I love, love, love you!! You are the most beautiful and gracious LADY of them all Lady Mary Beth. I am a wee bit older than you and live in the Northeast however I swear we were somehow separated at birth. Lol. We enjoy and appreciate the same things. I look very forward to all your amazing vlogs. I even save and rewatch them. I am a mega fan. Lol. Keep on doing what you are doing as it brings so much joy and happiness to others. God bless!!!
Once again it is amazing what you are able to discover! You are teaching us to have your eye, your patience, and your tenacity to follow through! Thank you!
@@LadyMaryBeth thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to teach us about the real antiques right here in Houston. Originally from Louisiana. Hope you have a blessed one darling.
How wonderful to find the Peter Pan anniversary plate . I would have definitely taken that home . The Scottish author J.M. Barrie wrote about Peter Pan in The Little White Bird [1902 ] and Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens [ 1906 ] my personal favorite ! In 1929 Barrie gave the copyright , in perpetuity , of Peter Pan to The Hospital for Sick Children of London , known around the world as Great Ormond Street Hospital . A wonderful act of philanthropy which this pioneering hospital , and the very ill children , and their parents who attend it , continue to benefit from
Hello from Celina Texas! I recently went to a house sale and obtained 2,polish lead crystal rose vases for $15 ! I put cleanx in one and cough drops in the other; using them at bedside for allergy season!👍💖
This must be the store where all the good stuff that comes into the Tomball store goes. Our store has mostly clothes. Very little housewares. I figured the nice things either went to another store or to the Goodwill auction website. I'll have to check this store out.
Thanks for taking us along. This used to be my favorite Goodwill. However since the Pandemic they have had such a high turnover of staff that it's very disorganized at times. You did very well today. I loved the cut to clear bowls.
What a fun way to spend my Sunday evening. I love the Mikasa tea set. My son and I went to our local Goodwill because we like thrifting. We saw a large TV cabinet for $50 in great condition for his living room. When it was taken to check out, It rang up for $15. My son asked if that was right, and the cashier said yes. Good deal!
That little Lenox snowman was so cute! What a great find! I'll be keeping my eye peeled for cookie jars now; great idea to gift them with holiday cookies.
My favorites of this trip were the Lenox Snowman and the basket-I recognized it IMMEDIATELY when you picked it up. I wish our local stores were as nice as yours. It was s fun trip-THANK YOU 😊
Hi, I recently found your channel and I love it. Makes me so calm, and your voice is very soothing 😊🌷 I have been binch watching.... Love from the Netherlands, greetings Maaike
I LOVED the green hand blown goblets made in Mexico- I would have taken those home ! What a fantastic store, and so large . I have a cousin who lived in Katy - I need to visit !! Loved the video 💖💚
I love your idea of the cookie jar as the container for holiday cookies to give away. It’s a much nicer option than the metal tins from the dollar store. I’m definitely going to use that idea the coming Christmas. I’ll start my cookie jar search early. Love watching your channel on Sundays.
I'm also looking for a silver tray. Perhaps we could persuade Lady Mary Beth to give a more in- depth video? Is there a way to tell if what you think is tarnish is actually the copper showing through, etc.
Remarkable finds,what a great place! Also,please bear with me. If only I could walk around,holding your hand,for maybe 10 minutes,it would be 10 minutes of joy,as I adore you,my Lady🥰
Thought of you the other day when checking out a back stamp. Looked great till I noticed ‘detergent safe’ in bold. Would make a less than classy pendant x
As always, a very interesting shopping trip, a trip down memory lane... Plus I can add to the story of the "Dutch" spirit bottle. I recognised it straight way, something I remember well from the 70's, it's a now empty bottle of Vandermint Mint-Chocolate Liqueur, made by Andros Distillery, Tilburg Holland. The same company also made "Pasha" Turkish Coffee Liqueur that came in a Russian onion shaped bottle, with a beautiful hammered glass look and copper painted finish - they were delicious!! I'm 71 years young.. does anyone remember them? Thanks Mary-Beth, from Sydney.. ❤🦘
Oh that mug, how did it get there, I live in the Netherlands, it is so funny to see these things in your thriftstores, btw very nice video, I learn a lot from it.
My mom has the complete set of the single stemmed etched glass you saw, from her 1958 wedding. The blue and white spirit bottle I remember. If I remember correctly, my aunt poured a chocolate liquor from it, but it may be she was just reusing the bottle. The garlic press plate I received as a Christmas present this year. This was great fun to watch!
