I'm having a problem with my Graco 210es and thought I might need to rebuild my pump, you're correct, I had no idea there was a second ball. Hopefully that fixes my no prime issue, much appreciated!
@@Brian_the_repair_guy Hi I have a 390 nova I install a new full piston new filters And went I turn it on smoke came out from the motor I opened and the fuse was burn ,, put a new fuse and it bun it again Do you think the motor is bad now ? And do you know we’re I can order one
@@juliozapata7571 if your motor smokes, then the motor is bad and needs to be replaced. You can purchase a new motor at most Sherwin William's or any certified Graco repair shop. Do not buy one on line. Chances are it is not a genuine Graco approved motor.
May I ask Brian, When there are a few weeks (2-3) after using the airless sprayer before using him again with (acrylic paint) do I also put anti freeze in the machine for that time? Or left the machine empty after cleaning for few weeks? I suppose it's not good to keep clean water in the machine during 2 weeks.
Hi Brian I have been a painter all my life and just started my first business....... I have around a 1000 dollars to spend on a spray pump in my town I can get a Graco 390 for $850ish with tax or a titan 440 for about a hundred dollars more........which one would you choose if you were me? The titan has better specs but I like the idea of the Graco PC connect......... Which in your opinion?
You have 4 starter options for sprayers. Graco 390 PC or 395 PC then the Titan 410 or the 440. In general the performance of all 4 machines is almost identical on the job. The specs show a slight difference, but in the real world the painter see very little difference. I won't go into details unless you want. The 390 and 410 are basic meat and potatoes. Very simple, very inexpensive for some repairs compared to the 440 or 395 because they are more simplified. The 440 is a slight step above, but not worth the extra money. Use the dollar difference to buy accessories. The 395 PC has one advantage beyond the other three. The 395 will "creep" at low pressure. This gives better control at low pressure. The pump strokes slow to prevent pulsation at the tip. The other 3 give full stroke operation. If you don't plan to spray at lower pressures, then it really does not matter. The Gracos tend to run longer before repack than the Titan. The Titan will need a piston sooner than Graco, but the Titan uses static packings on the upper and lower. This means the cylinder never sees wear. That is one part you will not need to replace on Titans that you will with a Graco. The wear parts are priced almost identically. The warranty is the same. Lifetime on motor and gear box. Be sure of the availability of service centers and parts when choosing. Both Graco and Titan usually offer freebies with a purchase. In the case of these machines, it is usually a few tips. I do not like to reccomend one over the other. The are both quality manufacturers. I give the facts based on my knowledge of the machines from hands on use, repair and real world use from a large number of painters. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any other questions.
Thank you Brian I was actually wanting a 395 but none of the stores in town can get one for quite a few weeks unfortunately and everyone quoted me over 1000 for them so out of my price range really....... The reason I was asking 390 or 440 is because they were the biggest I can get where I live for under 1000 tax and all........... I actually got the 390 because they offered three free tips and a free repair kit...... Titan did not have any offers right now but I hope I will not miss the extra power the 440 had on the 390....... And the store I bought from is a authorized Graco repair store with a very experienced tech...... They also repair titan tho so that aspect wouldn't matter much
@@jesse8330 as I mentioned, with gun in hand, you would see no difference from a 390 to the 440. Maximum tip size for the 390 is 21 and the 440 can go up to a 23. Under almost all circumstances, you will never use above a 21 for the type work you do. Typically a 17 would be the largest you will use. With that in mind, the performance of both machine would be virtually the same. Good luck.
Thanks for the info Brian it definately helped me choose I believe in the long run I made the right choice just because I plan on getting an extra fluid section so if something were to go wrong with the one I have I can change on the fly that was basically the determining factor for me....... Yea I've honestly never used more than a 17 and have almost 20 years experience so I should be ok I think
Started using my 390 today to put solid stain on a very large fence (like 437ft long 6.5 ft high) never had to go past mid pressure to even my spray pattern and chugged right along with me all day on the sun 😎....... I like it alot glad I went with it

Brian, I was looking to see if you have a video on the Graco 190 ES? Thank you, John
Anything in particular about the 190ES you'd like to see?

@rolandsegers6482 if freezing is a concern, use antifreeze. Water is OK for short term storage like this.
Thanks Brian for your kind answers always, you are great!!!
