- UPDATE: Sadly, Hoover passed away on October 7, 2019. He had suffered ongoing health issues and earlier in the year squamous cell carcinoma was removed twice from one front leg. After Hoover was observed limping, the Big Cat Rescue vet found what looked to be bone cancer in his back leg, and severe arthritis throughout all of his joints. With Hoover already being given much pain medication, they made the difficult decision to let him go. We are thankful to them for giving Hoover the best care and environment he had been denied for all those years in the circus. His memory will live on, and his story never forgotten, helping others who are still suffering in circuses as Hoover and his cagemates did.

wich i man a huge trailer for the horses and a second one to carry the electrik fance for a ninimum 100 squeremeter paddock and if they ride the horses out from time to time medical care and so on
its also ok to keep 5 chickens in a huge trailer wich has a house part and a open air cage part
minimum 12 squere meters and a grass carpet in the open air part
A circus was supposed to come to our town but people protested so much against it their show was canceled.

Poor thing, he was so wary of the water at first , and Tigers love water. Probably never seen it in his life. Thanks to the wonderful people that rescued him.

Today was dear Hoover's last day and I'm feeling sad. But I want to thank all the wonderful people at ADI and Big Cat Rescue for their persistent hard work in rescuing him and many other animals from cruel situations. ADI are superheroes! And BCR lovingly cared for Hoove for 3 good years, providing a beautiful spacious habitat for him, vet care, and abundant excellent quality food. He had already gone to heaven when he got to BCR. Now he's truly free and reunited with those he loved in the presence of the Creator. God bless ADI. God bless BCR. God bless Hoover. May all beings be free from suffering.

It is true Hoover is in heaven forever with his Creator,🐯 he was given a taste of it when ADI rescued him and now he will forever roam free🌈as it was always meant to be. One would think that since these animals make the money for the owners, they'd treat them like an investment and treat them very well. These animals should've AT LEAST had basic veterinary care, and the best food and environment possible...but once again, man believes these lives are replaceable. @@Trid2bnrml1, well, this will probably rarely -- if ever -- happen in a country where the standard of living is quite low for the general population. Apparently, in Peru there is a ban on keeping exotic animals for commercial purposes, or at least for these smaller commercial operations, but it seems there aren't enough wildlife officials to enforce the laws there, or in many other countries, as well. You can bet the circus owners don't charge a high entrance fee (because so few people could afford to attend), so they probably don't make much of a profit at all, and proper care of large wild cats (and other large animals that belong in their native wild territories, not in circuses or zoos!) would require expensive care. So glad this rescue operation exists and is doing as much as it can to locate and rescue these exotic animals that deserve to have large spaces in which to roam and enjoy a natural environment. Down with all animal circuses and businesses that keep and mistreat these majestic creatures that should be living in sanctuaries, at least and preferably in their natural habitats.

Check Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. They are amazing. They are a sanctuary. They rescue different cats who were abandoned, abused, surrendered by their owners.

Tigers love water and they fact he is so tentative getting in is sad, but he lived out the rest of the days making up for it. No wonder the animals attack their trainers, they have been driven crazy by boredom.

I'm curious what your definition of a monster is then. Because my definition of a monster is a person who abuses either people or animals. We're talking about physical abuse, which is torture. People who get pleasure out of torturing another living creature is my exact definition of a monster and the prison cells are full of them. During my trip in Portugal this past summer I drove by a circus and they had a white tiger sitting directly next to the road in a tiny cage...I was so upset and still am.

It is so beautiful seeing him wandering among trees and plants and swimming in a real pond, he must be so much happier. This is one of the best habitats I have seen for rescued tigers! All he needs now is a girlfriend:) God bless everyone who worked so hard to rescue him and Big Cat Rescue for giving him such a wonderful home! I wish this for ALL big cats still suffering out there.

Rewatching this for what feels like the millionth time, but the way Hoover and many other animals in circuses are treated truly disgusts me. Explore.org also has several cams set up at BCR, which you can watch 24/7. Hoover just finished two weeks in the 2.5 acre Vacation Rotation enclosure, which is open to the sky. It has a pond with a fountain and several climbing platforms and dens.

I cried when he smelled the grass. I don't think he had ever seen grass before 😢. I cried again when he laid in the water for the very first time. Who am I kidding... I cried the ENTIRE video. Some were sad tears seeing what he went through, but mostly were happy tears for the life he has now. The sad thing is we only got to see a smidgen of the abuse this BEAUTIFUL boy went through the first 12 years of his. life. Wild animals are not meant to be caged up. They are meant to run free. He was literally robbed of 12 years of his life. All because some a**hole/a**holes care more about money, then they do about a living breathing innocent animal. I have NEVER been to a circus, and I NEVER will. Anyone who does is either uneducated about the whole situation and doesn't realize they are contributing to the problem, or they are fully aware and are willingly contributing to the problem. As long as there are people paying to go to the circus and there's a demand for it, then there will be a circus. Most of the time the animals are abused. They train them with food. If they preform well they feed them, but if they don't preform well they don't feed them. Some even get physically abused, and then there's the mental and psychological abuse they endure. Even if the animals are treated well, it's still NOT okay!! Like I said, WILD ANIMALS BELONG IN TYE WILD... PERIOD!! Even marine animals get "food" trained. I seen a video someone took while investigating undercover at Sea World, and some of the animals would go without food for a few days because they didn't "preform well". The animals caught on quick. It was so heart-wrenching to watch 😢. I will never go anywhere that profits at the expense of innocent animals. I'm not sure yet how I feel about Zoo's, animal sanctuaries, ect that charge people to see the animals. Because even though I think all wild animals should be in the wild and left alone. I also know the animals at a lot of places like these are rescued, or there because they can't be released back into the wild for some reason. And charging people to come see them is how they are able to financially care for them. So I understand that. But I'm only referring to the places where the animals are left alone and you watch them from afar, and are able to roam freely in their habitats. NOT the places that profit off of elephant rides, letting people take pictures with cheetahs, lions, ect. Because in my opinion, they are just as bad as the circus. If anyone is even reading this, sorry for my HUGE rant. All this just infuriates me BADLY!! I'M SO HAPPY this precious boy gets to live out the rest of his years like this and away from the circus ❤.

Crying because of the horrible life he had in the zoo. Crying because of the joy he must have felt being cared for and loved. Lastly, crying as I read the update that he passed away.

@@Revelation13-8 They didn't "kill" him. They had to euthanize him because of the cancer. It would have been a blessing for him in the end. Bone cancer is horribly painful.
The good news is that he had almost three years to enjoy a wonderful tiger life in a beautiful sanctuary before he passed.
We need more Green spaces...places for wild animal sanctuaries...large swathes of land with no development so that thete is an abundance if wildlife living free and naturally...sharing the world with us

Miss this dear sweet boy so much. So thankful to ADI and BCR that because of them he was able to live his last years in peace, surrounded by beauty and love and people who respected him and spoiled him rotten!