Another couple of interesting tidbits! Mikasa also made an American Countryside - they had both sides of the Atlantic covered! 😂 Mikasa made a line of everyday porcelain dishes in a line they called Ultima+ which they marketed as "Super Strong Fine China". I was looking for white dinnerware about 7 years ago and loved the Countryside patterns, but decided stoneware wasn't a good choice for me. I'm short and lifting things in and out of the cabinets at shoulder height and above is difficult with heavy dishes. I found this line and their pattern called Antique White is nearly identical to French Countryside. It's lighter weight and thinner, so the pattern is less pronounced on the rims and the color is a tad brighter white, but they actually work together. I was dismayed by the lack of available serving pieces in Antique White, so I just purchased some of what I liked in French Countryside stoneware and they look perfectly fine together! I know they changed the Antique White pattern slightly after I purchased mine and it was poorer quality and not as pretty. I don't know if they even make it at all any more. I'm so glad I grabbed it when I did!
What fun shopping Goodwill with you! 😊 I love the blue and white Mikasa tea set you looked at in the beginning. I have the very same HB beer stein. I think we got it a local Oktoberfest when we lived in Virginia. It’s holding wooden spoons now next to the stove. We only have the one. I probably didn’t drink any giant mugs of beer but I know my husband did. The Dutch blue and white windmill bottle probably held a liqueur called Vandermint. My mom had it when I was little. I think it was chocolate mint.
I thought the Mastercraft plates made in Japan were cute and looked 'happy' - perfect for a cottage. The white/gold egg plate was really nice.. Thank you for taking us along to yet another great thrifting location.
Why didn’t I know about you for the decades I was going to Houston every few months to visit my mother-in-law? Agh! Now poor dear is deceased so no more frequent trips. But next time I am in Houston, I’m making a list of places to go based on your videos. I did that when we vacationed in Franklin, Tn and it was great.
You would love this Goodwill. It has some great buys and lots of turnover. I'm surprised every time I go . Unfortunately I am in NC until June . But I will get to go with in June through November so I will be happy again !
I thought the clothes were lovely on you. I laugh because more often than not, the items that I would choose you pick them too! We have such good taste, lol.
Really enjoyed this Goodwill Shopping trip today LMB, didn’t want it to end if I’m honest, think I could have filled two trolleys in the store, and the perfect gift for my hubby “The Elvis Coasters” thank you for a great trip and all the tips, I did love the blouse and maxi skirt on you, did you swoop for them? As always best wishes from UK.
My husband and I are traveling and in Tucson AZ for two nights. We stopped at two goodwill stores and were so disappointed. The stores had a lot of clothes but not much in household goods that would be worth a Lady Mary Beth video. Neither had an enclosed ‘treasure island’. Items were not arranged in an attractive manner. Very different from other goodwill stores. I think part of my disappointment was because I have seen many lovely items from Southern AZ goodwill on shopgoodwill so hoped the stores would reflect that. Perhaps we just hit them on an off day😊
Hello Lady Marybeth.Have ever heard of Irish rose crystal of What is your take on the quality. Also Water for crystal designer Gallery Reflexion pattern. Its a big vase.
Great finds. I found a Spode Woodlands Lamp for 7.00 and it is beautiful. I have searched on line for retail price with no luck. Do you have any ideas? Enjoy watching and shopping with you. God Bless
They pull the color of the week off of the shelves all week and just sticker over the old color. Send to other goodwills around Houston and run it several times on their own before it ever gets to the bins. And that is only if it makes it past the donation door and isn't claimed by employees, management, or to be sent to shop goodwill online, and everyone knows it. James Avery will not end up in the store unless by pure accident, which is rare, anymore.
If you find purses and wallets and such at thrift stores and you want to resell (I am not a reseller but thinking about it) them if they aren’t in the best condition so you think it is worth it to get it dry cleaned to get the stains out?
Does anyone else get sad when you see a piece from Kate Spade or Mackenzie Childs? Not the same to me as loosing someone like Liz Claiborne or Gloria Vanderbilt. If willing, I would love your thoughts. Your three kings seem to be monochromatic compared with the ones pictured on the box. Another great, informative video!! Thanks.

FYI. The Betsy Ross plate was made by Enoch Wedgwood, not to be confused with Josiah Wedgwood, the master Potter. This was a great video Mary Beth.

How are the prices on things?
Goodwill has gone up a bit on their prices. Always look for hidden gems. 💎
If you find purses and wallets and such at thrift stores and you want to resell (I am not a reseller but thinking about it) them if they aren’t in the best condition so you think it is worth it to get it dry cleaned to get the stains out?
I would suggest spot cleaning due to the leather trim. Leather conditioner would help with the inside.
The lid is missing on the tea set. Your prices are way off on coach and purses. Wow.
39.99$ for the True Blue set is on the higher end I think for a thrift/charity store. Even if it's Mikasa.
Exactly why I did not bring it home.

I just "down-sized" my wallet, I don't carry a checkbook anymore so got a smaller wallet. Feels a little weird, lol.
I did the same to fit in my Mary Frances clutches, and still have a small insert wallet in use. It’s definitely lighter in the handbag.
Our GOODWILLS are horrible, we have to travel out of state or across state to find things.
That’s unfortunate. Your area Goodwills should get inspired by other locations. There is opportunity to improve. Check out local charity thrift shops.
