I wish they focused a bit more on Benny cause he ended up being Tonys most loyal guy. He was so ready to absolutely destroy artie but tony told him no and that was the end of it (except for the thing with the hot gravy, whatever happened there...)
Can you imagine if Christofur got his ass beat by Artie, he'd be dead in a week. Tony already had to save his life when Artie was drunk and he was gonna get stabbed in the eye.
@@pdog109 Chris was a made man; Benny was literally his tiny sidekick. Nobody cared that Artie beat him up, not even Christopher. Associate-on-associate violence.
This was an interesting episode all around. On the one hand, it's the episode where we arguably sympathize with Artie the most (which is saying a lot), since he gets royally screwed by Benny & co. Plus we all admire him for having the balls to confront step up to Benny and even beat the shit out of him. On the other hand, Artie also shows a rather nasty attitude throughout this episode, particularly to Tony, who-for the most part, at least-was just trying to help him. And of course, taunting Benny after he'd already come out on top in their beef was an *EXTREMELY* stupid move. (Also, this is the one episode where we saw Charmaine actually show Artie affection. I remember when this episode first aired, I thought, "Damn-they *finally* show us she actually loves him!!")
I dont think there was anything wrong with him being nasty to Tony. The problem was he tried to shag the albanian and didnt quit while ahead with Benny.
Benny was stupid to target Artie. Artie wasn't some random civilian on the street. Artie was practically made man himself due to his close friendship with Tony. If you're with a boss, you don't get touched, robbed or anything else without consequences. If you do, it's the same thing as violating Cosa Nostra by crossing a boss and that can result in a death sentence. Now, if Benny had permission from Tony, that would have been different, but Benny is lucky that Tony didn't have him whacked.
As a 20 year old I didn't pick up on the womans lack of accountability. As a now early 40s guy I pick up on it right away. Amazing how our views change as we get older.
Artie had that coming. Running his fat mouth to a mobster, humiliating him in front of his wife after rebuffing a gesture of good will from a defeated foe; he deserved that, and I have little sympathy for his character. Even knowing how much that must have hurt. At least Bennie didn't get his ass kicked again, eh? Win one for mini bennie. Was that his only screen victory?
@Grape Ape95 “Artie was the worst of the bunch” in early days of high school as a teen. Assuming his Pops and Charmaine had an influence of persuading him to a clean hard working life.

I remember seeing that when this episode first aired on TV & I laughed my butt off...
I still find that funny, to this day.
I love how benny takes the hand that artie touched his shoulder with he even looked at it...great fore shadow
That whole situation with these two, whatever happened there...total debacle.
Associate-on-associate violence.
little Benny couldn't destroy anyone lol
@@Rutherford_Inchworm_III benny was made a season before this when phil put him in the hospital tony said he opened the books for him
Artie: “WE LEAD THE WORLD OF COMPUTERISED DATA COLLECTION!”
Benny telling Artie that he was gonna cut him in on stealing money from Artie’s business is amazing
“I’m on my way to the hospital....”
“Well that’s up to you.”
I still think Arties old ladie was the best looking in the whole show.
Including Adriana.
Doogie Howser patched up Benny real good after Artie slapped him around a little bit.
Benny always had the makings of an iconic PlayStation 2 character
Tony was never trying to help him. Tony and his crew were scumbags
I dont think there was anything wrong with him being nasty to Tony. The problem was he tried to shag the albanian and didnt quit while ahead with Benny.
I hope the beef between HBO and Borko can be resolved as peacefully as the one between Artie and Benny.
Artie was a king of the kitchen. Always ready to serve a grilled cheese from the radiator.
Benny and Artie both got their asses kicked many times on the show.
that little fist fight artie had with the air 😂😂
How many times has Benny got his ass laid out? The man is this series’s punching bag.
The martini, whatever happened there...
Whatever happened there ??
lol..”your brother billy, whatever happened there”...
Benny's pregnant wife's ultrasound results, whateva happened dere?... Oh I forgot,he told Tony he could see a little cannoli
2:50 Even in his only badass scene Artie's flailing around like a goofball. Credit to John Ventimiglia for his hilarious acting!
Comments on the Borko Sopranos uploads: more entertaining than the videos themselves. I said my piece.
I love the reaction of the sous chef when Benny burns Artie’s hand.. they should have done more with that character
2:01 She had better be careful, Arties gonna put that on her permanent record. Lol.
WE LEAD THE WORLD IN COMPUTERISED DATA COLLECTION
Second favorite episode behind the pine barrens, loved to watch somebody stick it to the mafia
You don’t shit where you eat…and you really don’t shit where I eat. 😅
Adrenaline is an amazing thing. No way in hell a guy like Artie would take down a street guy like Benny. But his anger is why he won that fight
Benny got his ass handed to him by a 60 year old man in the previous season. I don't think we ever saw him win a fight.
@Grape Ape95 “Artie was the worst of the bunch” in early days of high school as a teen. Assuming his Pops and Charmaine had an influence of persuading him to a clean hard working life.
Say what you want about Artie, but Benny couldn't beat his own shadow.
@@silversnail1413 he was jumped by three men and Phil had a golf club, hardly a fair fight
Benny was 5'2" and 120lbs. He was the furthest thing from a street tough guy lol
"yeah I heard they go down very easily. right Benny?"
oof.
Go Artie! One of my favorite characters. Good to see him kicking ass after taking so much shit throughout the series.
What did the other American Express agent say, again around 0:34-0:38?...
"Based on cardholder disputes, we show 9 hits in this--" what?...
He said "LOCUS" which means "a particular position or place where something occurs or is situated"
He's also on a bunch of The Onion's In the Know sketches; a guest host for Clifford Banes
Artie has some of the most creative passive aggressive lines like the martina one. Or “I was just another victim of Benny Fazio- criminal mastermind” I love when he starts sticking up for himself I just wish he had a bigger arc and maybe evolved into a bigger badass.
There's nothing we could do. Artie wasn't a made man and Benny was. It was among the Vesuvio's. Real meatball shit.
Charmaine Bucco - Oof Madone'!
Yeah she’s a hottie
Her ass may be improved but...
2:29 Now is Artie just done that to the French guy, he would have saved Furio a trip.
Fraud Investigator: "Newavo Vesuvio."
Artie: "Nuovo."
Fraud Investigator: "Well, you oughta know, sweetie!"
