?!? Is more user friendly, supports high current in QC 3.0, mechanically more ridgid...
If you guys using this charger for charging vaping battery. Dont use it. Just use UM4. Fast charging will degrade battery faster. Yes UM4 also QC. But this one more faster

Does Nitecore have one with USB-C like this one? The Nitecore Ci4 looks kind of weak and doesn't have a display with information, just lights.
This device are have bugs and errors. I had Ums2 and charging is not start most of the times. Wrong ohm value measurement and not correct charging amp. D2 was pretty good and needed for 21700 new charger, I buy this but it is disaster.
How a I set it to default power settings ? Or what is the default power settings on ums2

You can actually power this via a portable solar panel when you're out in the countryside? If that's the case, this feature makes this charger a 'must have' in a survival/off-grid situation.

If charge 3 ni-mh in slots 1,2,3 second slot will be charged with x2 current. But indication will say everything normal.
Hi? What is the difference between C and V?
Those buttons have a lot of functions. C is for manually setting the charging current of each slot, while V is for setting the voltage of each slot.

I tried UM4 and UM2. UM2 has a problem. When charging Ni-Mh battery with UM2, LCD screen stop at 1.47 volt. Im sure it's not true voltage. UM4 doesn't stop at 1.47 volt. Usually shows 1.50-1.52 volt. You must update NITECORE UM2 and NITECORE UMS2. UM4 and UMS4 are excellent.

liitokala before 3years charge faster 4 battarys and battery that ums4 dont charge. its fast for 1 battery 3A and good for 5v micro usb its great
What is the lowest charging current selection for a single slot? The video seemed to show a range of 300-3000mA (in text), though the charger screen seemed to show it start at 100mA with adjustments in 100mA increments.
The lowest reported charging current I saw in the user manual is 1000mAh or 1 amp.
@@NitecoreStore oh WOW! Good thing i checked. That means this is pretty much useless for Ni-MH batteries, especially AAA. Unless someone wanted to intentionally ruin their batteries. 1A current is even too much for many of the smaller sized Li-Ion batteries like 16340, 14500, etc.
It's 500mA. The 1000mA is when used in QC mode.
@@borealwoodman QC mode at 1A must be good for only for 3 batteries. If you use 4 slots it wouldn't be 1A anymore. 3A divide by 4 is 750mah.

1) Lithium iron phosphate battery LiFePo(4 superscript). 2) just put the battery in and let it automatically charge it. it will know what to do and probably be better than you playing with the settings.

Seeing as how all of the lights released this year have been upgraded to USB-C, I can see some updated battery chargers also coming soon!
Great product received today. I bought the UMS2 and i have a 5v/4A Dash charger, but the UMS2 doesn't display Quick charge as i expected. I'm a little disappointed if i have to but a new power adapter.

Sure! The D4 comes with a traditional AC outlet adapter whereas the UMS4 is designed for a USB power supply. The main advantage of the UMS4 over the D4 is you could still use it with an AC adapter if desired whereas the D4 is only AC compatible.
