- In this video I walk through the steps of adding a Magazine extension to a shotgun. The specific shotgun I am adding a magazine extension to is the @GforceArms GF1W 12 Gauge. The magazine kit I had to select is the Benelli/Nova Kit from Carlson's. Below are the steps in the full process:
1. Disassemble the shotgun Forend & Magazine Cap
2. Take out the Plug and Spring
3. Remove the Shell Stopper from the Magazine Tube
4. Check and Make Sure you have the Correct Kit for your Shotgun
5. Sand Down any Burs on the Inside of the Mag Tube
6. Place the New Carlson's Shell Stopped in the Tube
7. Put the new spring in the Magazine Tube
8. Replace the Forend
9. Screw on the Magazine Extension Tube

That workbench vice is dope!
It really is. Makes working on guns super easy.
@@OutdoorJackwhat brand/model is it?
@@niallmcpolin2311 The Brand is GForce Arms and the model is a GForce Refuge however they have a new model that includes a Mag extension that I would recommend. bit.ly/GForceOne
@@OutdoorJack thanks dude
Good job! Filing that lip down on the inside of the magazine tube seems a lot easier than sawing the barrel off.
Thank you, filing it down is key for sure.
Alright this looks simple enough, wish me luck. Thanks boss
Yeah not to hard, holler if you need help.
Good video... I just take the plug out my old Winchester for snow goose season
Right on, I am guessing that gets you about 5 total rounds. This one will get me 9+1 and then I have 5 on the butt stock sleeve lol. 15 Rounds on the Gun.
Ammo is expensive and sometimes hard to find. So I keep it reasonable.
Any snows out west yet ?
@@CornhuskerCowboy. Completely Understand.
@@CornhuskerCowboy. Went out last night. Birds everywhere but none came to my pond until after legal shooting hours.
Is that gun the same as the citadel boss hog/warthog? Looks the same wondering if that barrel will fit mine.
That gun is an early version of the GForce Refuge. And barrel are you meaning the Magazine tube?
I have the same shotgun but my stock is broken and I need to get a new one where did you get your set also great video
Thank you, and you may be able to purchase a new replacement stock directly from GForce Arms. I would call their Customer service and see what they can do for you.
I was looking at these but I have no clue which to get. How do you know what length to get? My grandma's shotgun has a wooden plug in his gun can I do the same thing in an extension?
So you’ll need to find the model that fits with your gun. My advice would be to go to a local shop that has a lot on stock to see what fits before you buy. The wooden plug can be removed.
Greetings, in what links did you buy to put the cartridges on the back of the shot guns?
This is the shotgun Ammo holder on the butt stock - grovtec.com/products/buttstock-cartridge-shell-holder-shotgun-open-style
Is there any magazine extension tube for Beretta 1201F? I think it is almost same shotgun than Benelli M1 super 90.
I am not 100% sure but I’d take your gun to a local gun shop that carries them and ask them to try it on for fitment of the threads. That would tell you if it’s the right version or not. 👍🏼
Does it work the same for a winchester sxp pump
Yes it should but be sure to make sure you have the right tube extension for that model.
is there one for beretta 1200 ? thanks
I am sure there is.
How careful do you have to be when going from 2 3/4, to 3, to 3-1/2, from buck, to high brass, to bird, to slugs, etc with a semi auto? I have a semi auto shotgun but hardly ever shoot it cuz i dont wanna hurt the gas system
You know thats a good question. I don’t like to shoot anything but 2 3/4 and 3” but it shouldn’t matter if you issue general lubrications and cleaning practices.
If its a longer extension i use 2 clamps seems to work better
That’s a good idea 👍🏼
Since that is semiauto isn't there a gas system or gauge that you need to set?
Not specifically, some models yes. Not this model though.
Can i do this with a berreta A300 outlander
No I don’t believe you can because of the way that Mag Tube Piston was designed.
Wonder if it will work on a legacy sports puma 12 gauge ?
Best thing there would be to take it to a dealer that has multiple mag extension tubes and ask them if you can try them to see what model fits.
@@OutdoorJack hhmm. Good idea. Thank you.
I'm looking for one for a Mossberg 88 where did you find
I am not sure on who would carry one for that Model. Carlson's is what I put on my maybe check here: www.choketube.com/
where can i find one for the beretta a300 ultima????
