  • On Jan. 16, 2018, former research chimpanzees who had spent their entire lives in inside/outside cages explored an outdoor forest habitat for the first time at the Project Chimps sanctuary.
One group of six males and one group of nine females, all formerly used in biomedical research in laboratories, were released at separate times to freely explore a six-acre, forested habitat in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia.
Thanks to Project Chimps' founding board member Marsha Perelman, American Anti-Vivisection Society, Solid Security Perimeter Solutions, and National Anti-Vivisection Society for making it possible!
Here are a few simple ways you can help the chimps:
It costs $7 to feed a chimp for a day. You can help feed a chimp by making a recurring donation of $7+ a month at projectchimps.org/donate
Donate a needed item for the chimps from our Amazon Wish List at bit.ly/give2chimps
    Sponsor a chimpanzee for $23/month at bit.ly/sponsorachimp
Buy Project Chimps merchandise to help the chimps at bit.ly/shop4chimps
Follow the chimps on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter @projectchimps
Meet the chimps at projectchimps.org and share their stories.
    Thank you!
