This is way more confusing and complicated then it needs to be. All TJ fusebox diagrams can be found here: knigaproavto.ru/shemy/en/jeep/wrangler/920-1997-2006-jeep-wrangler-tj-fuse-box-diagram.html. For my 1998 TJ, I wired the halos into a fuse tap into the engine bay fuse box using #21. That gives you halos that turn on when the engine is running and off when it is not. Since they draw so little power, only a 1amp fuse is needed.
Would you be willing to answer a few questions about this? I have a 1998 TJ that looks the same. Except my wiring diagram says that the power source for the DRL module is Red/Light Green. There is no Red/White wire in that harness. I attached the Red/Light Green to the Red/Gray and now the high beam indicator is on permanently and my check engine light is on. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.
Is the possible for someone to explain the re-wire here using this diagram: www.jeepkings.ca/forums/images/imported/2009/09/188.jpg The video is very confusing and it's never exactly clear to me what wires he is leaving disconnected and what ones he bridges to get the HB indicator to work. I am looking to disconnect my DRL box but NOT lose my HB indicator. So I cut RED/GRY and then splice the firewall side of RED/GRY into WHT/ORG which is the VSS? OR Do I cut RED/GRY and then splice the firewall side of RED/GRY into RED/LT GRN which is the ignition (Master power to DRL module)

your TJ's fuse box doesn't look the same as mine. All the fuses under the hood on 2004 make the halos hot all the time when using a fuse tap.
Ripx510 I have same issue but my jeep 1998 did you find the solution?
Same issue here
same issue here. anyone find a fuse that isn’t hot ?

Brian Yardley all you need to do is cut that Red/Light Green wire and that’s it. And it’s your choice to put fuse cartridge into it.
This is the jeep that's up in flames in the desert
