Just did the same as you from grab a gun..just waiting for it to arrive and take it out

Awesome shooting and functioning rig. I believe that my brother has the 20 in version and it’s a great value for sure.
Thanks for the comment and yeah it’s a nice little rig. God bless!
@@OutdoorJack you are welcome 🙏 and I agree. God Bless you as well 😇
Nice! I just got mine from the Father’s Day sale 😂
Good choice! I hope you enjoy it. God Bless
People use screws to attach a gong to the chain, not hooks… Just get some screws, some washers and some nuts
I had carriage bolts on them and they just got shot up. 🤦🏼♂️
The typical range trip for everyone that I know is between 250 and 400 rounds. Who the heck goes to a range and only shoots one box? I would dare to say that most people preload 10 to 15 30-round mags…
Probably right but I just can’t spend that amount of money on ammo right now. Lol #poorpeopleprobs haha
Just ordered mine. What magnification do you use?
As much as possible haha, I think 4-20 power!
You guys convinced me, it’s only $109 on palmetto right now
Same reason I’m here lol
Haha nice…get one before it’s gone. I think there is a link in my description.
Just ordered me one too lol
LOL ME TOO
Ordering one next week can’t miss this awesome deal 🤣
did you clean off the factory oil before zeroing?
I did not. Right out of the box test.
100% recommend trying some AAC 77g otm ammo from psa’s website. Your 1:7 twist barrel will probably stabilize it nicely and it’s remarkable defensive ammo for SBRs or in your case, “pistol”. Idiotic laws
Thanks for the recommendation. 👍🏼
What holster was you using for this?
I use a Versa carry leather holster for the handgun only, but I do not have one for the gun with red dot and light.
Do they make a binary trigger for this ?
I have not heard of one but that doesn’t mean there isn’t. Let me do some research. 🧐
Is the bolt locked when the safety is on?
No the bolt does not lock when on safety. You are still able to work the action on both safety and while on fire.
@@OutdoorJack thanks
@@steveharvey6421 You bet, Not sure if its a benefit or a downfall, depends I guess but its an awesome rifle.
I have this exact one only put 18 rounds through it but wish i can find a video on taking it down just enough to clean an oil it.
Did you check out the GForce TH-cam page ?
Nice unboxing vid! I seem to recall reading on Franchi's website that you can safely run 5.56 with the .223 model. I'd check directly with the manufacturer before trying it though. I usually don't like any types of camo finish on the stock for rifles, but this one looks really good.
What shotgun
The shotgun in that video is the GForce Refuge 12 Gauge.
The first firearm, a rifle in 7.62x51/308W, was the M14 Army BCT in 1969 January and February. I desired that the rifle chambered in 308W, the Savage 110 Tactical 20” barrel. The bore is a mess; it was replaced with a Criterion barrel, and the factory stock was replaced with a KRG Bravo. One more replaced the Criterion barrel with a BSF carbon fiber 24” barrel, bolt body from the sloppiest factory to PTG bolt body (the Criterion barrel is very accurate), but lightweight desired reduced weight off 1.25 pounds.
Great info!
PSA makes quality pieces for the Dinero . . really are just committed to quality American made Weapons without regard to price , Quite honestly
Agreed 👍🏼
Their quality check sucks
Hmm..I’m not aware of their quality control. I have had no issue with any of their guns to date.
@@OutdoorJack I’m glad you haven’t had issue’s, I just received a PSA AK9, when the bolt is closed on a round you can still see the tail end of the brass and the Bolt wiggles back and forth while closed, the hammer has a decent size dent in it not sure how it passed QA, I don’t want to bash them but I’ve been on a warranty claim for almost 2 weeks now and haven’t heard a peep , called customer service they noticed my photos and strongly advised me not to fire this firearm it’s extremely dangerous and has headspace issues… it frustrates me because I loved shooting this gun to now it’s sitting in my cabinet just waiting for me and they haven’t even considered the fact they sold me a gun that had a higher chance of exploding. Also light primer strikes every other mag at the time due to the hammer being damaged
Don't use your magazine as a support
My bad 😥
Yeah I don’t know what choke comes out of the box but I was shooting some Winchester super x 9 pellet and at about 35 yards I stopped getting all the pellets on a man sized target if that gives you any idea for deer hunting
Yeah 👍🏼
Use a tow strap, you can hit the strap 20 times and its still in tact. 1 20 foot recovery strap can make like 4 hangers, chain always breaks.
That’s a good idea. 👍🏼
This gun is crazy accurate without a compensator, even the base $299 STR9 is crazy accurate. For the little improvement that the compensator gives, I think it would be better to buy a Stoeger STR-9F with the longer barrel for even more accuracy and not use a comp to avoid getting put in the unlimited class. Also since we are trying to save money here, for the optic, a holosun 507Comp can be found for about $120-$180 less than that Burris FastFire.
That is for sure one thing to think about. 🤔
I use the same targets and had the same trouble. What I did is buy grade 8 chain and grade 8 bolts nuts and washers.
That’s a great idea 💡
Okay hell yeah. I was wondering how I would mount sling and I was looking for pic mount for QD. Mine has holes on it that look like Mlok rails but are actually just vent ports because the gun gets hot. If you run 100 rounds in 45 minutes it will get hot.
Ohh yeah, hot for sure! 🤛🏼
Hell yeah. Pop the 35$ flashlight with press pad on it sling and maybe an optic if I was feeling fancy. My sights work great but yes I understand the limitations. I’ll be switching to Daniel defense irons soon. 100$. Solid iron sights. Can put them on a regular rifle when this gun fails if I wanted. Solid purchase anyways in my opinion. Back up iron sights is pretty good.
