      Btw, " celebrate the moment" is the perfect phrase to describe that quick major note change. You should regularly incorporate that phrase into your lessons, IMHO.

    Peter Green is the top of the heap IMHO. Had the blues, psychedelic, and moving towards heavy metal, free form music before we lost him. Thanks for the awesome lesson Mr. Stitch.

    2 drum, 2bass, 5 guitar jam was rocking this tune, when I rode up on my motorcycle and plugged in without taking off my helmet and played the only scale I knew in 1989 Breckenridge.

    I've been playing guitar for 20 years and have never studied any theory at all. I wanted it to be fun and not like homework. But these videos have opened my eyes quite a bit. I've really been missing out. Knowledge is the secret weapon. Thanks so much

      Music theory makes the rules. Musicality tells you (ie. your ears) when to break the rules.

    There must be 100,000 or more"guitar teachers" on TH-cam. You are my absolute favorite. I have learned more watching one or two of your videos than all lessons combined since the 70s. And I remember having to mow two neighbors yards, to earn enough money to have my dad take me to Vine Records, to buy the new Led Zeppelin II album.

    Nailed it man. Theory is a very useful tool to explain what sounds good in a tune, it is not what makes the music! Thanks for the great insight into one of the techniques utilized in Peter and Carlo's solos!

    Love this song and Santana's version is a worthy interpretation and an embellishment. As I'm still in the early days and exploring Scales (poorly) I appreciate and understood the Harmonic Minor. That apart, your exposition and explanation is Excellent. Inspiring stuff and I shall surely come back to this. Thank you.

    Very well done! I'm a skilled gtr player and have been playing this tune many times. My musical ear is not perfect but I found myself sliding a finger to those 'black magic' notes because it just felt right. You are explaining, in a very relaxed way, why it all makes sense. Congratulations!

    Long time guitar player here who recently learned piano and applying each instrument in composing. I really enjoy your explanation and theory. Most guitar players (myself for many years) don't apply music theory to their playing. You do a great job demonstrating the theory of music while knocking out cool riffs. Get it up bro.
