Just happened to me with a bad coil, I listened to the car she told me it was a bad coil (I’ve read a lot of books about how cars operate) but I took it to mechanics who felt the need to catastrophize and wanted to replace stuff that didn’t need replacing got tired of being docked around so I replaced it myself in the parking lot of a auto parts store and the check engine light turned off about 5 hours later
I had NO ENGINE CODES, but my engine was idling super rough all of a sudden. The engine shook so much, that at first I thought it was a motor mount issue because there were no codes. I drove it around, because I had no other choice, and eventually saw my MPG go down drastically. That made me think it must be the coils or spark plugs. I had 2 coils that went bad. Once I replaced the bad coils, the MGP went up drastically on my car. I'm hoping that I didn't do permanent damage, but the car is running smooth again.
Did you have similar symptoms? My car gets stuck on specific RPMs before switching gears. It also pops and bangs after high acceleration even though I don't have a tune
Nope, my symptoms were a super rough idle and the engine shaking badly at any speed. You should search on your specific symptoms to see if you can narrow down the problem.
@rlvtrader hey man, so turns out I have the same issue. Just like you said, engine vibrating/shaking occurred suddenly. Coils were already weak evidently with the sluggishness, and now I think a couple are dead because car feels like it's running on 2 cylinders 🤦🏿♂️
@512Roberto53 hey yup it finally caught up to me. Was wondering why the car operated sluggishly for years. No codes at all but I remember what the car feels like without a bad ignition coil
@summushieremiasclarkson4700 maybe that's why mine is finally going out, the ignition coil has been there for a while and my car is at 200k as well. Probably because I haven't changed my spark plugs on time so the heat gets transfered to the coil and module and may burn the module
suddenly my car would not accelerate. it would get to like 30 mph, we took it to a shop and I think he took a spark plug out and no change although didn't test really, but he said ignition coil. it's a Nissan versa 2006. he quoted me 4 or 600 for ignition coil. I don't know anything about cars not sure what to do.
My car is reading a bad ignition coil of the 2nd valve. I changed it. It was good for 6 months them out was reading bad again I changed it and it still reads bad. I had the check engine cleared and about about 30 miles and it came back on. What would cause this to read bad even when it's brand new.
I'm not a mechanic and I don't know much about it at all, so take my advice with a grain of salt. But maybe it's a spark plug issue. You could try swapping ignition coils to see if the problem moves over to another cylinder.

Thank you for your time. I had the same problem and fixed it. Thank you.

You can drive your car for up to 100km with a bad ignition coil. Beyond that is not recommended.
I drove 2 miles to get off the highway, and had it towed home. Didn't want to take a chance, car's treated me well for almost 200k miles.

If one of my coils goes bad, my engine just shuts down. Seems to refuse to operate on 3 cylinders. Found this out the hard way.
Thankyou!
They also destroy there cars by watching your videos and following your advice.

You might need both coil and module + new spark plugs.
I can’t understand a goddamn word you’re saying