Yeah man 🤛🏼🤛🏼
Great vid. I do not own one YET...but from what I understand, you have to run like 200 rounds of rounds of 1400fps to break it in. Or, just keep 1500fps ammo in it. Again, from my understanding and I am NOT an expert.
That is 100% correct
Is the GF11228 the same as this gun
Its an updated version, Yes! I think that they actually call it the Refuge. If I was looking at this one I would actually think about the GForce One, or GForce Two. Its better buy in my opinion.
I had the GF1 with the 20 inch barrel. That gun did not hold up well it started to fall apart and then I couldn’t load it anymore. Send it back to them. They said it could not be repaired. So they upgraded me to the refuge. I really hope this gun holds up. I want to use it for pheasant and turkey Hunting. Looks like you’ve had luck with yours. I hope I have the same mine
GForce One I’m talking about. It’s pretty new. gforcearms.com/firearms/hunting-shotguns/gforce-one/
I ordered a set. It didn't come with nuts. Did you buy those? What size?
It should have come with a nut. I’d give CS a call. 🤔
won't fire, some when off. tried different brands of shells. have two of theses. dose not hit firing pin hard enough
Yeah, I think when I short stroked the gun it likely did that. Also make sure it’s well lubedz
@@OutdoorJack tried 4 different brands of shells. We have two of these guns with three different experienced hunters and had the same opinions from all three. We all had several misfires with all four brands. The firing pin was not hitting hard enough on the misfires. I don't agree with the short stroke theory. The guns were cleaned and lubed many times. Disappointed!!!! A brand-new gun should shoot more than fifty percent of the time
@@KeithWollesen agree completely, did you talk to customer service ?
That's the same exact setup I ordered today. Gotta love a lighweight stock with the short run n gun barrel
You bet! 🤛🏼🤛🏼
It’s a brace, not a stock..
@@Chingus696 please don't ever have children
@@Chingus696 please never have kids
I'm debating on saving $600 dollars buying this over a Tikka T3X Super Varmint....I want to know is the barrel 416 stainless under the cerakote ???? Is the receiver stainless ???? good luck on trying to fid that answer
What I can find is that the barrel is cold hammer forged steel. Exact steel is the question. The receiver is stainless I know that. 🤛🏼
I just bought one had some issues with it cycling 😢
Yeah, I have seen some other reviews with issues. Mine was not stringing the primer hard enough to set of the primer so doesn’t surprise me.
So your poaching! You can’t legally hunt waterfowl with a 5 round mag dude! NOT COOL. Expect a phone call or a visit from a warden.
Haha.. I pay attention to my locals federal and state laws. You can hunt Snow Geese under the conservation order with more than 3 round. Also, in Nebraska you actually don’t need a plug in your gun to hunt pheasants. Next we have predators like coyotes. There is no limit on magazine capacity. So yeah send a warden my way. Because I know them well and they are my friends. Actually hunt with them a lot. Thanks for the comment and it is a great reminder to anyone to pay attention to your local game and fish laws. Gosh Bless!
Good to know, thought that was a federal waterfowl law of no more than three round.
FYI... there Zero imported AR15s
1 in 7 twist needs to run more grains of powder like 77 or 75 or 69
You mean bullet weight or powder? Either way just wanted to have clarified.
@@Antman94b Grain refers to the weight of the projectile not the powder
@@OneCleanKawi oh well, my bad I mean powder
@@OutdoorJack powder
@@Antman94b So maybe to clarify when I say 1:7 twist that is the rate at which there is a full spiral of the barrel rifling in a certain length. For instants there is a full rifling turn on this rifle ever 7 inches. 1:7 twist rate. Typically the faster the twist the better the rifle is at stabilizing a bullet of weight thus being able to handle heavier bullet weights. So when I say this I mean grain weight of the bullet not grain weight volume of powder. Does that help clarify?
Not a fan of these ar 12s or ak 12s. They jam to much and i wouldn't depend on neither in a gun fight.
Thanks for your comment. It is a valid concern. And should be a concern with any firearm. Thanks for the comment and God Bless!
I really like this stock and would be an instant upgrade for most factory rifles out there or ones you can be built at home. Now this stock fits better as a replacement for the Terrain stock vs the standard Eagle 🦅 stock. I wish they offered this for Tikkas. Not sure why your scope is set that high. Definitely room even with the bell to get closer to the bore of the rifle. Thanks for a great overview of such a sweet stock.
Thanks man, yeah the stock was higher than I wanted but it was the set that came with the scope.
@@OutdoorJack you are welcome 🙏 and I understand. Got to go with what you got at the moment.
Sweet stock for sure, would be a great upgrade over most factory Tupperware stocks out there. Pretty cool 😎 color scheme on that one too. I am sure that it’s for demonstration purposes but I wouldn’t get a B14 Terrain with adjustable cheek piece then swap it with a stock that doesn’t. The Ridge or Hunter would be a better choice for that.
That stock is nice but yes you’re right it was more for demonstration.
Congrats buddy!
Can’t wait to put the video together.
Would this be considered an sbr now due to the brace rule I have one but some ranges. Wont let me shoot it
No that would not be an SBR. Thats a full length barrel at 18 inches.
Good God will you adjust the rear site?
I eventually did just didn’t get that on camera. God bless!
I fell in love with the simplicity of this back to basics rifle. Its refreshing to have a rifle without all the spray paint camo jobs and accessories. I installed a $16 Strike Industries extended latch for the factory charging handle. I used to think the Magpul MOE handguards were lame but i think i've come full circle and really appreciate how they feel. Its Mlok ready so you can throw a light on just as easy.
You bet 👍🏼