I’d look at Carlson’s website to see if they have that. However i know some of those Beretta Models you can not Add a tube too.
Hi im looking for a tube extension for a winchester sxp black shadow is that the same one you have? And where do i get it?
Not the exact same one but close. Here it is on sale at my local gun shop. www.highbyoutdoors.com/Carlsons-Winchester-SX2SX3SX4-Magazine-Extension-12-gauge--8-Shot_p_78599.html
Appreciate it
And will you have the video that you come out shooting with the extension?
I did have some snow goose hunts shooting it. Not sure if I made a video of them yet. But I have not made a video just of shooting the gun with this build. I should do that. Thanks for the suggestion.
Any mag for a beretta a300?
I am not sure
what kind of vice is this?
It’s the real Avid gun vise. Check it out here 👊🏼www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=cl&merchant_id=72e40c63-8c63-4d1c-b249-846940ab23f8&website_id=b9359c67-ec96-4dfa-8fde-8371b5e5b658&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.realavid.com%2Fproduct%2Fmaster-gun-vise%2F
thanks allot 👍👍👍@@OutdoorJack
hantsan escort magnum will he do on that?
What ?
I wonder if its done on my gun
@@jeffstonge2822 I would contact the manufacturer and see what model you need but I am sure you can.
Can i put ..mag extension tube to Retay shotgun
Not familiar with that shotgun but I’m sure you can.
How meant did it hole?
10+1 👍🏼
@@OutdoorJack That's what my two 1100's holds 11 shells total and I just kept the original shell followers in mine !!!
@@jeffreyelliott622 Thats awesome.
What kit is for this gun thought I read somewhere benelli nova but not sure
The benelli nova kit did not work on mine the threads were not deep enough
So the Carlson's mag tube I used was the Benelli Nova/Super Nova/Beretta1301/CZ 712/912. Is that the same one you tried?
@@OutdoorJackyep I bought the 10 shot it screws on a little crooked but goes tight just not tight enough the forearm has play and so does the barrel like 1/4” or more play my original cap has deeper threads then the extension does
Ok so just finally found another video on my shotgun it has a tappered end so I do in fact have to cut 1/4” off I’m going to try to do a spacer as not to damage the gun and see how it runs
So I was about to tell you this exactly. Can either cut that 1/4 inch off or add a spacer. I found a spacer at my local hardware store that helped keep everything tight. I did just get the new GForce One that I upgraded to and it comes with a mag extension tube so I’m all set there 😁
Which shotgun is that?
That shotgun is a GForce Arms Refuge with different stock and forend. They have a new model that i would suggest their GForce One. bit.ly/GFOneGuns
I'm looking for a mag extension tube for my SARS (Sarsilmaz, Turkey) 12ga. semi-auto shotgun. Can you help?
What is the SARS model ?
im looking for 20 gauge extension for my super m90 is yours 20 or 12
Mine is a 12, I’m pretty sure Carlson makes a 20 gauge version.
@@OutdoorJack thank ya bro i went on last night and bought one for 80 bucks. ive been looking for like a year and just gave up. preciate you man
@@M.S.B. you bet brother.
Do you know of anyone that makes the extension tube for the Stevens 320
This is soles based on the look of the shotgun but it may just be the Mag tube that’s for a REM 870. Here is a specific one I found - www.riflestock.com/store/product/stevens-320-2-magazine-extension-matt/
@@OutdoorJack thanks
What length barrel and how many rounds is the tube?
Barrel is 28”, and it’s a 10+1.
@@OutdoorJack ahhh thanks. I have a 24" barrel so will go with 8 or 9 rounder
@@cocoloco2711 yeah that would be a safe bet. 👍🏼
I thought you can only have 3 rounds in the shot gun when hunting
That’s correct most of the time. However there are some exceptions like snow goose hunting during the conservation order, and like hunting other species like predators. You have to pay attention to your local and federal regulations. Great question.
@@OutdoorJack
Exactly
What did he read a book, turn the gun upside down and shake it or do the twist or shake it to the left and shake it to the right? hahaha,
Lol 😂
Wtf are you. Doing you don't need to take the forend off
Well glad you don’t but I did to change out the caps. Glad you’re a genius. Thanks for the comment though. I hope that God blessed you and he softens your heart some.
What a joke this guy is.
Thanks for your comment. I hope you have a blessed day.
