The 7800 would have done MUCH better if it had actually come out in 1983 instead of being shelved by Atari's new owner and then being rushed out after it was almost 4yrs old. Also, technically it would have done better if they'd just put the audio chip in there instead of just the 2600 chip and relied on it in the carts...
I don't know ,you could probable split the 5200 and Colecovision into their own generation of consoles. The 2600 sold pretty well as a budget console way after the NES released and was only discontinued in 1992.

The truth about those early sales numbers was that Atari lagged behind not because of poor demand, but because that initial run of consoles was literally the warehoused lot of them from 84. Atari actually had difficulties bringing the production for the system back online. Had they had their shit together, and doubled down on the 7800 instead of continuing to produce and market the 2600, I feel they would have vastly outsold SEGA. I have the 3 3rd gen consoles released in America, I can only ever find NES games. The other two practically don't exist outside of ebay.

Atari 7800 sold 3.7M in US alone in the period between 1986 and 1990. The figure you've shown for the Master System is also inflated. Tec Toy stated to have sold 8 million MS in Brazil until 2016 but by that point the MS they were selling for many tears weren't really MS hardware anymore.
I feel like you might be taking a bit too much inspiration from Scott the Woz here with the scripting, inflections, acting, and Madden joke. Taking influence from others is obviously a good thing, and I don't know your exact process for videos, but I'm not sure if I see too much other DNA infused in this video than from Scott. I would suggest trying to branch off a little more so the correlations aren't quite as close.

Agreed, I love the 7800. It would have been awesome if Atari and Nintendo had both been major competitors slugging it out.
